REASONABLE PASTA IN THE FOOD COURT AT EMPORIUM
A selection of various pastas and pizzas and fruit juices.
Service is reasonably fast (you take a buzzer and come back when your dish is ready).
Our order got mixed up - first on the pasta (served spaghetti instead of penne) and the drink (given apple juice instead of orange juice).
maybe the server was having a bad day.. but do check when you collect your order.
No dedicated tables but it is in the "quieter" end of the food court where there is a better chance of scoring a table (or sharing a bench) at the very busy weekend lunch peak.
No problem for people with mobility issues

What a poor excuse for service.. I had asked for take away, and when I got to the counter they had it served on a plate. Only to find the guy that served me, in the kitchen on his phone (probably scrolling through Facebook). I then got given my meal in 2 seperate containers.. (photo below) what a waste of plastics.. the $10 panini wasn’t anything special either. Money would be better spent somewhere else.

loved my pasta. lost a point cause the blonde Italian guy at the counter needs a new attitude.

I ordered gnocchi with Napoli sauce. Gnocchi was chewy and not enough sauce. Only positive is a nice enough glass of rosé, and a generous grating of cheese. Serves me right for ordering pasta from a food court but this is Melbourne - we can do better!

Good pizza for the price, but the cashier was also the one who cut the pizza at the end and I could see her handling my food without having washed her hands or wearing gloves or anything, right after handling money and using her phone. Pretty gross.

Bar Napoli is located in the level 3 food court of Emporium shopping centre in the Melbourne CBD. It is a cute little Italian restaurant/fast food outlet with a bar attached to it as well. I love the wooden spoons hanging from the ceiling. This is my go to for a quick Italian meal.
I have eaten here a few times and tried both the pizza and pasta. I love the pizza as it is thin crust with a generous amount of topping. My favourite pizza is the prosciutto. The pasta tastes homemade to me and the sauces flavoursome. I love that with every sauce I can choose what pasta I want. All the dishes come served with fresh grated parmesan, my favourite.
As mentioned I have been here a few times and what I think lets this place down is the customer service. It feels like it is the typical arrogant European customer service. I think it would be nice if they smiled and seemed happy to be working there and serving us.
I do believe for semi fast food Italian Bar Napoli is worth the visit due to the delicious food.

Super disappointed with the pasta I ordered!
I went with the garlic, olive oil and chili pasta... Unfortunately it was dry and tasteless, and the pasta had the texture of being cooked, dried, and then cooked again.
What makes it worse for me is that this is a place that specializes in pasta dishes, I wouldn't even expect this from a meat and potatoes kind of place....
Lesson learnt, don't go to the place with no customers, even if the pictures on the board look good.

Margherita 🍕 here tastes good, well priced too.

Bar Napoli ? I don’t think so. If you ever served pizza ananas (pineapple) in Naples the home of pizza you’d be closed in a week and sustain injuries lol. Probably time to change your name

Bar Napoli is located in the modern and enticing food court on the top floor of the Emporium complex. They offer those thin and tasty Italian pizzas that you would find in the latest Pizzerias, for a fraction of the price. There is also an extensive pasta menu which have authentic toppings that Nonna would make such as butter and cheese. There are a couple of minor things here and there that they could brush up on but overall Bar Napoli know what they are doing.
Excellent value for money. Really nice pizza and pasta at food court prices. Would definitely return, this place is a lot better than the usual standard of pizza and pasta you find in a food court. Hopefully they become a franchise and open in more locations!

disgustingly rude customer service when i asked to remove certain items from my order the employees rolled their eyes at me and their tone was very hostile towards me and this has happened more than once!!! The staff do not acknowledge you at all and their portion sizes of pasta is not enough it doesn't even fill the plate half way never go to this place again and I 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

We decided to eat at the food court as it was easier to cater for my picky workmates. One of them mentioned that Bar Napoli did a decent pizza, him being half Italian I thought that it couldn't be half bad.

