Not your average Chinese.. two chefs from Wuhan & Chengdu combine to put out some great tasting dishes. Yabby meat with noodles, squid with chilli, Chinese broccoli with cured ham, and even the noodles were so good.
I’d heard this place was the top take out for home delivery and I don’t doubt it seeing so many couriers picking up.
Definitely a place to go, wide range of dishes, spicy or not, generous serving, well priced and staff were great.
I could eat here every week..
We ordered 3 dishes and 1 dessert for 3 people to eat. All of them are delicious and we enjoyed them. However, the only thing we don’t really like is they did not accept pay by card, which a little bit disappointed.
It is a traditional restaurant for China WuHAN. I been the other place many years ago just try this one city. Very large size dishes cost reasonable also yummy. Recommend guys go for try.
The brown sugar cake is like a chewy mochi drizzled in nut like crumbs and when drizzled in the brown sugar syrup- really delicious.
The duck fried rice is nice too, although a bit too oily and a lot of duck skin instead of meat - however overall the dish tasted great.
The brown sugar buns we're unique too. It was like a hot cross bun, a bit sweet, soft and some dry longan bits.
The worse dish is the century egg pork congee. It was so watery it was like drinking soup.
My friends and I have a great experience here. There are few tables accommodating around 8 people. It is a great place to gather some friends together to try different dishes. The food are all delicious, especially Peking duck. The food are all with big proportions, so we haven’t finished all. Great service, fantastic food. Will be there again
This Chinese restaurant is said to be of Wuhan influenced. Spacious restaurant, good servings and average service. Ordered the spicy fish with sour preserved vegetable, recommended by a friend. It came in such a big bowl with good amount of fish in it. This dish has good flavor, there were peppercorns and glass noodles in it. Next we ordered deep fried soft shelled crab with salty duck egg yolk. This was good too, not too oily but could be crispier. Stir fried pork kidney and mongolian beef were equally enjoyable. We finished off with pumpkin cake as dessert and they were surprisingly good. I must warn you to bring cash when you visit because they accept cash only.
Food is very delicious. It is one of the delicious Chinese Restaurants. Service is a bit slow (especially Home delivery) Staffs are friendly and helpful. If the restaurant is well designed or well decorated, it can be a busy place because at the moment, the atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit plain. But I love food here!! Very yummy !!!
Service here is beyond expectation. And the dishes are really fast, but kind of salty and oily. By the way, this restaurant can provide delivery service as well.
Cliffs of deliciousness. Red Cliffs is a relatively new addition to Queen St, arriving about a year ago. It's not very busy at lunch so you're guaranteed to find a spot, including for groups.
Six of us hankered for dumplings and we landed here with no booking on a weekday - space no problem. The lunch menu is shorter and more limited than dinner, but it helped to narrow the choices. With three vegetarians, we settled on spring onion pancakes x 2, spinach and mushroom dumplings × 3, and 3 x prawn and chicken dumplings, with a special request that they be steamed. This was happily done and they were delicious but...it took ages.
It eventually became apparent that the dumplings were being hand made as we waited. Stunning, hand folded delights with amazing flavours - it takes time to whip them up fresh from scratch. So not great if you're hungry but a real commitment to quality. And it shows in the incredible flavours.
Service is well-meaning albeit a bit whimsical. Bill before tip for mountains of marvellous made-to-order morsels was $89 before tip - as brilliant as the food.
A Chinese restaurant serving up all the usual dishes, but prices are a bit cheaper than others in the CBD. Service isn't that great, but food quality was not bad. Their crayfish were done very well. Sliced Cucumber, Spring Onion and Special Duck Sauce . Homemade Pancake. Peking Duck (16 pieces of Pancake) $48.80
