Enticing menu, suberb food. Went with half servings and it was still a lot of food. Will definitely be back!
Mediterranean-influenced casual bistro. Extensive and worldly selection of accompanying drinks for your dishes. Thrilled to find my favourite Basque kalmitxo, a red wine and Coca-Cola concoction.
ORDER: steak tartare, parmesan, gaufrette potatoes + three cheese toastie + rigatini with charcuterie XO sauce
VERDICT: would recommend
Great local spot with a diverse food and drinks menu. The place is always full which adds a nice atmosphere. The food is consistently good. The only down fall is sometimes they are extremely understaffed and as such drinks might take 20-30minutes or you might be forgotten about at the table for extended periods of time, however this is made up for by the quality of the food and drinks.
Yum. 6pm booking for on a Friday night. Steak tartare - the flavours are beautiful, Fresh zingy and delicious. Chips perfect for the dish.
The prawns were just delicious. Fresh fresh fresh and flavours wonderful.
The octopus - yum. I’m really impressed by this point.
Sausage - ok , but not as great as first three dishes .
Love the first three though and I’ll be back 😍
Return visit. Yum. So happy it’s still just so good.
Steak tartare - amazing. Grilled prawns with xo sauce - delicous. Chorizo with black bean yum but ohhh the potato with cafe de Paris !! Mind blown !!

On Tuesday 30th July 2019, my partner and I had dinner here for our 4th anniversary. My partner actually ended up proposing to me halfway through our meal, which ended up being the most special night, made even more special by the fact that our beautiful waitress George, brought us each a glass of champagne to celebrate and happened to write down the name of the artist and song that was playing when Allan proposed. A piece of paper that I will now keep forever (and will definitely play the song at our wedding).
The dishes in the Chefs Menu were flavour explosions and possibly the best food I have ever had in Sydney, the menu is so creative, the atmosphere is so intimate and the staff just make everything that extra special. Definitely my new favourite restaurant and I can't wait to go back!
I've always been a fan of restaurants serving a shared plates concept which allows for more variety in food choice whilst getting to share that gastronomical experience with somebody else and Continental Deli, Bar and Bistro doesn't disappoint. Perfect for a date night or in my case, a meal with a friend, this place has featured ingredients from their deli which stocks great seasonal produce in a fun and casual dining space.
Our server Dan had a bubbly and charismatic personality and helped us through the menu, giving his own food and drink recommendations (try the Continental Hot buttered rum...you won't regret it!)
Highlight from the night had to be the pasta special of the week; tagliatelle with pippies, garlic chives and charcuterie XO sauce (made in house).
Thanks Continental for a great dining experience. Hope to be back soon.
Always love eating at Continental Deli, both upstairs and downstairs. The cheeses and cured meats are superb and the dinner dishes fantastic. The highlight for me was the octopus with ndjua and corn purée (pictured). The staff are always super friendly and helpful. They also have a great wine list. I love returning as the vibe is warm and welcoming. I feel like I back am in Europe. #salumi #mortadella
I love dining here! You have the option of sharing various small plates; or the option of having a proper meal to yourself.
I loved the steak tartare (they will give you more crisps if you ask nicely), three cheese toastie (simple and glorious); and fish and chip sandwich (unique and delicious if you love sardines).
Cocktails served in a tin was a nice unique touch as well.
Definitely coming back.
WOW. All dishes were a hit! I recommend ordering a la carte rather than a banquet as it is cheaper and you can get what you want! For four people, we ordered the following
- charcuterie board 3.5/5: it was good but not the best cheese/meat selection, and only one soft cheese. I think Stinking Bishops in Enmore has better cheese and meat selections
- steak tartare 5/5, the flavour was amazing and probably one of the best steak tartare so have had in a long time. It came with crispy potato wafer thins which paired perfectly.
- king prawns 5/5, it was like a piña colada prawn. So tasty!! So much sauce and zest.
- octopus 5/5, great chilli flavour and the octopus was cooked perfectly
- pork sausage 5/5, quite a large sausage and it comes with creamy mash underneath. Full of flavour!
It cost us $50 each for all this including a tip. I loved it! The ambience is also like you are eating at someone's house which is quite cool.
