A very nice little cafe. Lovely turkish coffee and sweets. turkish delights to spoil yourself with. Service really good. I fully recommend this cafe and great value for money.
Great ice cream and friendly staff.
Beautiful flavours that are not too sweet. Hakiki's ice cream doesn't melt too fast and can be enjoyed at your leasure.
Really nice ice cream place in Newtown. They do their flavour combinations very well. As a personal preference- is too stretchy/gummy.

This was my first time trying Turkish ice cream and it was definitely different compared to regular gelato. The texture has more elasticity and I think takes longer to melt. I enjoyed playing with the stretchiness and of course, eating it š
I got 2 scoops to share for $7.9 - the baklava and the watermelon, strawberry, rosewater. Getting the baklava flavour was a no brainer since it is a delicious dessert that I love. They even had chunks in it! The other flavour was light and refreshing to balance the sweet pastry flavour.
Very interesting type of gelato a nice and heaps of good flavours like baklava. We also enjoyed a few types of different baklava like cherry. They also have Turkish coffee and tea which is very good, as well as Turkish delight.
We got why this place got good reviews. The ice creams are really great! Lovely elastic texture and didnāt melt as quick as normal ice cream. Great range of flavours too! We tried their walnut & fig, coffee & cream and the orange blossom flavour. Love them all :) also tried aniseed and orange turkish delight which we wished we bought more of!
A little bit sweet but overally nice and great try! Should be recommended to add toppings to be better taste š I must try some desserts here next time then š
The viscosity of Turkish ice cream is already a groovy novelty, but I'm pleased to say that the flavour is great to match!
There's a lot of variety, too.
We took the trip to Newtown while staying in Sydney just to try this place, and it was definitely worthwhile.
The blood orange and raspberry ice cream was šÆšš»ā¤ļø
Me and my sister went there out of curiosity when we saw the people lining outside. We werenāt disappointed š
Turkish ice cream has got an unique texture and very different from the usual ice cream or gelato. I have heard about it for a long time and always wanted to try it, so I was super excited to find out about this shop in Sydney. Ordered double scoop ice cream, some sweets and Turkish delights. Love the ice cream, especially the Tahini flavor, however some of the desserts were a bit on the sweet side for me. Overall, it has been an interesting experience.
Best baklava Iāve ever tasted in my life! Just the way I like it....Not sweet. They have lots of different flavors. Two Fav baklava flavor were the cherry and chocolate, yum! Cherry baklava was a little tart so it was Perfect balance with the sweetNess, yummmmm! Pistachio flavor one is mild. All were Nice and moist.
Ice cream was very good, flavor was Turkish coffee, it was more flavorful than the other ice cream flavors that we tasted there, tasted like coffee with a little bit of chocolate. Unfortunately Other ice cream flavors we tried here( as samples ) tasted very bland but I did like how they werenāt sweet. string like texture was awesome! I liked the texture more than Normal western ice cream.
Also, we tried the Turkish coffee and didnāt like it cuz it was too bitter and too strong for us, but it was my first time trying Turkish coffee so I donāt kno if this was considered good but itās not for me, it didnāt have milk in it , was grainy, and it is serve with a little cup of Luke warm water, the kettle and tiny cup were super cute tho!!
Vibe was chill. We liked sitting outside on the little chairs. Window bar seat looked nice too. The inside was quite small so thereās not many seats. We were lucky to have gotten an outside table seat :-) decor is very cute and Turkish looking.
The service was not friendly, it was just average, no smiles, but no issues. Problem: I didnāt like how the guy handing me ice cream samples would lick his finger cuz some of the ice cream dripped on his finger during scooping samples, he did this multiple times and it made me feel like thatās not sanitary ewwww :-( I was very grossed out by this, sadly. I hope this doesnāt happen again.
location is a bit of a walk from the train station. Area didnāt seem super safe, was a little desolate when we went on Sunday night, so I suggest going during the day time rather than after dark (just a tip for the cautious ladies out there, like myself). We will definitely eat here again cuz we loved the baklava and would like to try their other desserts :-)
So addicted to the texture of the ice cream! Highly recommend cocoa with Turkish coffee flavor, so good! Even ordered takeaway late night with a 500 ml tube lol
