I have definitely embraced the silly season and come to terms I won’t look like a supermodel this year in Noosa for Christmas so I tried this place and had reservations as I HATE Nando’s and I know the owner has taken them on and I can hand on my heart say I had the best chicken wrap of my life here!
But first the chips. We have been really naughty this weekend gone and yesterday I had it twice. I don’t know what are in those chips but gosh they are just amazing. Crunchy. Salty. Sweet. Oh. My. God. So generous. The extra large fed 4 people who were over.
The fried chicken wrap with bbq habanero is top notch lunch food. Or dinner food. So delicious and crunchy with great flavour. My partner said the burger was perfect and then had a wrap which he said was even better than the burger.
The truffle mayo for the fries is my fave as I’m a truffle addict and the sauce goes perfect with the chicken too.
The coleslaw was crunchy and not dressed heavily so it’s a great addition to the meal.
I think I’ll have to stop ordering online though so I can fit into my swimsuit - but their ordering online through Uber eats and deliveroo - I’ve used both and they’ve been packed perfectly every time and arrived like you were just served in front of you at the restaurant.
Amazing job Richmond!
The grilled chicken is melt in your mouth tender! The chicken breast, the way it was cooked is extraordinary. Not the least bit dry. Chicken breast is usually the least favourite part of the chicken for me however this is really good. The thick cut chips were also cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. Not too salty, not too spicy. Sauce creamer than peri peri but the quality of chicken and chips, miles more advanced than Nandos. Give it a try, you’ll be hooked!
Capricho Grill are an expanding chain of Latin American style casual restaurants serving delicious grilled chicken, salads, burgers and wraps, specialising in habanero based sauces.
We were invited to try some dishes including the Capricho Super Bowl ($14.90), Bacon Loaded Chips ($9.90), 1/2 grilled chicken in habanero medium sauce ($10.90) and chicken spare ribs in habanero bbq sauce ($8.90).
Everything was super fresh, tasty and great value especially when compared to similar restaurant chains. We enjoyed the habanero medium sauce but absolutely LOVED their signature habanero BBQ sauce - especially on the chicken ribs which were perfectly juicy.
All of their sauces are gluten free (although prepared in the same kitchen as other gluten items) and they are expanding all over Melbourne with stores currently in the CBD (near Melb Central), Glen Waverley, Richmond, Port Melbourne and Fawkner. Definitely worth checking out!
