One of the best Laksas we have ever had for sure along with the lip smacking Wasabi Prawns! We were delighted to have each and everything we had ordered and were equally happy with the service.
We had ordered the Wasabi Prawns, Pork Spring Rolls and Pan Fried Pork Dumplings for starters with Iced Teh Tarik and Malaysian Iced Coffee to drink. Each and everything was delicious, specially the Wasabi Prawns (will go back specifically for this dish) while the pork spring rolls were amazingly crispy outside and loaded with tasty filling inside. The dumplings were really good as well.
We had ordered Chicken Laksa and Combination Laksa for mains and both the varieties were out of the world!
Special mention for the amazing service we received while seated upstairs.
Must try place in Melbourne if you like Malaysian food 😃
My score 4.0 stars (avge of 2 visits). J and I had our first lunch out post CV19 closures on Fri 5th June. Plenty of spacing and staff were good.
Nasi lemak w chicken curry ($13.80) – Flavoursome curry, plenty of boneless chicken, fried egg, good ikan bilis, no sambal (but really nice Achar made up for this).
Combination Laksa sans chicken ($12.80) – Tasty as! Great value, plenty of seafood but not much veg other than eggplant & beanshoots.
May 2019. Staff nice, nice plates, spacious, could get noisy when full. Small place, more upmarket than LK. You order via a touchscreen pad.
Peking duck buns ($11.80) - 2 smallish steamed buns. Nice duck – prob prefer trad pancakes. Overall, very sweet & prob a bit expensive.
Vego Laksa ($12.80) - Eggplant, Purple cauli, White cauli, Green cauli, Carrot, Tofu, Broccoli, Beanshoots, Snowpeas, Corn, Fried shallots, Mushrooms. Spicy creamy soup. Reg = Large is a big big serve & good value!
Fried Kuay Teow ($14.80) - Reasonable char. Noodles chopped and separate (nice). Beanshoots, Chicken, 4 prawns, Fishcake, Tiny bit of spring onion. Nice chilli level but no lup cheong. A little bit overpriced IMO.
Honestly, partner and I loved it! Just as good as Laksa King! Love that you got to choose the laksa sizes, I’m pretty little so sometimes the really big sizes can be hard to finish. Also must say some of the best duck I’ve had in a while. It was fresh and delightful to eat!
