Honest owners and great traditional food. Felt like real thai food from thailand! Happy to support small businesses.

Cute little restaurant, with great Thai food!

Disappointing - ordered beef noodles, and they came without any beef. Just beef liver, pork gristle and slices of processed meat. I was excited that they offered sai grok isarn because it's not common here, but it was bland and undercooked, with big inedible pieces of fat. Left hungry for lunch elsewhere.

Great authentic and good value Thai food. A real gem for a quick tasty lunch

Went here for dinner and was very pleased. Server was friendly and the food came out quickly, quite tasty too.

Pork was inedible and like cardboard, deep-fried pork not work well. Rest of the dish was ok too salty

This place has all your Thai favourites! You will find authentic dishes such as som tum, it's delicious and they're not afraid of a little heat! I have been here a few times for lunch. You go up order and pay at the counter. The service is fairly quick. I recommend the Thai boat noodles as it's hard to find at your usual thai restaurant! I had the pork noodles, it's packed with flavour and you can also choose your own noodles!

One of my favourite Thai restaurant in Melbourne. Everything that I had tried here, they were all tasty.
Great food, good service and reasonable price.
Please check out photos!!!

This cosy warm place severs quick Thai foods. I have come this place for few times. The price is very good in CBD, but no waiting to get the table.
I ordered Fried noodles such as Pad Thai and Pad Siew. Both of them are tasty, Pad Thai with stronger tastes of fish sauce, it would be good choice when I'm not in good appetite.
staff said Penang Curry is spicier than green Curry. I think is still ok, not too spicy to let me uncomfortable.
That is best place for quick lunch.

Hmmmmm food not bad too much msg thou
Prices and costs r to high portion of dishes r to small and staff seem a bit dazed .owners in Thailand should be focused on CBD costs and impressions then traveling

Positive foods SDN BHD ate there just NOW .

Serve 3
Service 4
Shop 2
Meal 2
P.s. Look into dish sizes
And costs

I ordered a Pad See Ew (I asked to make it vegan so no eggs, no fish sauce etc) - in terms of taste, it was good, but it was a tad too salty and way way too oily :/

Lunch time only $11.50, New menu has launched. Food is Authentic and delicious. Try Pad thai, Green curry fried rice, tom yum fried rice, Panang curry, all is the best.
The Dear Luncher
The beef salad here was a little on the small side, but it packed a punch with the flavours and spice. For $10 it's a reasonable offering. This humble little eatery looks to have it's share of loyal patrons from the King & Lonsdale Street workplaces. Their curries appear to be the speciality and The Dear Luncher will return to sample one of those in due course.

Food and Service: Good collection of old faithful and some new dishes on the menu. Food what you get is what you pay for. Staff is polite and help you pick better. Time for food to be served is based on the rush.
Look and feel: It a decently spaced joint on Kings with limited seating. Some colorful paintings on the wall and the kitchen in front, will keep you occupied while eating in case you forget you mobile home(highly unlikely)
One of the best thai food, you must try. My friends and i went there last week. I recommend Chu Chee deep fried Barramundi fish, Pad Prig Gang Moo Grob and Glass noodle salad so delicious and the taste is very authentic. Also, it's great service and the price is quite cheap and reasonable. I will come back again for sure.

Mouth watering thai food in a small intimate resturant on King St. The home made curry puffs were the BEST I have ever had, small flavour bursting parcels that leave you wanting more. The fresh, cooked to order meals were delicious, the only downfall was that they were so freshly prepared the meals were served slightly apart.

I love this place. I used to live in Thailand and the food is very authentic, the taste will really take you there! As I recently started working nearby, it was an obvious choice for me to try this place and I'm so glad I did. It's my favourite lunch spot now. Their curries are creamy perfection and the roti is absolutely gorgeous! You can choose the spice level and type of meat for your dishes.

As well as great food, the service is very friendly and attentive.

The only problem is deciding what to eat, so I will work my way slowly through the menu!

Decided to stop by this restaurant to fix my craving for Thai food. Had myself a Tom yum noodles and coconut juice. The food was surprisingly delicious and authentic, staff were friendly. Will definitely be back for more :)

I had a Ka-na with crispy pork here today. It was really good. It tastes like the same menu I had in Thailand. The porks were really crisply. I love it :)

Very authentic Thai cooking! A cosy and welcoming little place and prices are all reasonable with generous portions. It's a new establishment recently taken over from Tom Toon 3 (unfortunately I never had a chance to go before it closed down) and a small family-run business. This review is solely based on one dish so it may not be applicable to all their dishes. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao which is stir fried flat rice noodles with chilli, basil, baby corns and your own choice of either chicken/pork/beef/veg/prawn. When the waitress (or maybe the owner?) asked how spicy I wanted it to be I said medium and she said their cooking is the same spice level as they do in Thailand and wanted to confirm if I really wanted that, I was like yeah sure I'd love that! It's hard to find Thai restaurants here that do not dumb down on their spiciness. It came quickly and it tasted exactly like what I was told, and there was also plenty of wok air in it. The spiciness still lingered in my mouth until quite a while later! A great find and I'll certainly be back for more.

The best Thai food you will ever get in Melbourne. Their Chicken Wings had me at their crispy brown skin with their amazing Glass Noodle Salad sent me to Thailand. Such great service and I always have a good laugh with them. Great husband and wife business that keeps me coming back for more. I come here at least once a week to get my Thai food fix on, I would highly recommend if you need authentic Thai food! This is the spot to be!

Tom Yum noodle soup - it's delish! Takes me back to Thailand, so if you're looking for authentic, flavourful food, this is the place! Med spicy (if you like it hot). Ps the owners are new, (taken over mgmt from the last owners).. And they're really lovely and cater to our food requirements - where possible. ☺️

Great Thai restaurant at King st. I went there with my friend on last Friday. We ordered green curry, massaman curry and chicken cashew-nut, it was very delicious especially curries so creamy and tasty. We will go back again for sure and i would recommend to try this place.

* Update June 2016: returned to try their prawn pad thai and it was delicious. I asked for minimal oil and it was great. Not greasy at all. The dried chilli is HOT - taste before you add! My mouth was on fire. A great little place.

New Thai cafe replacing Tom Toon 3, also a Thai cafe. Clean inside and you can see straight into the compact kitchen. A variety of Thai classic dishes cooked to order around the $11 mark. My pad see ew was well flavoured but 1 point deducted for too much oil. Open until 9pm so great for a quick casual lunch or dinner.
