Visited this Malaysian noodles venue that's hidden right under the Fulton Lane apartment (right beside Pelicana Chicken). I've never heard of this place before so I was somewhat reluctant to go but I am glad I visited after trying their famous Pan Mee :) We ordered Lat Jiu Pan Mee ($13.5), Fried Pork Pan Mee ($12.9), Hot & Spicy Pan Mee ($13.9) - kinda reminded me of jjamppong!, and Herbal Chicken ($15.9). The waitress recommended Lat Jiu Pan Mee which was their best selling noodles dish. It came out with minced pork, poached egg, fried dried chilli, and dried anchovies. I paid an extra dollar to get wide noodles because I wanted to fully enjoy that chewy mouthful taste. Fried chilli mixed beautifully with poached egg york evenly coating the noodles. I especially loved how the creaminess from the egg york offsetted spiciness from chilli. Overall, it was addictingly delicious - I just couldn't stop eating (btw, white rice would've gone well together as well). In terms of taste, it was somewhat familiar in a good way. It actually reminded me of Nagoya style maze soba & Shin ramyun - both savoury and slightly nutty with a spicy kick. Although it tasted pretty damn good, I thought $13.5 was a bit too much - but then again, there aren't lots of venues serving *somewhat* authentic pan mees, so it's justifiable :)
Fast service, really traditional KL flavours of the meat sauce and the sambal with amazing noodles which you can choose the width of. Really hits that pan mee craving spot.
The chilli pan mee is as good as it gets. Similar to their KL outlets.
Skip the milk tea, was so bland. Fish cakes were really average too.
Would rate 4.5 stars.
Great noodle menu, with lots of different options to chop & change to preference (noodle width, dry/soup, protein topping, sauce).
Noodles tasted excellent, wide or hand torn worth the +$1.
Excellent roast pork.
Water is served in plastic disposable cups.
Quite a small restaurant with 1 table able to sit 8 if you are lucky to get it if you have a big group.
Jojo Little Kitchen has a taste of home and is a quiet, cozy eatery. Their signature dish is chilli pan mee ('lat jiu' pan mee) - a true Malaysian comfort dish - and they do it well above average.
I would highly recommend Jojo Little Kitchen to anyone who's looking for a taste of authentic Malaysian Chinese cuisine.
Love the wonton soup- the wonton is homemade, not frozen, the broth is not too salty. The $8 size fills me up. Will try other things on the menu soon. Great service; polite and helpful.
Authentic Malaysian pan mee. Must try their lat jiu pan mee. Love it
Very happy that I found some great noodles right off the bat in Melbourne! I heard great things about Jojo Little Kitchen, so had to head in for lunch.
I got the Lat Jiu Pan Mee and the Chinchau grass jelly drink. The Pan Mee was delicious! Perfect intersection of spice, salty, savoury, a little bit of sweet, and crunch from the anchovies. Noodles could have been a little less soft, but that's my only complaint. Would definitely be back!
Lat Jiu Pan Mee: 8.5/10
Chinchau: 7/10
I tried this restaurant because my friend recommended me. I ordered the traditional soup and my friend ordered Lat Jiu Paan Mee. I really love the seasoning they used they use some special sauce that makes the dish very delicious. the pork were minced and mixed with the sauce + the crispiness of the anchovies
For me, It’s always delicious and tasty whenever I dine in. Usually I ordered dry fried pork noodles but today I tried Jojo’s soup pork noodles, it’s also excellent.
There are things I really like such as soup is warm enough, 4 choices of noodles, you can add eggs on your noodles. Several choices of side dishes. And service is ok.
We came when there was no one there so we had great service. Had the fried noodles and it was really good the more I ate it. Really enjoyed the texture. Didn’t take a picture of the fried one unfortunately.
Their packaging for delivery is so neat. With clinged wrap package and the food tastes awesome. I really love the lat jiu panmee with perfectly cooked noodles, egg, and meat (pork and fish) !!
It is way more better if you dine in 😋. The soup base also tastes great. Rich broth and saltiness
The Lat Jiu Pan Mee was an absolute banger. Fresh noodles and the egg was cooked perfect. Didn’t enjoy the dumpling one as much but the Lat Jiu is worth coming back for anyday
