Lovely decor and good service. Tried the BBQ pork buns, chicken ribs, prawn wontons and some dumplings, and loved the flavours. Plenty of room.
Went upstairs to the bar on a Saturday night for a late dinner. Seated straight away and menu at the bar was the same as the restaurant section. The food was ready in no time and was excellent quality. Only thing stopping me from rating 5 is probably the price factor. Great service and friendly staff. Flavourful food and would definitely come again.
The music was great, $1 dumplings good value as was the happy hour. The food is just ok (same as orientalist teahouse) but the setting is nice and intimate. The girl who was waiting upstairs was so lovely and worked so hard - she is the reason why we would come back well done!
Nice small venue hidden up the top of Oriental Tea house. Been a couple of times on a Wednesday for their $1 dumplings. Pork or Veg. They're fantastic, super delicious! Also had the salt and pepper tofu and veggie spring rolls.. couldn't fault them.
Drinks were good, get there before 7 for happy hour prices. Also had a cosmo which was nice, bartender was friendly and quick. Would just recommend some more variety with the cocktails that are available as jugs. Settled on the blood orange jug with the recommendation of the bartender but it was pretty average, I think they could have some more appealing Ines to add to the list.
Nice vibe, fantastic live music. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
We ate at Zhou Zhou on a Thursday around 2pm, the kitchen was still open and there is nothing that came out that disappointed. We tried dumplings to start, fantastic, then moved to steak and chicken dishes with rice - OMG! At that time of the day it was quite and service was great but you cannot top the food, it was amazing. Would highly recommend for the food quality, quantity and price. We will be returning without question.

The happiest of happy hours can be found at Zhou Zhou for there is nothing that makes me happier than hawker street delights. The interiors are all very 1930's opium den complete with vintage posters of Chinese girls. Pairing killer cocktails amongst the paper lanterns and other eclectic touches you can easily sit here grazing all night. I ordered an Aloe Vera, a peachy concoction with gin, mint and (obviously) aloe vera and then got down to the serious business of working my way through the menu. My favourites were the ginger prawn dumplings, authentic prawn dumplings, spring rolls, rice paper rolls and salt and pepper calamari which were all perfect for sharing. The two of us rolled down the stairs practically bursting
I celebrated my birthday last Saturday, Hayden and the staff were very friendly, cocktails were good too!š that was the second time I went to Zhou Zhou and always had a good service! Thank you!
Zhou Zhou is the place to go if you want affordable share plates and a cocktail on a Friday night. The food comes straight up from the tea house, the only difference is the bar atmosphere!
Funky gem for the pre, during and post drinking tummy workoutš
This funky little bar is tucked away upstairs from the Oriental teahouse on Chapel st. You'd seriously miss it if you weren't looking.... This place has pretty much the same menu as the Oriental tea house and that's because they share a kitchen. What makes it stand out a little more for me is the cosy bar vibe, the personable staff and the few menu additions like the chicken ribs and beer combo $15 bargain! !.... these crispy salt and pepper morsles are very moorish but make sure it's a naughty day because they are not for those watching their weight....it was the alcohols fault, right?? My favourites were the salt and pepper tofu, really light and crispy on the outside, delicious and creamy on the inside. The prawn and ginger dumplings were the bomb!! And the veggie spring rolls, seconds pleaseš nice place to meet up for pre drinks or after hrs munchies.

Really awesome bar located inside the Oriental Tea House on Chapel Street. Very cozy with a fun, cheerful interior. Lots of amazing drinks to chose from, too.Ā
I'd also like to thank Aidan (event manager), who was very pleasant when showing us around when we were trying to figure out where to have our function. He was very helpful and polite.
Interesting cocktail bar venue attached to the downstairs Oriental Teahouse restaurant. Would recommend the steam buns and sticky beef.
Variety of tapestries and neon signs cover the wall and stairway. Very chilled out on a weekday evening.
Amazing food with even better service! We went to Zhou Zhou Bar to celebrate my GFās bday and we couldnāt be happier. Table service was outstanding. We brought some Balloons and a cake and their staff were super friendly and helpful with everything we needed. I just can say good things about their food, ambience and staff.
Weāll come back soon, thatās for sure.

What an amazing place. Dumpling special on Wednesday is to die for. Great service and killer dumplings. One of the best dumplings in Melbourne.
Cute and cosy little bar with good happy hour specials and friendly staff. The cocktails we tried were great too.

The atmosphere was great, the staff were helpful. And they knew how to make every cocktail I could ask for.
Dropped in for some arvo dumplings and a beer. Very friendly staff, dumplings outstanding, nice atmosphere even though quiet when we were there.
