Tried this place recently for take away and will definitely give it another go. Peshwari naan was delicious and the curries were flavoursome and yummy! Glad to have found this place to add to my take away listings!
Was a bit unsure about ordering from this place, but thought I'd give them a go since my usual Indian place wasn't open yet for delivery. It arrived in about 30-40 mins, the delivery driver couldn't find my house but he called and I gave him directions. Food was good and still hot. I ordered a mild butter chicken, it was a bit sweeter than I like but the gravy was thick and you could still see the cream on top. Also ordered a prawn curry and it was super hot and spicy but enjoyable. A lot of chicken and prawns for the ratio of sauce so very happy. The veg samosa wasn't the best, the dough was too thick. Ordered gulab Jamuns and they were very nice. Wish I had got 2 because the kids faught over them. The free papadums was a nice touch!
Not sure about all the negative reviews, I thought it was awesome. Will return for sure. Although the delivery driver didn't have change. Food was great, nice spices, papadums could have been cooked more

YUM !!. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews for Amania..... I got take away from there tonight and it was delicious! I will definitely be going back. Ignore the bad reviews and go and try it for yourself :)

Great Indian food. My wife and myself had one of the best Indian food here. The spices were right and justbsuperb food.. Need to improve on speed though. Food arrived after 45 mins eventhough we were their only customer.. Whatever sad, the food is simply great..

I ate here valentines day. Was a little apprehensive as there was no one else in the restaurant when we arrived however the food was scrummy. My partners very particular about his Indian food and even he gave the thumbs up. I'd recommend the bhuna (not the chefs hot mind)
Great and authentic Indian food, a must-visit restaurant in Melbourne. We were a group of 7 people, ordered almost 15 dishes from their menu and almost all the items were tasty, not a mean feat for any restaurant. I will certainly go again.
Food was unbelievably good. Was a bit hesitant because we never, ever see anybody in the restaurant itself. They must do a roaring take away trade though because the meal itself was very, very good and at an extremely affordable price. Their Lamb Korma and Butter Chicken in particular were exceptional, as were the vegetable samosas and the naans. Well be going back again and again and again.
This was the best Indian meal I've had in a long time!!! Very authentic and high quality, absolutely delicious.
Highly recommend it! Great value also.

Amania has delicious Indian food at an affordable price. I have been going here for over 4 years now - originally the dine-in experience wasn't great (atmosphere etc), but they have had at least two revamps since. I generally get take away, but the staff are great and as already mentioned - the food delicious! (A friend of mine even drives from Ascot Vale to get this take-out!)
Recommendation: On a budget? Check out the dishes the come with free rice. Better value than the 'chef's specials' (but if you're not concerned about a couple of dollars then it's not an issue).
Staff were lovely and very friendly. The food came quickly and was delicious! Very aunthentic! We had the goat curry and garlic naan. Popadoms are complimentary with mint yoghurt 👌 Would highly recommend!
Very tasty and well priced Indian in the heart of Kensington. The restaurant may look a little Spartan but more than makes up for it with the warmth of the staff and the delicious food.
I used to order pretty much every weekend - either the prawn curry or the lamb curry. But the tandoori chicken was amazing. Highly recommended.
