Always my fav affordable place in city. As you can see in my photos, you can go bit healthy with lots of seaweed and veggies or go bit naughty and meaty.
Nice warm tips for people that might be first time here or not so used to quick hot pot like this:
1) Perhaps worth your time to ask first if msg is pre-added (like soup prepared) otherwise im sure they can do something for you;
2) If you look at the order sheet you will see "at least 5 items" or sth like that, you probably dont want to order toooooooo much haha not bcz of money just bcz you will find out a gigantic bowl come out of kitchen and thats your order lol.

Nice affordable place! Soup was tasty and service was prompt. Definitely get the sesame soup. I didnβt really enjoy the meat slices because they were too thick for my liking as I was used to thinly sliced meat. Took away a star because service wasnβt really attentive. Had to ask twice for a bowl. Would still come back for the yummy sesame soup though.
Spicy stir fry is very good and flavourfull, friendly workers, and although the place is small, it is quite and not hectic. Overall a great place for a meal
Tiny little place for cheap delicious Sichuan spicy place. Youβll come for the food as itβs a small take away style. Totally recommend, will be back again soon.
Extremely affordable and tasty! This place is also known as Ma La Xiang Guo. Like most of our places that we reviewed, this place is hidden and you can't see any clear sign of the place π€£. You will have to choose a minimum of 5 dishes and pick your flavor for the soup base.

Box hill outlet opened few months ago, not yet has a zomato file. Options and foods are exactly the same as CBD brunch. But the toilet often out of work.
Good value, sesame sauce is the best! Been here for a few times, girls might need to share as the portion is quite big.

A nice small place for hot pot in a cold day. Reasonable price and flavor is amazing with the option for the soup base (reccomend Tom yum soup base) . Fresh and tasty for around 15$-20$ for a mini hot pot is pretty damn good. Best time to go on a cold day it will definitely warm you up.
Don't order too much, especially girls, a medium bowl is enough, bowls like my photos will make you awake until midnightπππππππππππππππππ
THIS hotpot is super cheap and the most delicious one that ive been eaten yet. U can choose ur own vegs and meat. I would recommend dry mixing for the base. U might feel numb on ur tongue when u first eat it. But second time u eat it , u would comeback for it like more then once a week.
They don't joke when they say it's spicy! Awesome food and you get to choose the toppings you want. Cheap and service pretty quick too! Too bad the place is really small.

Good spicy mala tang. Non-spicy available - no ma and no la π€£. Choose from 12 soup bases and pick a minimum of 5 ingredients from a menu. Set menu: seafood 10.99, meat $9.99 or vegetarian $7.99. Other dishes also available. Small place but not too busy. They do lots of takeout and delivery.
Most delicious fried rice ever with multiple options to choose from.
Other dishes like Ma La Tang/Hot Pot and Side dishes to go with are amazing. Very affordable, polite service, fast and delicious.
Our go to place every week. Glad it's still standing after the events this year.

I read through the reviews and they don't seem that great. I assume it's about the pick and choose your hotpot.
My partner really wanted to go here, however I'm not a fan of hotpots in general.
So I opt for the spiced popcorn chicken and beef fried rice.
What you see came to a total of $38.
The popcorn chicken was $6.5 and although it was really delicious, the portion was sooooo small. I would say they were charging a dollar a pop - which is outrageous in my books.
The beef fried rice on the other hand was only $9 and I kid you not, it was one of the best fried rice dishes I've had in a while. It comes second to my partner's cooking though. But for $9, the portion was great and the taste was great. I had to clean the plate!!
Unfortunately, I cannot comment on hotpot because I'd be bias.
I would definitely come here again for the fried rice !
Friendly and popular. My first time trying hot pot, but a great introduction. I would go back next time I'm in town. Menu is in English as well, so it's easy to figure out. εΎε₯½ε!
Nice affordable place! If you really love mala, you should order their dry spicy signature sauce, it's good. I like the concept of where you can choose your own ingredients! (there have a rule where you need to order up to 5 item - but trust me. The 5 item is more than enough, if you're not a big eater you'll be super bloated after eating it. Nevertheless, it's worth going back.
