Great location, right next to ABOM lift entry. Food is good quality, good selection of options. Today we had the souvlaki loaded chips and poke bowl. Poke was slightly on the smaller size but SLC was generous portion. Both tasty. Good customer service and plenty of seating. Wagyu beef burger is recommended. Food a little pricey compared to Melbourne prices, but that seems to be the norm on the mountain. 1 star off only due to price.

Apologies for not getting many photographs at the birdcage however it was a lovely place to hang out even though we were there for just a short amount of time.
We needed to leave early and the staff were more than accommodating in regards to putting my coffee in a takeaway cup and the same with the chips as well.

Ordered a Pork Banh Mi and there’s a long hair on top of the food tangled in the cilantro (definitely not mine). They replaced it after a few minutes but there’s no any complimentary, either a free drink or a cookie for the inconvenience. It’s a bad experience for a first time diner. According to the manager, the complimentary is that they replaced the food.

45mins to serve our food. A burger and a Thai curry. And they put the carry in a paper takeaway container. When i get it, the bottom of the container is soggy and prone to be broken 😡 (forget to take a photo. But it’s changed into a plastic takeaway container)
And a $18 Aperol is served in a paper cup, which I CANNOT accept !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food is delicious! Especially the portion size perfect after being out on the mountain all day. The team works very hard but still with smiles on their face & great customer service. Cocktails are a must try too, especially the special margaritas

The food was OK but the service was HORRIBLE. We waited for 40 minutes for a burger and a curry after order and ridiculously got told by the staff that was the standard waiting time. One of the staff was VERY rude. Never come back again.

I would like to give a hand of applause to the team at birdcage for the Easter long weekend.
All staff had a smile on there face and made the experience a nice one whilst they were under pressure from the amount of customers. There was a wait time on some orders (coffee) yet no one’s coffee or food is as quality as these guys. So thank you team for such an excellent weekend.
