Opened up 3 weeks ago, the wife & I decided to pop by as we were craving Malaysian food.
The food was delicious, the curry beef & the roti was on point! Even though we were full, we decided to give dessert a go. We ordered the sticky rice pudding & the kuih ketayap (pandan crepe, coconut & ice cream), both were superb.
The staff were exceptional, very friendly & cheerful. You can really tell that they want you to enjoy the food & have a great time there. Makes it easier that it's BYO, so bring along your favourite & relax.
We'll definitely be coming back here & supporting a great local business!
Found this hidden gem and what a delight it was. Excellent and friendly customer service - they went out of their way to make our dining experience great.
Meals were well presented, didn't have to wait too long and so fresh and delicious.
A very pleasant dining experience all round. We will be back! Thank you
Wanted Nasi Goreng for dinner and found Makan by Chef Tan. I walked in an got a seat immediately and good service by the family run diner. Water came out straight away so I made the opportunity to order. Nasi Goring and Satay chicken. The satay came out first and was really nice, near on close my eyes and think I am in Chong peng in Singapore. The Nasi Goreng was good but not the best I have had, and I understand, Nasi Goreng can be a hit and miss and also be made whatever is available regarding veggies and meat etc I ate it all so it must have been ok! I am interested in trying the rest of the menu so I will go back. The ambience reminded me of typical south east asian diners but the people in the restaurant were very loud. Get a good crowd in there and it would be deafening.
Recommended by my school friend, his mum's service was very lovely. Food was also amazing, tasted like true Malaysian food I've had in KL. Intense spices and flavours. Hainanese Chicken Rice and Nasi Lemak were amazing.
