As a coeliac, it is so hard to find many gluten free options from cafes. Wellzone has an amazing range of food and sweet treats which are delicious. I cannot wait for the cafe to reopen again, because their concept is just amazing and there is definitely a gap in the market!

I was invited to try out Wellzone GF & absolutely loved it. As a vegan, they were super accomadating to dietary requirements. The owners and staff are very passionate about the café being gluten free AND delicious.

I don't personally have any gluten intolerances but having friends who have allergies it's so refreshing to find a place that is certified to be celiac friendly. The food is very flavourful, it's so impressive that almost everything is made in house - even the baked goods!

They've done an amazing job of creating a menu that is allergy friendly but also delicious for everyone to enjoy. I brought home several baked goods to share with my family because they were that good.

😱Lizzie’s first impression: this is my first time trying out a completely gluten free and coeliac menu and I was blown away!

🍩Lizzie enjoyed: the salad was really good and not what I had expected at all - I’m not one for tofu and plain greens but this salad was mixed in a really delicious peanut sauce which was delicious.

The crispy chicken fillet salad was very yummy - the chicken albeit a little dry had really good flavour and mixed well with the salad.

I tried the chia seed pudding which was phenomenal - it had a crunchy texture from the puffs and tasted fresh with the raspberries.

I also got to try the dessert platter and it was absolutely outstanding. I’m not one for chocolate forest cakes but this one not only tasted like it wasn’t gluten free but actually had great cocoa flavours to it. I was so impressed with the cheesecake too - one of the standouts id say!
The macarons, donuts and cupcakes were all very moist and very well presented. I was so stoked to try this platter and still can’t believe everything is gluten free!

🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: the chia seed pudding was great but the raspberries in the cup was a little too sour for me - would have been good if they added some strawberries or even kiwis to sweeten it up! But hey - raspberries are healthy so I’m not complaining!

🥇Lizzie rates overall: loved how they had a communal table in the middle and used as much sunlight as possible - cafe looks great, staff are super friendly and selection of food is astounding.

Couldn't have been a better day than today to taste these unbelievably moreish doughnuts, macarons and cupcakes...
They are
Gluten Free
Dairy Free
Eggless
Sugar Free
And even Butter Free.
🧁
I mean did you read that.... and they were extremely satisfying and absolutely indulgent desserts.
🍩
@wellzonesgf are a 100% gluten free cafe, that make all their goods within their premises including their cakes, breads, dips and are the 1st Gluten Free Bakery Café in Australia accredited by Coeliac Australia.
🍩
Liwe and Ivan's journey to @wellzonesgf began when their son was diagnosed with coeliac disease circa 2011 and how they started a new lifestyle of cooking in a gluten free environment. And along with their journey started their quest to prove to the world that gluten free food is not tasteless, which has turned into their haven and their reality, and oh the truth they are telling the world is an eye opener for many.
🍞
I was amazed at how luscious and soft the butter free cakes were, and the fact that they were so wholesome was just amazing to see.
🧁LEWI tells me that she feels guilty no more as she could treat her kids with goodies that every child dreams of, and now through @wellzonesgf she is paving the way for thousands of families like hers to enjoy the sweet delights in a riskfree environment.

#mojolevel 7/5 :For baking the most amazing, wholesome, healthy, guiltfree goodies.
I still cannot believe the moisteness and softness (and yet no butter or eggs)

This cafe was a pleasant surprise. We were skeptical about gluten free food because of previous experiences. However, we would happily return here as the food was so delicious.

We were invited today to try a range of meals from their Asian inspired menu. We were served the almond crumbed chicken on cauliflower rice with a Japanese dressing and the vegan potato and tofu salad with a peanut and lime dressing. Both were absolutely delicious. We were surprised at how tasty a vegan salad could be, and you can’t go wrong with fried chicken.

We were also served the chicken pesto gourmet sandwich. The bread was made from quinoa flour and chia seeds, and is made in-house. The bread itself was impressive and reminded me of a rice flour based bread. We added a little salt and it went down a treat.

We were so full from the savoury items that we were kindly given a takeaway box filled with the GF and vegan desserts to eat later. We are currently in the process of devouring them. The current highlight is the Pandan cake with cream cheese icing. If you have had Pandan chiffon cake before, this is just as good, if not better. This I could not believe is gluten free.

The owner, Liwe, created all these dishes so that her sons could safely eat them. And boy, has she mastered the art. Thank you for having us - we will be back!

