A hidden cafe in Carlton known for its signature matcha crepe cake! Although I live nearby, it took me awhile to find this place (go up grey stairs from Bouverie Street). The cafe itself was beautifully decorated and very cozy inside - a perfect place for a coffee date.
Matcha crepe cake was fluffy without being too sweet. It was right in the sweet spot where sweetness and bitterness of matcha came together wonderfully - very delicate and well balanced. I also liked how it was kept super light and moist and went ridiculously well with latte. I'd love to visit again to try other cakes they had!
Thanks for the review from angel, make easier to find the shop, easy on street parking, if only for take away 15 minutes parking will be enough, Small but cozy shop，quiet bit a variety there, colourful, brought taro, green tea ones, not too sweet and creamy, good for change to Asian fusion cake 🍰
Jasmine tea Mille crepe: light floral taste, not too sweet
Flat white: a bit too milky/ creamy but was pretty smooth
Hot chocolate: not bad but too sweet for me
Previously had a whole matcha adzuki cake: strong matcha flavour and not too sweet
Bit expensive but good place to sit down and have afternoon tea with friends
Location was hard to find, had to go up a flight of stairs
