I ordered the crispy pork, tender roasted duck with rice. The meal's portion was a large one, hence it was value for money.

I came here for lunch and ordered a takeaway wonton noodle soup. I was served really quickly, despite it being busy. The soup, wonton and noodles comes in two containers. One holding the noodles and wontons and the other with broth. It was perfect for a winters day. Each wonton had a whole prawn inside, and the soup was so tasty. I would definitely come back for lunch.

Another day, another Swanston Street restaurant. I'm working my way up and down this street, exploring what's on offer. The China Bar has always stood out because it's one of the few that displays the well known 'duck' hanging in the window. I was going to grab takeaway but instead this time I ate in. The staff were quick to serve and their English was pretty good. Decided to order the sliced beef with oyster sauce and the flat rice noodles. The taste was pretty good and the portion size reasonable. My friend who accompanied me is a vegetarian and there was plenty of choices for her. I got to try a bit of her serving and found it quite good. Price was slightly on the higher side for me but the food was good. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. High chairs available. Pram and stroller accessible.

Charkwetiau here is pretty good. Other dish can be so so only. Would normally come here for supper as they open 24/7. Service isn’t the best but you would come here for the food.

Amazing Food - The consistency is amazing, its open 24x7, that's one of the best thing in the city. Good interior with clean toilets if dinning in.

To go place for supper as they open 24/7. Pretty decent meal and great value, would normally go with either their fried rice or fried kwetiaw dish.

Taste so nice! My favorite is chicken laksa which is really really good! I really love to eat here and talk with my friend while enjoying the food. Will come here oftenly in future :) Anyway, all the pics below is different item.

Our regular restaurant for a quick, tasty meal with warm hospitality. The beef brisket and wonton noodle soup is rich and hearty. The roast combination duck and pork is succulent and sweet. The seafood combination dry noodles was a bit too salty but the prices are very reasonable with a wide range of choice. The friendly manager always makes us feel very welcome and the waitstaff are polite and efficient. We prefer to eat at our local restaurant rather than an international chain because it supports the local economy.

Decent and authentic fish head curry. Service is non existent across all China Bar stores. Very crowded and loud store to eat in at. Isn't exactly the spot to catch up with friends but if you're just after a quick and cheap lunch this is the place to go.

The dish is really good and the service is nice as well, open 24 hrs can go any time to recharge ur body. Like the hainaness chicken rice so much.