We were invited to Welzones today and I was so thoroughly impressed by the high quality of everything we tried. Often those who have intolerances such as gluten and dairy free are unfortunately forced to sacrifice flavour but here we had some of the most delicious sweet treats that rivalled even those I’ve previously enjoyed laden with butter and sugar (and they were vegan too). I was at a loss to understand how they made them so tasty without all those requisite ingredients we are accustomed to, very well done!

The concept was born as a result of the owners children’s illnesses. In the spirit of inclusivity and wanting to give those who suffer from intolerances somewhere they could have their pick of the menu and be entirely safe they went about creating a completely gluten free cafe and bakery which has been accredited by Coeliac Australia, the first of its kind. I ordered the breakfast board and hubby the chilli scrambled.

My dish came with superseed bread and his with chia bread we were in love with the freshly baked loaves made daily and these whipped up early that morning. They were so light and wholesome and my board in its entirety delightful with a yummy mango chia pudding and delicious orange juice. Thoroughly recommend trying!

We also tried one of their sandwiches the chicken pesto which was very good. The pricing is extremely reasonable given you are enjoying high quality premium ingredients and the eggs and proteins are free range.

We then had a stunning array of desserts from cupcakes to macarons, donuts, a cinnamon scroll and a delectably creamy cheesecake (lactose free). It’s simply crazy to comprehend how phenomenal these tasted considering no sugar was used to create them, such talented chefs in the kitchen! We also tried a pandan flavoured cake which was impossibly light and the requisite vibrant shade of green. All round exceptional

Opening up a cafe is hard enough, but making it completely gluten free is a whole different level! It is the first gluten free bakery cafe accredited by Coeliac Australia, which is amazing! On top of this, all of the dishes are also refined sugar free (using maple syrup as a sweetener), use no artifical colours or flavours or preservatives, and have a large range of vegetarian & vegan options! The owners and staff should be congratulated on such an awesome feat!
I'm so glad I was able to try out their new Winter Menu, which was so delicious.

The food and drinks were so good!
The coffee was really nice, not too bitter which I love!
The savoury dishes were so flavoursome. In particular, the warming new stew that's been released for winter. It's a little oily, but that makes it perfect for keeping you warm in winter.
The green wrap was very refreshing. Instead of a normal wheat based wrap, it's wrapped in lettuce! The ingredients inside included the classic egg, ham and cheese.
The trio of sliders included: almond crumb chicken with coleslaw, tofu with vegan salad & ham with vegan cheese. My favourite was the cirpsy chicken which the saucy coleslaw. However, all of them were yummy!
The sweets at this cafe were the stand out. I was lucky enough to go before Mothers Day & was able to indulge on the vanilla chocolate, and strawberry/blueberry special cupcakes! Both cupcakes were rich, moist and sweet. The passionfruit tart was so nice, with a nice crispy pastry that crumbled in the mouth, and a slightly sour/sweet filling. The macaroons were both winners, and so yummy I wanted more! The doughnuts were a little dense, but to be expected when there isn't any gluten in the flour! I couldn't decide if I liked the white chocolate or dark chocolate one better!

The staff were so friendly, and a special shout out to the lovely Sharon, and the barista Henry, who served me during my visit. Even though it was pouring with rain outside, the cafe felt warm & cosy. A must try cafe for people who can't, and can, eat gluten!

Had the pleasure of dining at Australia’s first Gluten Free Cafe this morning ☺️
We tried a range of different dishes including :

- The Wellzones Brekkie ( the superseed toast was freshly baked and tasted amazing!! Especially with the avocado and mushrooms 👌🏼👌🏼- it was so filling as well)

-Tempeh + Ham and Cheese Slider ( that tempeh was cooked so nicely and the texture was perfect + that sauce was delicious too)

-Lemongrass Chicken ( that broth was cooked so perfectly, everything was super fresh and the noodles and chicken was cooked perfectly 🙌🏼 I liked that you could tell there wasn’t any added preservatives or MSG in the broth - like many other chicken soups I’ve had 😓- I’d definitely recommend this 👌🏼)

- my Favourite part was trying all those delicious gluten free desserts!! I loved the cheesecake and pandan cake especially !!! Plus the donuts and cupcake was also so satisfying 👌🏼👌🏼
- can’t wait to visit Wellzones again
- also thanks to Liz for being a lovely host 💕
