Fabulous filet, tender and cooked perfectly. Grilled shrimp appy is out of this world. Dave and Tina have knocked it out of the park!! Gotta love the lobster mac and cheese. Love love love and great wine cellar!
After reading the reviews about the rehearsal dinner fiasco, we ALMOST made the mistake of NOT choosing Amici's for our son and his fiancés rehearsal dinner. We live in Tennessee, our son lives in Indian Harbour, so planning an event of this importance from long distance was a great concern. We had a delicious dinner there one night and decided that it was the perfect venue. In February, we met with KiKi, one of the event managers, about our November rehearsal dinner and discussed our concerns about the bad reviews. All stories have two sides.
We established a date and reserved the "Chefs Table" room with a preliminary menu and number of guests. We checked in with KiKi throughout the months to verify numbers etc and ask questions. She returned our calls promptly, was great to deal with, and very patient with nervous parents.
We arrived in town two days before the event and checked in with Kiki about final details. The number of tables, how they were to be arranged, and I brought many extras for decoration; silver chargers for under the plates, table squares, votives etc.etc. Honestly I had expected a little grumbling, but they were very receptive to making the room even more special. My husband and I were there a couple hours before the event to help if needed and answer any questions our crew had about the tables setup. They were wonderful to work with and strived to make everything just the way I imagined it. The evening was perfect.
Our guests still rave about how fantastic the food, the service, and the ambiance were on our special evening.
We had many employees that were personally involved with our events success that I want to recognize for their outstanding job that evening. Jillian was our event liaison that night, our three superb chefs were Paul, Arthur, and Katie. Ashly, Chad, and Angie were our servers extraordinaire, thank you everyone for a job well done! As I said, it was perfect!
Dennis continuously monitored the room for issues and even Chef David Dashi and his wife Valentina, owners of Amici's, circulated through to see that everything was going smoothly.
We felt that our son's rehearsal dinner was as important to them as it was to us. We created a very special family memory and a beautiful celebration of our son and his wife's marriage.
Thank you, Amici's!!
Good food, loud environment. The specials were very good, but the environment is busy and in your face. Very busy and loud.
Real Italian. The best! You can't see the restaurant from the street, but it is almost always busy. It has a loyal local following and for good reason - the food is fantastic!
Very good Italian!! Similar to northeast style
This is not the most creative Italian restaurant in the world (or even in Florida), but it's reliably good. The fried zucchini appetizer is refreshingly light (no heavy batter), and several pastas have been excellent. I particularly like the truffle sachetti (little purses with a wonderful truffly filling). And once I had a similar dish, with peats and Gorgonzola inside, that was truly fantastic. Apparently an occasional special: don't miss it if they have it when you're there. Service generally very good and attentive (sometimes less perfect, but still adequate).
I like Amici a lot. The food is very good and consistent. The only negative was that there are sometimes very long waits. The Cesar salad is very good as is the chicken parmesan. Amici is also great for pizza takeout. I always enjoy Amici and will be returning!
Sicilian Pizza Take-out. Having had a great experience with their bakery previously, we decided to bring home a pie for our Friday Night Pizza Tradition.
We got the largest Sicilian cheese and an order of a dozen garlic knots. Not badly priced.
The pizza was delicious and a nice change from some of our usual haunts. It made for even better "breakfast" the next morning!
Garlic knots were packed in some oil and seasoning. They were light and fresh and the seasonings and oil were well balanced.
We are looking forward to eating in soon.
For The Love Of Tarts. Good food, good service, and spectacular desserts. The veal piccata and veal parmesan were good, but nothing to rave about. We had the almond raspberry and lemon raspberry tarts for dessert and they were spectacular. If for no other reason, go here to have a glass of wine and one of these tarts.
Eric was the best! He was very attentive, hospitable and even charmed my grandma. Would definitely recommend this spot and they have great homemade food. The bakery and wine cellar are great as well.
A friend recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is cozy and I enjoyed looking at the artwork on the walls. The hostess and our server was very friendly and attentive. We were told a 25 min wait but they sat us after only 5 mins. My table ordered manicotti with a side of sausage and chicken parm with fettuccine Alfredo. Both dishes were excellent!
When I want to dine out and splurge, Amici's is on the list. I always get the Shrimp Parmesan and add fettuccini alfredo as the side. The two together are so tasty. My complaints are that I guess there isn't hosting in the afternoons and I have to stand awkwardly waiting for someone to see me to be seated because of the wall by the host stand that blocks the view from everyone else working there (terrible design). Also, the fettuccini alfredo (even though I order it all the time) is very al dente to the point of uncooked sections of pasta sticking together. Also, the bread isn't that great and they ration it - I eat alone normally and they only give me a couple slices. That's chincy. But I like the servers, the pasta truffles are divine, and I do love the shrimp parm.
We opted for dinner at the bar. We enjoyed wine and Fresh Mozzarella and Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer. My date had Shrimp Scampi over Angel Hair Pasta and I got the 10 oz. Filet Mignon from The Chef's Table. Everything was absolutely wonderful. We topped off our meal w/ a Decedent Chocolate Cake for dessert. The service was top notch and the ambiance is always warm & homey.
We'll be joining them again real soon. If you've never been - Go - it's a Real Treat.
Stopped in for a late lunch with a friend and it was very enjoyable. The service was spot on even though the place wasn't busy and waitstaff was probably preparing for the evening. I ordered Chicken Piccata which was absolutely divine and perfectly cooked. I opted for a side of sauteed broccoli to keep the carbs down and it was great as well. My dining companion enjoyed chicken parm. No complaints on the cocktails either. Great neighborhood place for Italian food and friendly service. Mark did an excellent job taking care of us.
When we make our annual trip to the Melbourne area this is one of our regular stops. This time we stopped in during happy hour for dinner and drinks. $5 House wines were excellent. We enjoyed our entrees and the nice warm bread. Good service but not rushed in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended
I’m a chef, food critic and a freelance journalist - so when I go to a restaurant it’s hard to eat without being overly critical. I try to be non biased and I realize that sometimes a restaurant of the fare isn’t excellent it can be attributed to many things.
I was here on a first date. I’d never been here before and someone recommended it for the food and ambiance. Let’s start by saying that the gastronomical arena in this geographical area is like the Gobi desert. Considering the amount of wealth here it boggles the mind that the restaurant scene is so lacking. One has to go to Palm Beach or Orlando to have a decent selection.
So we are left with barely any choices - other than Texas Roadhouse, Outback and the like.
Ok back to Amici’s. Lovely ambiance and the music is melancholy and old school contributing to the muted lighting to create the perfect Italian vibe.
The wine list is extensive and impressive - high dollar - but really good selection - as it’s part of Chef Table and the bakery belongs to them as well… so excellent proposition.
The menu is extensive - entrees are somewhat costly but the quality of the food is superb, flavors robust, fare is well seasoned and quite flavorful.
Will definitely return - not with my date as he wasn’t worthwhile but with friends etc. Great place tucked away in a small retail center.
Our dinner experience was excellent. Our server was excellent as well.she explained in detail what your dinner specials were. When Our dinner arrived they were hot and delicious.