When my pizza di parma arrived it was more of an oval shape, topped with mozzarella (don't remember tasting it), prosciutto, rocket and parmesan (I added some chilli flakes at the counter). The cutting of the pizza was horrid, I could not tell where it started and finished and ended up tearing parts off it. I'd admit the first few bites were pretty good, crisp and the ingredients used weren't half bad. As I made my way to the centre however it was just a sloppy mess and the base was very soggy.

For $15 it is cheap for "premium" pizza but really you get what you pay for.

don’t know why this place has a low rating as i really enjoyed the pizza. the hawaiian was so good! i also tried the meat lovers which was pretty good, and i usually don’t order meat lovers. only fault(?) was the toppings were uneven on the pizza, so sometimes i’d get no pineapple or lots of ham. other than that it was great!

My wife loves pizza and we were on a holiday in Melbourne and found this amazing pizza place in the mall

Great fresh pizza and ingredients and great place if you want to have pizza in the mall

Worth the visit if your in emporium mall Melbourne
Decent Feed
I ordered the Pollo e Funghi and found it to be rather disappointing. Portion was just enough, however by the time I got to the bottom of the bowl, the pasta was swimming in oil, and couldn’t be eaten at all. Considering they weren’t too busy, waiting time for the food also took quite some time.
🍴
pizza here is divine!! so cheap and absolutely delicious, i ordered the fiore di latte while my friend ordered the margherita with mozzarella cheese, tried both and they were of great quality, perfectly wood fired italian pizzas 🙌🏼 would recommend to anyone stopping by the emporium 100%

Rating 3.5

We both ordered pasta, and loved it. Big hearty bowls filled with al dente pasta and flavourful sauce. A great food court find for when you need to carb load!
Will try the pizzas next...

Gem in the food court. Amazing pizza and pasta is awesome. Pizzas are made before your eyes and the mushroom and cream sauce pasta is a homerum!

Extremely rude service! I was waiting to order at around 2:30pm standing all alone at the register. The guy serving was too busy sweeping the floor and then asked if I I needed anything with a quite condescending and judgemental attitude. Of course! I wanted to order ASAP with my kids waiting. Granted, I was wearing a beanie and wasn’t dressed in my business work attire but the customer service was terrible and rude. I was probably looking a bit flustered with two kids in my stroller and maybe a “guy” with a beanie looking flustered was on the low scale of society and did not warrant a proper respectable customer service. I don’t know...
Custardbun
Pizzas are great, and just the perfect size! I've had the margherita and the hawaiano - I've been meaning to try other things on the menu, but can't seem to be enticed away from these 2 pizzas! Speedy service, and a great option to consider in the Emporium.

A simple exchange of words asking why they do not accept cards and only accept cash turned from accepting their response of “don’t know why and how long it will be down for” to absolute fury as i find out that I was lied to. And if anything, it is worse to find out that you have been lied to!

After asking and paying for my meal another customer (Italian) was served and he then proceeded to pay with the credit card pos machine below the counter. Now I find that racist and wonder if they do not want Asians/Aussies money.

What I find even more interesting is a conversation with the restaurant manager who suggested that it is not his call but was told to hide the machine after certain time. What does timing have got to do with using credit cards to make payment of services? I do not understand.

Anyway, because I get absolutely irate when service at a restaurant is terrible, this has led to the one star given to Bar Napoli tonight.
Continuing my life's work to eat in every restaurant in the emporium food court (not looking to spudbar) decided to try the Pizza here.

Verdict... pretty bloody good and fantastic value for $14! Freshly cooked from scratch in front of you... next level for food court pizza.

Try the meatlovers!

Just randomly chose this place to grab a quick dinner whilst at Emporium. We ordered the Mexicana, we liked the thin crust and the pizza sauce was yummmy, was hoping fr a spicy kick which was absent.
Groovy Smoothy
Got a sad plate of pasta on arrival. Dont get the napoli it is just tomato sauce and pasta. $13 for a small plate of pasta mixed with tomato sauce.

Pasta dishes are authentic but portion sizes are very very small for the price. $18 and you end up still hungry after. Me and my girlfriend (who is not a big eater) had to go somewhere else after. Pizza was almost under cooked. Quality is very variable. We’ve been there several times and there is no consistency in the quality of the food served.

