The Swine ventured to South Wharf today and stumbled across lunch at West Village NYC. The burger expedition continued with today's lunch - The Boewry burger. Not sure if the Swine should be surprised but this was awesome - Big, Beefy, Buldging and Juicy - with a quality crunchy bun. Great Buns!! Full marks to the American Chef who brought our meals out. Chatty and Friendly - it's a good thing right? The Swine loves characters! The place did appear a bit rough around the edges - maybe slightly dingey...but good food, drinks, ...and free pool saw the Swine Squad spend a few unplanned hours here. That is a great endorsement. Massive Potential. SWINE APPROVED!
The Southside burger - coarse ground beef and cooked medium rare. This creates a strong beef flavour without drying out the meat. Bloody good work.
A reasonable range of non mainstream beers is available at this centrally located bar. Also available is sangria on tap; a pleasant surprise. There is plenty of seating, plus out door seating for the smokers. To keep yourself occupied, there is a pool table and table tennis table. Worth a visit!
They have some cheap drinks and a happy hour. It Has a pool table and table tennis. I’ve always been treated nicely by the bar staff who aren’t pretentious. It’s a spacious and pretty chilled out bar. It seems like a good place to go to for after work drinks or after BBQ drinks etc. I’ve noticed they also give free pizza to their guests in the evening, maybe to keep them around so they don’t need to go and eat elsewhere, not sure.
This place has become a regular meeting place for work mates at the end of the working week and family before and after a game of footy.
The owner and bar stuff are always welcoming to regulars and those dropping in for the first time.
Good music, sports on TV, a good menu and cold beer. All the key ingredients for cool place to hang for a while.
Nice place, one the few playing good old rock songs.
Free pool and ping pong tables, great happy hour. Plus, you can smoke outside and there is a BBQ during Melbourne's Cup
