Awesome place. Great service. Polite and friendly staff. Good food and vibes! What else can I say, just a bunch of legends doing their stuff.
My fiance and I had our engagement party at Concrete Boots. The space was perfect for our 110 guests. Andrew is the owner and a legend at that. Both he and Tara were accomodating and made sure the day went smoothly. Food was spot on especially for my big Italian family. I recommend getting the grazing table option. The drinks were awesome and probably the best Espresso Martini's going around. Absolutely smashed it. 10/10. Couldn't be happier.
Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks and always a great time. Highly recommended for functions - the table tennis table is a bonus. Staff and service are phenomenal. Will be back!
Yummiest kangaroo burger. The patty itself tasted delicious, lean & healthy. The copious amount cheese, brioche & chips will of course cancel this out, but add immensely to the tastiness. Best burger (although my partner's patty could have been cooked through a bit more). Sweet potato chips were super crisp & perfect. The salad was a little bit disappointing, as it was quite plain - maybe a veggie salad could have been more interesting. Definitely only order salad as side. If you are trying to be healthy, you can get your burger in lettuce cups. These surprisingly looked like they held together pretty well!! The best part is the atmosphere, with an awesome craft beer selection, cocktails, music & a table tennis table! Staff are attentive, helpful & friendly
Love this bar! Relaxed, good food and good drinks. There's also a ping pong table if you're feeling competitive. Great vibe
We had the boots snack pack, which is a delicious vegan twist on a HSP. Highly recommended even if you're not vegan. Great selection of rotating beer. Doesnt get too rowdy so perfect for a date night or to have a beer during summer.
Concrete Boots Bar is a newish bar at the Swan Street end of Burnley Street that’s aiming to bring something a bit different to the rather dire offering that’s been presented to lovers of quality drink around this part of Richmond.
Spam Chips. SPAM. Chips. Yeah that's what I thought. But no, they're actually delicious. So delicious in fact, that I'll definitely be taking myself back to Concrete Boots some time very soon. Named for Richmond's Gangster days where some less fortunate folk found themselves at the bottom of the Yarra sporting a pair of slabs; Concrete Boots still has the bullet holes in their facade from the era. Their opening night featured 90s hip hop tunes, ping pong and thankfully no actual concrete boots (that I know of).
Sticking with the theme why not order yourself a 'Smokey Joe'; Boots' take on an Old Fashioned. Or bring it into the modern era with a 'Love Lychee'; house infused basil gin and rose water. With a host of awesome local (and rotating) beers on tap as well as a generous wine list, there'll be something for everyone. Among faves on the food menu, the avocado tartar and mini cheeseburgers were definite crowd pleasers.
Great for a meal, pre/post dinner drink or just to settle in for the night, Concrete Boots is sure to hit the spot.
Concrete Boots is Richmond’s new destination for craft beer, cocktails and bar food in the heart of Burnley Street. The name refers to the old local history, when criminals on the run ended up in the Yarra River sporting ‘concrete boots’. The front door of the venue is even tarnished with bullet holes from outlaw Squizzy Taylor.
Best new bar in Richmond!
Happened to mosey upon Concrete Boots during the ultimate bar shout (courtesy of Young Henry's brewing). While the free flowing beers did all that was needed to sooth the soul, the real standout winner here is the bar itself. Concrete Boots boasts 12 odd taps of local & import craft beers, a chilled venue space & a spot on burger menu! Cant fault it ~ Will be back!
Had a great time here. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable, we got to try a selection of creative cocktails and their beer selection is unmatched in this area!
The menu is so well thought out and accommodating, it covers a wide range of dietary requirements without being limited.
Will definitely be coming back.
Whoever thought of that avocado tartare is an absolute genius.
We recently had our engagement party at Concrete Boots Bar on a Saturday night for 70 people, and we couldn't have asked for a better night! The manager Olivia and the owner Andrew were fantastic, very experienced at hosting events, made the night go smoothly and were happy to accommodate our requests. They were great with communication leading up to the event and ensuring all details were covered, even things we hadn't thought of. On the night we had many guests comment that the staff were attentive, friendly, and especially mindful of people with dietary requirements. The drink range is perfect with craft beers and Fizzers, and they accommodated cocktail requests from us. The range of food was great, lots of homemade canapes, very yummy. The space is comfortable and quite spacious for this amount of people. We brought in a couple of decorations and the team were very happy to be flexible with this too. Overall we would highly recommend Concrete Boots Bar for events, we honestly can't think of anything to fault! Thank you for hosting our party, it was awesome fun :)
We recently held my daughter’s 21st party at the Concrete Boots Bar.
Andrew was so helpful from the word go, even opening especially for us to have a look at the bar as we had not been there before.
He thought of everything and promptly answered my endless emails.
The night was great, the venue has a great location and vibe and the food was tasty and very reasonable.
Everyone commented on how friendly and helpful the staff were. The bar staff were awesome.
There was a great selection of drinks.
Thanks again for making it a great night and I would recommend anyone looking to host a party big or small from a 21st to a 60th to try the Concrete Boots Bar.
We will be back to try the cocktails!
Have nothing but good things to say about this venue. Just spent the last couple of hours enjoying their bottomless brunch and am incredibly full of amazing food and cocktails as a result. Great value as
a pub and also enjoyed the smashing old Goldie tunes along with my food and drink! Will definitely be back again soon - thanks so much to the staff for the amazing food, drinks, music and hospitality!
Best Tom Collins I've had in Melbourne, perfect ballance of grapefruit and bitters that darts around the edge of sweet and sour. Andrews craftwork at its finest.
Amazing staff, super accommodating and friendly. Came in for the bottomless brunch at 3pm which was super delicious and great value. Stayed for a few more hours due to the friendly staff and their great drink recommendations. Cannot recommend highly enough
Really nice little bar within spitting distance from the Burnley station. I almost didn't see it because the outside is not as brightly lit up as the pub across the road, but I'm glad I discovered Concrete Boots because they have a great range of beers on tap and the vibe is excellent. Will certainly be back the next time I'm in the area.
Great bar with very friendly staff who took care of us for my friend’s baby shower. Great drinks and atmosphere, food was really good also. Highly recommend for a get together with friends for lunch or dinner, or just drinks
Bottomless experiece - outstanding service and value! Grace looked after our every need, kept the food & drinks coming. Everything was top notch, 5/5 would recommend.
