Students listen up! Quick tasty lunch? No problem! Head over to this place! Hidden away at the back of QV food court, this gem is not to be missed!
Since 2016 when I first arrived in Melbourne for college, this has been my favourite go to place! Delicious rice bowls mostly under $10, a short walk from college (RMIT University) and the best thing a student can afford for lunch! Prices have gone up a bit since then but still reasonably cheap! 2 years later even though I am in University and not studying at the city campus anymore I occasionally drop by just to grab a rice bowl!
Dish: Teriyaki Chicken Don (Regular)
Food presentation: The colours are just fabulous! The onions, carrot and brocolli just makes the dish pop! Visually appetizing and hot steam just rushes out when you open up the lid! I wish they would use recyclable material for the takeaway bowl, that would be such a great step to take!
Food taste/ quality: I simply love the food here! The chicken is nicely marinated and cooked to perfection! It's soft, tender and juicy! Brocolli is a bit hard but it is not the star of the bowl so it doesn't fuss me too much. A generous serving of protein, veges and rice! I can never finish the rice because there's just so much! Not to mention this is just the regular sized bowl!
Tip: If you love spice ask when ordering for it to be made spicy!
Price: $8.90. Where else can you get a price like that these days?! Hands down worth it!
Ambience: It is just a food stall in QV food court so you can take your food and sit at any table in the food court. Busy during lunch hours and might be hard to find a spot.
Service: Usually a 5-10 minute wait which I find fair as peak hour can be very busy. On rare occasions the wait will be super long but this is usually not the case. Staff are friendly and will apologise/ update if your food is slow to be served.
This was and still is one of my favourite places as a student! Get on it people!
With love,

Healthy fusion is a great place for a quick lunch or takeaways. I find their dishes reasonably cheap compared to other similar restaurants / kiosks that serves the same dish, for example 2 of my fav's : Unagi Don and Gyu Tan Don.
The unagi Don here is only $12.90 whereas unagi Don at Menya Ramen is $13.90 - both have about the same taste and portions. For Gyu Tan Don, it's $12.90 and since I asked for an extra egg, it ended up costing $13.90 whereas Gyu Tan Don without egg itself at Menya ramen costs $17.50. Service wise, may not be the best but I had low expectations since the staff are generally friendly and efficient.
Highly recommend this cheap joint to everyone who just wants to grab a quick, cheap and tasty lunch or prompt takeaways!
My favorite lunch spot as cheap price and nice food . Staff are very polite and short waiting time ! My favorite meals are niku udon , spring rolls and kastu Don ! Might try new food later :)
