*COFFE ONLY REVIEW*
Just had the best experience at Three Queens, I haven't been before. I only ordered my morning coffee. The barista was great, early morning jokes and a 10 out of 10 perfect cup of cappuccino. I'm always weary going to a new café, a coffee should have that little bit of sweetness from the milk being frothed correctly without adding any sugar, balanced with the bitterness of the blend. The baristas here knows his stuff. Made my morning =)
Newtown’s King Street is the heart of the inner-west’s food scene, home to some of Sydney’s favourite delights including Brewtown’s cronuts, Black Star Pastry’s strawberry and watermelon cake, Cloud Nine’s ice cream sandwiches, Mary’s burgers and The Pie Tin’s pies. So, it would be an understatement to say that Three Queens on King would face some tough competition when it opened up in February this year. We were first notified of its entrance into Newtown’s saturated food market when photos of its tantalising soft shell crab salad on pristine blue plates started appearing on our Instagram feed. After realising that it was just beyond the edge of our campus, Andrew and I decided to grab two of our friends (Eshan and Bobby) to try out this new café during one of our lunch breaks.
Amazing!
This quaint little cafe did not disappoint. The staff were really friendly and the food super fresh. Good portion sizes and menu options.
The eggs were perfectly poached!
The cafe is really bright with huge open windows. The only downside is that there are quite a lot of flies that wander in. Worth it though! Yum
The staff are always so friendly here and the wait is always under 10 minutes. We've recommended a bunch of friends and everyone has loved it!
I've had the lamb and cous cous, the soft shell crab and the salmon. All amazing. Highly recommended!
A small but very friendly and helpful cafe, situated at the university end of King Street, serving a variety of meals, drinks and snacks. Staff were excellent, friendly and efficient.
I came here for breakfast/brunch after reading their Broadsheet writeup. The menu is small, but everything on offer is really tasty. I had their zucchini fritters, and a friend ordered their Toad in a hole - the poached eggs were slightly underdone, but overall our meals were tasty and portions were a good size. Good coffee and lovely service - they were understaffed with only 3 people on in front of house. There was a bit of a wait for food, but I'd still go back.
