What a surprise! There never seems to be anyone in the place but there should be. Everyone seems to use it as a takeaway joint, me included. Not any more. Expect to see me and the wife sitting at a window table enjoying the fresh, tasty curries.
Consistently great Thai food. Beautiful traditional flavours and great variety of choices. Ambiance is basic but amazing food and friendly staff for a local suburban Thai restaurant. Has been my go to Thai for more than 15 years and yet to find better
Very good place if you happen to be in the area and craving for Thai food. We ordered chilli chicken, Tom yum soup and beef salad and we found the food was cooked nicely, served quickly and came out in a generous portion. The beef salad was my personal favourite. The taste might be a bit weaker than some other Thai restaurants but overall it's still good enough.
It was no surprise to me when I heard our neighbouring table comment "no need to see the menu" as we sat down to eat at this Albert Park institution. Situated on the corner of Ferrars and Vic Ave for as long as I can remember, there is a reason why the locals keep coming back to Pacific Rim Thai - and no, it's not just because the food is fresh and full of flavour - Pacific Rim Thai is proof that you don't have to go to a fine dining restaurant to get top quality service. Not only were the staff incredibly friendly and attentive, they made sure our water carafe was never empty and asked questions such as "are you ready for your mains, or would you like to wait a while?".
Fantastic Thai food. Tried a different place recently and wished I had order pacific rim. Perfect green curries, balanced well with chicken and veggies! Lots of bamboo shoots. Yum yum. They have great lil entrees such as the prawns in pastry and the mixed entree which is really good to Very well priced :) if you want authentic full of flavour and well priced Thai food go here it won't disappoint.
A good local will be there for you time after time and will never change their fish cakes recipe on you! And Pacific Rim have definitely not! It’s been a good 8 years now and whenever we go there we know we are guaranteed friendly smiles, great food, BYO and a good catch up with friends. It’s a big menu but I swear we have the same thing everytime because it is just so damn good that I crave it as soon as we leave!!
Great food, friendly service and good value. The meat in all the dishes was tender and succulent. Sauces were fresh and flavorsome. Better than the Thai restaurants in Port Melbourne.
Ordered food here whilst in Melbourne and was guided by reviews. The food arrives fast and were full of meat and veggies. The disappointing part was that the pod prik was very bland and I was expecting it to have some heat in it like it said in the menu. The lemongrass beef had more flavour, but only just. Not the flavour filled Thai dishes I was expecting.
The restaurant was very quiet for a Thursday night, but it was clear that they were super busy from a take-away perspective. Restaurant lacks some atmosphere - perhaps because it was so quiet. Food was really good, had the beef massaman curry (amazing) and vegetarian pad thai (ok). It was a bit strange to see children mixing drinks behind the counter and it was difficult to get the waitress' attention when we wanted to pay the bill. I will be back, they just need to sharpen up their service levels.
This was some of then best Thai I have had......and I have had alot. Got a stirfry and massaman curry! Just delicious. Their coconut rice was also perfect. Would highly recommend to all.
This is a damn beautiful space for some amazing Thai food, especially the Pork Belly and Fish Cakes...Cannot go wrong with them.
During happy hours the prices of Fish Cakes are 50% less....absolute steal and goes well with any beer or wine or cocktails.
This pocket friendly restaurant offers great hospitality and some good selection of wines.

✨Saturday Date Night In✨
Although we can now visit restaurants, doesn’t mean they will all be available at any time we want. We do need to book them early on as everyone wants to go out too, especially after our lockdown.
But that won’t stop us from getting delicious meals like these dishes we ordered from @pacificrimthai ✨
These were the dishes we got:
1. Pineapple fried rice 🍍🍚
I always crave the sweet, savory and a bit of sourness in this dish. It’s also obvious that this dish was cooked in a hot wok as I could see the burnt parts in some of the rice & seafood, and those gave the best flavor!
2. Thai Chicken Ribs 🍗
There’s always something about the seasonings on thai ribs that are sooo different to any other fried chicken. They’re just so fragrant and flavorful 🤤
3. Pad Satay 🥘
This was something new that we’ve never tried before. I was a bit skeptical about how a peanut sauce will taste like in a soupy format, but it turned out to be quite delicious!
Overall, we loved the dishes we ordered from here! Really recommended ☺️

I have been getting takeaway from here for years and I have been very happy from the very start.
I was fortunate enough to meet the new owner about six months ago and he said they were going to make some adjustments to the menu & food.
To be honest I was a little concerned because why change a winning formula except when you make changes and you hit it out of the park.
The change in beef massaman was simply outstanding last night that I had to write a review
Having the beef falling apart and so succulent with a slight improvement to the sauce as well as all the other perfect changes has been fantastic well done .
A great place I highly recommend it dining in or at home.
This is a decent place for some Thai food. The flavours were not what I'm used to but it still had nice flavour that made it an enjoyable meal. The staff was nice and friendly and I'd definitely come again
Visiting from interstate we took our local relatives here as a treat for hosting us. And what a treat it was. Meals were all great and we were pleasantly surprised by the bill at the end.The wait staff were pleasant and attentive and byo wine was also appreciated. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Delicious authentic flavours with the friendliest service! The atmosphere was nice enough for a date while not too stuffy to have a meal as a family. Recommended!