Located in the level 3 food court of Emporium, Bar Napoli serves up authentic pasta and pizza dishes that will satisfy your italian cravings. In terms of food courts in the CBD. the Emporium food court is probably one of the best in Melbourne. No typical fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, KFC, etc, they have takeaway joints which are on par with actual restaurants with different types of cuisines
Ruby M
I've only tried the pizza here, but on the 3 occasions that I've been, Bar Napoli has been fantastic. The crust is what makes it a standout for me- it's the best I've had without paying big bucks for other joints that sell woodfire pizza.

Prices are very reasonable. They only have one pizza size, but it's enough for a meal. They give you buzzy things so you can wander around and pick up a dessert/drink until your pizza is ready.

Excited to branch out into the pastas the next time I'm in the mood for Italian !

If you need a break but want authentic Italian pizza you must try it !!! Very good pizza and friendly staff.. good ingredients.. and 100% Italians style 👍👍👍

Bar Napoli always does best Italian dishes in the city.Food is just amazing. Cakes looks so yummy, can't wait to b back to try another one!!!
Guy on the front is so hot!
The Gastronaut
My expectations with this restaurant was a bit high, I guess. I have tried the pizza and pasta options, and was honestly expecting to have more flavor in them. The portions are good though, and the staff are friendly. Thats a definite plus.
Ilovefoodsomuch
Decent food court food in Emporium. Had the Cabonara and Napoli. The Cabonara was better out of the two. But food cafe out slow took over 20min which is a huge chunk of someone's lunch break

Not gonna lie I hit this place up once in a while when I am craving super salty pizza! It's really salty here, maybe it's a style but damn the salt levels are just insane. It's like olives, anchovies, pink rock salt without any of those all up in ma mouth. Anyway it's aight.

Will say this the one time I went recently it was a little burnt, but I was kinda craving charcoal! Worked out well in the end.

I requested a dish without cheese, it came with cheese underneath. I'm lactose intolerant. When I tried to call, my call was ignored. Not impressed and way overpriced.

What an intriguing little find this venue is - wasn't expecting this as I was wandering through Emporium!! At first impression, I was taken aback by the size of the restaurant, which seems to extend further around the back. Customer service was good - very friendly and cheery, willing to provide service and listen to what was ordered. First impressions were great.

Customer wait time for the meal was also great - pizza was delivered quite quickly, and was of terrific quality and quantity with fresh ingredients. I've noticed some previous reviews of soggy pizza bases being mentioned, but this is bound to occur when you have a lot of toppings present on pizza with a thin base - certainly happened this evening, this occurs with good traditional pizza, enjoy it!! The pizza base is a thin, traditional base - if you prefer a thicker base, I don't think an outlet such as this will serve it - you'll need to look at Pizza Hut or Domino's.

Accompanying beverage was served cold, contrary to previous reviews noted. No complaints here. :)

Overall, a terrific experience, the only thing I would note is that the ambience is not terrific being a food court with flashing lights from a large television screen over the restaurant - not good for people who can't tolerate such lighting. Don't expect silver service. ;) Otherwise, enjoy your meal!! :)

Fabulous quick feed and well priced. Had the pappardelle pesto and added bits of chicken for extra $3. Pasta cooked perfect and tremendous flavours in the pesto all finished off with a good amount of Parmesan. Good size will be back.
Anu Kailash
Had a really good Quattro Fromaggi Gnocchi, Veg Pizza and Panini. Cannot falter the place and the service was good & quick. Must visit if you are Emporium in Melbourne CBD.

Ok I really now know why this place got bad reviews pizza taste like soggy bread with left over tomatoes sauce chinotto drinks are room temperature well it's supposed to be cold right , not to mention this guy behind counter boy he's got bad facial expressions come on I'm not asking to eat I pay for it but he's attitude isn't welcoming I won't be back nor even walk pass this place again good days to people who come pass by.
Quality! It Shouldnt Be That Hard! Love A Wonderful Mouth Full Of Wholesome FOOD!
So had have a sweet friend here in Melbourne who took me here, I just saw for a food court pizza this place rocks, traditional Italian pizza.

