The staff are very friendly and this is a family orientated environment that has something for everybody. The food is authentic and actually it took me a very long time to find Indian food like this. You will certainly enjoy the aforementioned as well as the staff and their ready recommendations.
Visited the Chilli India for dinner with group of friends. We were delighted with the Indian style course with spices and lots of flavour. For an Indian restaurant in Melbourne, the options for vegetarian food and general cuisine was quite impressive.
The staff is quite interactive and their warm greetings strikes a special bond with the place.
Have been to many other Indian restaurants, but Chilli India stands out for its authentic Indian taste. Would highly recommend this place and people to try Biryanis and chicken curries to authentic Indian food lovers.
Last Friday I been chilli India Docklands .. food was awesome and service also awesome but 65 was not good
A must try dishes.... biryani and podi chicken starter with a bluemoon beer is my favourite and I recommend to everyone.. this is a must try place
Chilli India serves decent Indian food. They serve great biryani which is worthy enough to satiate a serious Biryani craving! Their chicken chilli and chicken 65 is hot, spicy and flavourful. However, they need to include some Indo-Chinese rice or noodles options to go along with the Indo-Chinese gravies they have on offer.
This place serves the most amazing Chicken Biriyani and chilli chicken. This combination is a must try 😃 The biryani here is not like a pulao, the basmati rice is well defined and separated from each other, that is what it should for an authentic biryani. It’s so aromatic and flavourful, every bite is absolutely blissful. The chicken in the biryani is super tender and not bland at all,it has a flavour to it. The biryani here definitely on the spicier side,it’s the use of authentic Indian spices, mainly the garam masala which gives it a spicy kick, the whole spices really come through. I being from India am accustomed to tasting authentic biryanis, and this one here is hands down one of them! Chilli chicken - Here is SO good that we ordered another one right after we got done with the first one,the sauces in the chilli chicken are not over powering at all. It’s not oily at all,you really can’t see the oil floating on the plate, usually Indo-Chinese dishes are dripping in oil. It’s crispy and crunchy, the coating of the batter is just right. It’s not too much, where you can only taste the batter more than the chicken. The spices are just perfect,it’s spicy and flavourful, cooked to perfection with a nice blend of the sauces, sugar and spices. The sauce is a sensational mix of sweet, spice and everything nice ! Garnished with chopped onions and a wedge of lemon. Food here is fresh and delicious. Service is average and a little slow, could improve on that :)
Went there with friends, the service were quick and I ordered chicken biryani. The food tasted good with generous portions, will coming back to try different menu.
Chilli India is a popular Indian food restaurant in Australia (based on the crowd in the restaurant). The restaurant ambiance is much like a bar with all bottles on display and a classic look chairs tables arranged in a spacious way.
I could almost see all my favor Indian cuisine on the menu from Dosa, Biryani and my personal favorite Lassi too. I would suggest, Chicken Biryani from the menu.
Food Taste is Homely and the price looks reasonable in Australian Dollars.
If you love to Drink, you won't be disappointed too. I personally don't booze but, there are many offers running and you could easily find a company too in the restaurant.
For non-drinkers checkout Lassi 😍
I quite like this place , its decent and is not as expensive as one would expect and you get a decent quantity for the price ,the biryani is quite nice and I love the vegetarian options
A decent place to enjoy some good south Indian food. Have been here twice, first time had Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, it was decent in taste and quite good quantity for two people.
Second time we opted for dine-in Chicken Chettinad for starters and Nilgiri chicken for main course along with parathas.
Decent taste and good food.
