Sweet chili chicken was really good and so were the loaded fries with bulgogi beef. Bibimbap though was pretty average unfortunately. Would definitely go back for the chicken and beer next time.
Quaint little Korean joint with delicious fried chicken. Both their original and sweet chilli with peanut and parsley varieties were lip smackingly delicious and at very reasonable prices!
If you look at the angle that it is priced like butter in Surry Hills, you may not complain about the price and portion. I will eat here anytime. The chicken batter is light and fluffy and obviously very crispy. It's different to other regular Korean fried chicken places.
Great to have a legit Korean place in Enmore. Sweet chilli chicken is the bomb and staff really nice. Only downside is it’s slightly on the more expensive side. Nonetheless Flying Tong is becoming a regular for me
Approaching their one-year anniversary, Flying Tong has successfully added yet another cuisine to the bustling Enmore Eat-street. Korean Fried Chicken and Beer is sometimes all a girl ever wants, making Flying Tong ever so accessible with it's short stroll from Newtown Station. There is a beautiful charm from Co-Owner Julie, manning the front of house, and the stories of the family's recipes being incorporated here, with some hands-on help from ma, make for a pretty homely and cosy experience when comparing other mindless and vacant service levels elsewhere.
Amid a vast sea of mediocrity, I was thrilled to find Flying Tong. These people care about what they do, and it's evident in every step of the experience.
The food... oh, the food. We had two types of chicken: the soy & and ginger (divinely delicious, tender, flavourful, boneless, moist and crispy), and the spicy bomb (holy-crap-hot, but not the kind that just burns; this chicken has so much awesome spicy flavour, I suffered through the pain because I couldn't help myself. My dining companions are stronger, and could eat it as happily as I wished I could; it's only my own weakness that kept me from scarfing it down). (Another happy note is that the coriander is just on top, and easily pulled off for those of us who can't touch the stuff).
We had the Gogi Fries (a beautiful blend of flavours; adventurous and comforting simultaneously), and the cheesy corn. I'm too embarrassed to tell you how many orders of the cheesy corn we got through. They import the corn from Korea, and it's tiny, sweet and tender, like corn should be, with fantastic, stringy, melty mozzarella, and perfectly seasoned.
We were all happy and satisfied. The meals were perfectly portioned, not skimpy, and the prices are reasonable. Service was impeccable. Loved it. Cannot wait to go back.

Melted, oozing, gooey, stringy, stretchy cheese. Buried within it are kernels of sweetcorn. Wait until the cheese starts to brown and form a crust all along the edges. If you just experienced a frisson of excitement over that description, the cheesy corn at Flying Tong is your dream come true. The whole shebang arrives on a hotplate, the kind you get for sizzling Mongolian lamb, except here you score one big puddle of bubbling, molten cheese. Oh yes.

When word on the street whispered about Enmore’s newest Korean fried chicken restaurant, Flying Tong had opened, Sarah, Viv and I knew where we’d be heading for our next dinner. Brother and sister duo Julie and Jeff Oh (ex Kobe Jones) are at the helm of the chicken and soon to be bar joint and pumping out deeelicious food like cheesy corn, bulgogi fries and 4 types of fried chicken
spicy chicken is very juicy and crispy! Bibimbap is nice too. Portion for the meal could be more if it's for sharing.
Perfect portion for two, reasonable pricing, with a variety of selections!!! Best way to cure homesick days, you can expext great service too!
Best Korean Fried Chicken. The quality of the food is worth every penny and the service is top notch. Wouldn’t go anywhere else after finding this place.