I had the vegetarian it was really nice the only thing I was a little upset with was the base with the toppings was soft. I ile my pizza base crunchy, I picking it up and it just flopped. Next time I'll request for it to be crunchy lol!

Other then that the pizza was pretty good would recommend it!
A
the employees here are so nice!! they're so friendly and seem so eunthastic about work which is nice to see. i tried the spaghetti bolognese and it was alright. i don't know if there was a station where you could put more salt or pepper? it was still a pretty good pasta though for a reasonable price. will be back!
Tran
Thought i'd try out this joint in emporium cause why not.. it looked okay and i was hangry so i was in a rush to eat.
Menu was a bit pricey but i thought it would be worth...
The pizza came out... i was left staring at a pizza that wasnt even sliced. Toppings was a bit stingy and too salty in my opinion. I usually eat everything when im hungry but this was seriously a struggle since the pizza was soggy and chewy.
Split The Bill
They don't make pizza that you can eat in your hands. The base was so thin and soggy you need a knife and fork. Pizzas are made to order, too salty for my liking but are cooked quickly.
Piero Damiani
The food in this place is absolutely SHOCKING. Went today again to give it another try after their stuff up last time and once again the pasta had NO SALT whatsoever and it was lukewarm, not to mention that they only fill the bowl half way despite the fact that you pay $14 for it!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Lacey Ann
Rude service, doesn't listen then says "eh?" And I have to repeat myself. Charged for chicken in pasta could barely see it. Couldn't taste pine nuts. Total rip off. Never again!
Nischal Sharma
Located in the food court of Emporio mall - its location is okay - if not great.

Having eaten at this place before, I would say that two sides of this joint are Pizza - extremely satisfying and Pasta which leaves a lot to be desired.

Ortolana Pizza was a Napoli style pizza and could easily pass for its authenticity - However for 14$ a pop, its a bit steep for a food court pizza.Pasta has not been nearly as good and despite of their tall claims, it lacks something as basic as salt. It was not good and should be avoided.
Tardar Sauce
Ordered the $13 pesto penne. It was served lukewarm, the lady behind the counter wasn't friendly, doesn't know how to smile and even have a personality. Overpriced for what I got. I ate it because I was hungry. However at that price I won't be returning. Also what's with the staff in the kitchen acting like 12yr olds. They sounded very immature.
Kaya Soydas
Pizza so soggy the base literally fell apart as I tried to get it in my mouth. Wouldn't eat here again. Knives so blunt they couldn't even cut through salami.
Eatingaroundmelbourne
Smallest portions ever. Sauce from a jar? Tasteless. Non existent customer service. Big fail. Really why the staff so rude and not caring about repeat business?? Agree with review Munching All Day Long.
Munching All Day Long
Horrible customer service!! I was served by an extremely rude guy who thinks he's so good!! Anyway I was expecting good pasta since they are not pre made. I ordered a carbonara with pappardelle pasta and it has no sauce and was tasteless. The portion is tiny which is so not worth the money. I would not recommend anyone to go there!!
Gee
This is where I come when I crave for a delicious and tasty yet basic margherita. The buffalo mozzarella is what makes it. Could eat a couple of them though.
Aki
I had a rush dinner with some friends after a long day at this eatery in the foodcourt. We ordered a Hawaiiano Pizza. It tasted alright though. The portion is not too bad given that the whole pizza costed 13 bucks, but the curst is too thin and soft, when we tear the pizza apart, the ingredients were falling apart and everywhere too. That's a bit disappointing..
Henry
Small serving sizes, extremely overpriced, bad quality and flavourless food. Very rude staff to top it off. What a horrible experience! Would not recommend.
Rainbow
I come here a lot, the first few times, the carbonara pasta was AMAZING! It was flavourful with just the right about of richness ... However, every time after that, it has been bland, the sauce seems SEPARATED from the pasta and the only flavour is from the shreds of meat (small amount). The man and woman who takes your order looks pissed as if you owe them money. I've ordered from this place MANY times always hoping I'll get that occasionally good dish, but it's the last straw. Awful, awful food.
Spice Queen
Friend ordered their gnocchi carbonara. Served by grumpy looking ppl. Carbonara serving was rather small in comparison to its price. Over priced food, curdled carbonara sauce and burnt tasting pork pieces. Gnocchi pasta itself was disappointing aswell. Will never come here again.
FFFS Thoughts
Absolutely horrendous food. I initially thought my pizza was bad, but I tried my friend's and figured out that poor tasting food was rampant at this so called pizzeria. On top of that, the horrendous customer service was a huge turn off. They were aggressive and had absolutely no pleasantness. The only positive, if I can say that much, was the prices were somewhat reasonable.
P.t.p.
i am a frequent customer and creature of habit always ordering the spaghetti bolognese because I can't resist it, the quality and servings are always good and it would have to be the best value for money anywhere. My only criticism would be that there is no option of a nice crusty Italian bread which I would gladly pay extra for.
P.S. the pizzas look fantastic
Dezzy
Located in the Emporium food court, it's easy to assume this place is just going to be normal food court shitty pizza, but it's far from. I expected a big slice for my $13 but actually received a large oblong of Margherity-goodness. Was very very happy. It was quick and cooked to perfection. Very generous with the sauce and mozzarella on a thin base. Great food considering it probably doesn't have to be (given it's in a food court and people don't typically have high expectations of quality in a shopping centre foodcourt). Amazing, delicious. Going back tomorrow for sure! Very authentic!
11/Mar/2015
- Back again for one of my favourite ‘original’ Carbonara here at emporium. Order placed quickly with a friendly person behind the bench. The wait time was a little longer this time as the food court was very busy on this day. When my buzzer finally went off and I collected my meal I was disappointed as it looked as if it had been sitting there on the bench for five minutes or so. The pappardelle were mostly stuck together and whilst the flavours were there, the pasta was terrible. In hind sight I should have returned it and complained about the poor quality. Disappointing as the pasta here has always been great here for me, now I’m left wondering if it’s worth returning in the future.

