3.5. An enjoyable meal overall, despite a slightly long wait for the meal to be cooked. I loved the sztrapacska (dumplings), have never had them before and loved the hints of sourness in the dish. The chicken schnitzel was tender on the inside, a little overcooked on the edges. Beef goulash was tasty although just a note that it comes with mashed potatoes rather than dumplings (as shown in the photos when ordering online). Friendly service.
Bit of a neighbourhood gem this one. Not sure why it took me so long to give it a try the Hungarian Indian combo has always been intriguing. Service was relaxed and friendly and every dish perfectly balanced spicy and fresh. The naan beautifully crisp and soft. Everything was also incredibly reasonably priced. Took me a long time to try but certainly won’t be so Long before I return. Yum :-)
Last night I had dinner with my family at diamond Indian and Hungarian that was amazing we ordered from both menu it was delicious and food presentation very good I love garlic naan and Hungarian Langosh that was also call garlic naan and the place looks so clean and beautiful and services was excellent

As the name suggests, these guys are running two cuisines side by side. We visited and tried items from both menus. Super impressed- what a combo! The curry was great, naan some of the best I've had, onion and spinach bhajis, delicious. Hungarian selections complimented surprisingly well- loved the sheep's cheese spätzle! Homely and hearty cuisine. Unfortunately we were the only ones in the shop- a problem easily solved if you bring along a group of mates and give these guys a go!
I've been there so many time with my family and friend . I order some Curries and naan which was so delicious. Korma was awesome.. Punjabi beef was really really superb .. At the end I loved there service which was very fasts and friendly .. Recommend to go there and try new taste .. I will go again and again . Thx
Excellent flavoursome and delicious food only rivalled by the fantastic and speedy service received. Great tasting Dahl and very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend highly 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
We dined here last night and I can't wait to go back!We've eaten a lot of Indian food in Melbourne and I'm usually prepared for a heavy oily meal. At Diamond Indian the chef is trying to change Indian cuisine so that the meals are all fresh, individually prepared and not oily. We had Gol Gappa for entre (flavour explosions in my mouth!) and two vegetarian dishes including delicious potatoes stuffed with fruit and cheese in a amazing cashew creamy sauce. We asked for the curries to be extra spicy and they came out nice and hot! A nice change from other restaurants that don't believe you if you want it hot. It's so great to find an Indian Restaurant where all the curries taste fresh and different and the chef is clearly passionate about the cuisine.Can't recommend it enough!
We've been to Diamond on numerous occasions. The food and service has been 1st class since it opened.

Best indian restaurant in inner North melbourne. Dishes are not oily at all. Tandoori chicken was the winner. They have a good bar too with excellent wines.
