This was offensively delicious and I can now never go back to supermarket crumps. I am so glad this little shop exists so I can regularly get this $5 wonderful treat 💕

Holy Crumpet was a ‘hole in the wall’ type joint serving coffee and crumpets. Their coffee was great, definitely one of my favourites in Melbourne, and their crumpets, available in both sweet and savoury, were thick and freshly toasted. The crumpet I ordered was topped with a generous sprinkle of cinnamon and nicely sweetened with jam.

Having been meaning to review this place for ages. Didn't know what a crumpet was until I had one of these! Honey and butter is one of my favourites. All about the filter coffee as well, makes the perfect brekkie

Quite simply the best crumpets, made with love by the best people. You will be instantly addicted. Forget everything you thought you knew about the humble crumpet.

Deeeeelicious. Nothing beats a bit of melted cheese on a crumpet already dripping with butter. Coffee was great too. Definitely be back to sample the rotating flavours :)

A small coffee shop that specialised in crumpets. Ordered blackberry honey crumpets and oats hot chocolate. They have very limited seat and I was lucky enough to get sit.

Crumpets was delicious and well toasted. Hot chocolate was great as well.

Will I be back? Yes

Let’s talk crumpets. But not just any ol’ crumpets, ones' that are gloriously lathered in peanut butter and honey – welcome to Holy Crumpets.

A hole in the wall nestled in one of Melbourne's CBD the laneway, across from various iconic landmarks.
Max seating is 3-4 people on bar stools, a grab and go concept. This is as good as it gets for Crumpets. No longer should they be the alternative between toast and pancakes at home or pay exorbitant prices for the standard Dr Marty's Crumpets served with jam and butter.

Crumpets aren't something I considered café food before now, but boy was I wrong! $5 might seem a little steep for such a simple food, but the freshness and high quality more than made it worth it for me.

These ain't the supermarket nonsense, that's for sure. Coffee's good too - you'd hope so in Melbourne.

If you've been surviving off of supermarket crumpets so far, prepare to throw them out after visiting this place. Who knew crumpets could taste this good! I didn't. A speciality crumpet place that only Melbourne could pull off. Being right smack in the middle of the city, it is no wonder this place is popular with the office people in the area. I managed to try their fancy bois which were the truffle butter, pecorino romano & honey and their lemon curd & ricotta which were of course both very different in terms of their flavour profiles but delicious in their own rights. Upon returning, I was sad to see that the truffle one, being seasonal was replaced by another flavour so heres to hoping it would be make another comeback in the future.

"Niche" breakfast (see what I did there 😉) Hot, fresh sourdough goodness with toppings such as macadamia butter or lemon curd and ricotta! Niche, as I mentioned so twos about right. And enjoy the wonders of modern construction with the (new) Melb Metro being built around you!

Very unique crumpet made from sourdough. Even though, it is overnight old, surprisingly, crumpets are still very soft and taste good. From the holes, you can see it is handmade, not bulk made like supermarket version. This little shop had few tables only. Best for takeaway. Each crumpets are quite expensive, crumpets heated up and serve with spread on a plate. The best value is to get 6 packs. You can freeze them to retain freshness. Once defrosted, just like freshly made. This shop also serve coffee and drinks. Best is go there at 9am if breakfast, too early, crumpet may not arrived yet, too late, crumpets sold out. This shop located at small laneway, definitely a hidden gem. Melbourne central is just few minutes walk. Car parking nearby. Easily accessible by public transport.

Really delicious crumpets, they're soft and pillowy, have a really delicious flavour and the spreads on top are absolutely excellent. I'm very keen to go back and work my way through all of the honey varities they have available, which are all pretty unusual and sound delicious.

Don’t underestimate this petite place! I had the original crumpet with honey and it’s amazing! And trust me, I’m usually not a big fan of crumpet, but this is one of its kind.

Absolutely fantastic service - lovely staff members - and highly recommend the dill capers crumpets! Delicious coffee from Wood and Co. and they have the most unique plates - fantastic to see them supporting local businesses and artists. Good work holy crumpets - holy moly I’ll definitely be back! Update - I went back today and tried a new item on their menu: the jam and cinnamon - and it was absolutely exceptional! I had it with a cold brew - which was just the sweet and refreshing pick me up I needed! Fantastic service by Heather - she went above and beyond explaining the notes in the cold brew and the process behind making the crumpets!

A friend from Melbourne told me about these crumpets and that I needed to try them when I visited. They did not disappoint! I still dream about them. The coffee is also superb. Josh the owner was super friendly and gave some nice restaurant recommendations when I was there. Not to mention he's a cutie...