Dec/2015 - Popped into Bar Napoli at the Emporium on a very busy Friday for a quick lunch with some colleagues. They've got a smallish menu consisting of pizza and pasta basics with enough variations to suit most people. The pizzas look great and have that rustic look, whilst the pasta variations come with you choice of spaghetti, pappardelle or gnocchi. I selected the Real Carbonara dish with pappardelle (no cream used) and it was great, great flavours with the Guanciale rather than ham, cracked pepper and fresh Parmesan cheese; it was one of the best that I've had in a very long time with a good serving size and well cooked pasta and very good presentation. The guy at the counter is friendly enough but could be a little more interactive with customers whilst wearing with a smile; he came across a little reserved whilst dealing with customers placing orders, but apart from that, keep up the good work guys as you've got great food!

Located in Melbourne Central,Bar Napoli is a very good place to dine at.I had the home made tortellini for lunch today and it was beyond amazing .The flavors and the seasoning literally took me back to Italy .It's very reasonably priced and the proportions are just. The staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere as a whole is very warm and welcoming .

I would recommend Bar Napoli to anyone who wants to try out reasonable mainstream Italian food in CBD
:)

My son loves the tortellini pasta here Always fresh and lovely Quick and friendly service awe had an issue with our order but it sorted out straight away and with a smile When we go to the city we always pop in The pizzas are a good size and beautiful Great prices also
The real deal. Light on toppings how real pizza should be. If you are used to crust or dominos or your average suburban pizza joint stay away from BN as you'll be disappointed, you won't find the pizza and pastas here loaded with bulk for the sake of it. These are measured dishes made by dinky dye Italians. At $12/13 for pizza with traditional Naples style Caputo flour & San Marzano tomato as the base, they are the cheapest real pizzas in Melbourne.
Elizabeth Duong
Spaghetti bolognese was average, wasn't very much meat and the sauce was a bit watery. The pizza was very big for $12, however we were a bit disappointed with the amount of topping, we weren't very full afterwards... However the lady who served us was a delight and saved Bar Napoli from receiving a 2.0 rating.
Foodies.and.Coe
I didn't expect much but this was a very nice pizza. A little stingy on some of the toppings, but price was good. I enjoyed the tomato base and the thin crust.
Katherine Chiu
Bar Napoli is in the food court of Emporium and it is really popular with the locals for their pizza and pasta. I tried to pay with Paypal but it would not work on their side. My server said that they had quit the paypal system due to customer complaints. Well they could have least put a sign up saying that.
Lisa
Thoroughly enjoyed the pizza here. Wait was a little long but the outcome wasn't too bad. Pasta here was also quite enjoyable & presentation was nice.
Frank
I frequently come here on my lunch break and I have always been content with my food. Service is quick and the food is amongst some of the best I've had. Fantastic value and good serving sizes, I highly recommend.
Lela Pilakis
Ok what's the difference I just ate the pizza nice and thin with a crusty lip and real ingredience guess what the cook is experienced I paid $12 bucks for the plate size as good as I've eaten anywhere clee
Steven Gambrellis
