New and delicious menu plus excellent, friendly service. Great coffee!!!
Came here every weekend and never get disappointed.
Good service, delicious coffees.
This is a perfect spot for a weekend brunch, nice coffee, friendly staff, good bakery and very generous dishes
Lovely spot with good hearty food. Great for some respite after visit to COB Lifehouse seeing very unwell relative. Particularly liked the banana and peanut butter smoothie! ☺️
Went to cafe Felix today with the two doggies and my partner. We had a Burger w/ sweet potato chips($19) and added bacon($4) to it... Of course! And the Pesto Pasta($22) Both were very Nice and the servings were MASSIVE!!!!!!!!! The food was really nice and because it was raining they let us eat I side with the doggies on our lap(lucky we don't have huge dogs) It is lovely decor. There was also outdoor seating but it was very cold. The decor is "modern barn chic" Service was really the only let down there. Whilst staff were all lovely it took a while to get the food. but at the end of the day the meal was amazing and we will probably be back :D Coffee wasn't bad either. Dog friendly :D
I really loved the vibe of this place, open and airy and a very high ceiling.
It seemed like the crowd were regulars, and that there was a nice vibe between staff and customers.
And if you've read my reviews, you know that I love coffee art.
Three cheers, Cafe Felix.
Lovely breakfast cafe in Newtown. Cute and cosy vibe inside with outdoor street-view seating as well. Very friendly and attentive staff. Smooth and tasty coffee ( says a lot coming from a Melbourne coffee snob) and very delicious avo, feta beetroot toast with carrot cream and what seemed to be crispy carrot chips to top it off (my favourite part). Will be back soon!
After a spot of shopping in Newtown we stopped into Cafe Felix for refreshments. My friend had a Macadamia Milk Tumeric Latte and it’s fragrant smell made me quite envious. I instead had the Watermelon Bomb Tea and it did taste like watermelon. The tea also had hints of rosehip, hibiscus and spearmint. Very refreshing indeed. #cafefelix
The service here is very good. The barista noticing I had just arrived and the wait staff were busy, walked out from behind the counter to seat me and serve me water.. that’s pretty special.
Ordered the roast pork sandwich with Vietnamese honey roasted ham, papaya and Chinese cabbage coleslaw in a crusty roll. Finger licking deliciousness.
Located on Missenden Road close to King Street. This cafe has expansive seating and it wasn’t too busy when I visited so grabbed a seat and waited for a bit. Service was slow to start off with but got better once I got their attention and they took my order.
I had a Jasmine Iced Tea which had apple juice, lime, and rosemary and the aforementioned tea. It packed a lot of flavour in this drink. To eat I ordered the Eggs Florentine. I was attracted to the dish as it sounded delicious and colourful. The eggs were slightly small but went with the serrano ham and spinach. Beetroot purée adorned the plate which made it pop but also added a nice flavour. Overall a nice dish.
I finished off with a Cappuccino and they used Toby’s Estate. Coffee was good once I got it but think order went amiss as waited a little bit for it.
The interior makes for a pleasant environment without much traffic noise. Coffee was creamy with an unusual tang and served fairly cold. I had a piece of spanakopita with wonderful rich spinach and cheese.
This was our second visit here. It turned out to be as good as the first visit, which was 2 weeks prior only. The place was packed on a busy Saturday brunch. We were still served promptly, got tables & coffee order very promptly.
Service was great. The dishes arrived not too long after (about 22 minutes after we arrived, but had coffee to keep us preoccupied whilst waiting)... considering the place was very busy.
We made the right choice of coming back again after a great first time visit with a large table of very satisfied patrons.
Great coffee, friendly & prompt service with delicious brunch. 👌🏽👌🏼👌🏽
So, I've been twice now and both times the coffee tasted pretty good. But the Sunday morning shamozzle (prolly two zeds) that greeted me this morning was both disappointing and hilarious. Coffees lost, orders sent to wrong tables, extra wait times and great confusion. One star off! A busy cafe off King Street that draws a good sized crowd, both from the Newtown hipster set and the unwell plus their carers (I have been at one point or other in my life a part of all three subsets ☺️). Discount offered to Ambos, nurses, students which is a nice touch. Neat, welcoming - staff are friendly and attentive if perhaps lacking in odd senses of humour. Is tragic the walls are lined with individual patrons seated at tables for two, keeping to themselves or playing on their laptops and not talking to each other. Wifi is just that good and has a lot to answer for. So, the coffee was pretty good, rates better than the milky soup I get in other...ahem.... parts of Sydney. The courtyard out the back is pretty quiet, and the umbrellas provide pretty good shade from a reasonability of rain. Good place to come and have a chat with good friends.
Nice and spacious cafe with a small outdoor seating area. This cafe is just off the main strip in Newtown (King Street). The coffee was decent although a bit on the light side for my taste. The French Toast that I ordered was a great and the portion size was good. I loved the airy and open feel of the cafe and the fact that its off the main strip meant that it was not over crowded. I had a pleasant time having my coffee and reading the morning paper.
Friendly staff. Good coffee. The Big Breakfast was tasty and massive. I would have preferred it on a plate instead of a board but interesting presentation seems to be the thing now. Will be going back.