What can I say, I have had pizzas everywhere.
None beat Bar Napoli. Authentic and full of flavor.
Better than D.O.C, 400 Gradi, Ladro & Mr Wolf.

I recently ate at Bar Napoli as I live close by. The staff who served me (I believe she was Latin American) were polite, courteous and even somewhat charismatic. The first time, I ate the fantastic tortellini, made by some young Italian kid who was trying his heart out; kudos to you sir, the dish is fantastic! I've also had the beautiful friarelli, cooked again by the Italian kid with longer hair (I believe?). Each time the food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. I believe bar Napoli really encompasses the Italian cuisine, at fantastic prices and timely-served. I commend your team on their efforts!

Didn't expect much from Bar Napoli being in a good court, and was right.

Ordered home made tortellini. Bland, tasteless, dry.. Couldn't finish was just too terrible. Nothing home made about it at all

Lack of standard and rude cook. I have been there twice, and that's enough to realise that this place is being managed by unprofessional staff who have no sense of what good customer service is. They are outwardly and unabashedly rude.

I recently went to order what I think is their best dish, their carbonara, and the cook recognised me and yelled out without realising I could hear him, 'f*ck! not carbonara, carbonara again!' He evidently hates his job and it shows in his attitude!

This guy need to realise that their business can only go forward if they have loyal customers (who cannot be retained by rude staff) and now they have just lost one.

Better for them to concentrate on their cooking and make their food more consistent!
Louieincretolli
Real Italian food. Bar Napoli is one of the best Italian food I've eaten since I visited Italy.
Miss.charlotte.lyon
The makings of a great business let down by customer service. I have been here twice...The fit out is beautiful, interesting & modern with an Italian twist.
The ingredients used are high quality and I love the freshly made pasta and pizza dough.
Due to this the wait time is upwards of 15 minutes even when quiet.
The portion sizes of the meals vary, a pizza is more than enough for one. However the pasta is more of an entree size and left me hungry.
This has the makings of a great business but is truly let down by the guys who work here. Not so much as a smile when dealing with customers, the customer is treated like an inconvenience, implided by the broody nonchalance with which I am spoken to.
Perhaps when Bar Napoli learn that customers are what make the business go round, they'll channge their ways for the better.
Lulu T. Legrand
I decided to feed my craving belly with a carbonara. The dish I got was almost perfect. The pasta was cooked al dente, with the right amount of "bacon" and the egg mix perfectly balanced. The spaghetti rolled perfectly in my fork, the Italian way, and tasted great. Perhaps a bit of more salt and pepper would have done it for me, but beyond that, was an excellent carbonara, especially taking into account that this is a food hall, not a proper restaurant. Kudos to the chef and cooks..YET something I perfectly prepare at home...

I agree with other reviewers about the service. The guy at the counter was unwelcoming and hieratic, not keen on being friendly or nice or smiling, just like a machine behind the cash machine. Not the Italian way, capisce? SERVICE IS EVERYTHING, If you disrespect customers or treat them like crap, you should not be in hospitality. Service was crap not just with me. Period.

THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN TROLLED by people I suspect are workers in this restaurant, People who don't review, don't photograph or say anything of interest on anything. That is impossible because these people don't know how to. People whose only talent is coming to abuse and provoke. Well, done, now you have a fair rating of the cafe.
Chris.chew
Avoid at all costs. Absolutely atrocious food. Dishes lack flavour and presentation. Utterly terrible all round.
Food121
Yum yum. Pizza is really tasty for that price. Their pasta is delicious and generous amount. Staff are very friendly. Love it. Will keep going back for more
Liz
I asked for Real Carbonara but it was just a bowl of spagetti in butter. One tiny piece of bacon, no onion, no egg. Very disappointing.
Vivacious Lady
Had the gnocchi carbonara and it was amazing. Portion size just right and the gnocchi just melted in the mouth. This is what pasta should be like.
Jakehton09
Pizza. Came here 1 month ago and pizza was amazing, chef was awsome. Came back tonight and pizza was awfull, didnt even finish it, it was that bad. Service was awfull!
Thompsonsandy970
The best pizza and pasta. We had lunch there and we tried pasta special and friarielli pizza, both so delicious, I highly recommend this food court, check it out!!
Roberto Malice Malizia
Pasta and pizza amazing. I have been in Melbourne for few years, and honestly are not so many the places where you can have the pleasure to taste the real Italian cousin....bar Napoli is a big example of it... Amazing pizza and pasta for such a cheap price....I enjoy eating in this place few times a week and every time is very good... Only suggest is that I would love to see an Italian uniform for all the staff, except for the chef coz he already looks very professional and sharp...:
HospoHead
Probably one of the quietest places in the food court and I had a serious craving for pasta. The girl on the counter clearly made up for her lack of work load with her terrible attitude. If you're that quiet, your customer service would want to be spectacular. Ordered the 'real carbonara'. These boys in the kitchen would want to learn the term 'seasoning' a bit better. After eating the bland dish I sat back and marvelled at how 6 staff can stand around that long doing nothing, and still have such a bad attitude.
Siriwadhna
Real carbonara is real. The spaghetti alla carbonara I had would be rated as an average in Italy. But it is the best I can find in Melbourne's CBD. That's because of its authenticity by making it creamy without cream, half-cooked egg yolk, use guanciale, and porcorino etc. The taste was slightly bland, but can be easily fixed with extra salt and pepper. I will come back for Pizza next time.
Kevin Wong
Pizza looks nice and tastes nice. But the pizza WAS burnt on bottom. Would have been nice if NOT for the obviously burnt pizza. Not sure will come back.
Sarah
I come here almost every week on my lunch break, and I'm always satisfied with my meal and the service! The pizzas are to die for, real and traditional, with minimal so you can actually taste what you're eating. The bolognese is delicious too!
Angie
Service is nice and quick pizza is yummy and fresh but abit tight on the toppings
Malou Lou
Best pizza in Australia. Fresh ingredients and tastes like a traditional pizza
Lidia.julianna
Carbonara came out as a bacon & egg omelette. I have no idea how anyone would like this dish. My carbonara came out as rich salty fried bacon bits & scrambled eggs mixed with pappardelle. Such strong flavours and wrong texture. It is a complete failure. Waste of 12 bux - never coming close to this place again :/
This should not be called carbonara! It is a weird breakfast recipe. Ergh!

Absolute crap.. Ordered the 'real' carbonara and it's fair to say even La Porchetta could make a tastier dish even if it wasn't authentic. Pasta was under complimented from the sheer lack of sauce and the whole dish tasted bland. I've had better from even a simple Italian food court store compared to this so called 'Cafe court'.

The kids wanted spaghetti and pizza so we ordered from Bar Napoli which has opened up in the same area, and the chef there cooks to order. The Spaghetti Bolognaise ($12) was very pleasant. Hubby felt it could probably do with a little bit more salt but the kids didn't mind and gobbled it all up, loving the generous amount of cheese on top.
