Ordered 🍚: broken rice combination and bun bo hue
LIT!: - highlight was the meat loaf in the broken rice. It was so airy, fresh and crumbly. Probably one of the best I’ve had.
-The portion size is decent for both dishes
- Beautiful interior.
BBH was good but if you’re looking for a good bowl of BBH, drive a little further to Springvale to Bun Ngon. If you don’t have time, this place will help satisfy cravings.
NOT SO LIT: the pork chop and egg was a bit on the dry side
Great restaurant for locals
3.5
What was once an unchartered territory for us is slowly becoming an occasional stopover for lunch. Third visit to Noble Park and still unfamiliar, we wandered around for a bit before deciding on Thu Do.
The layout was simple yet comfortable enough and bright with cute little Vietnamese dolls adorning the hanging shelves above the counter.
I had trouble deciding between the dry or soup version of the Rice Noodles With Prawn & Pork so I asked the young girl for her recommendation and dry it was.
From the generous garnishing of chives and fresh herbs to the slices of pork and sprinklings of sinful (but oh-so-good) fried pork lard, it had the taste to match. It was just the rubbery texture of the rice noodles that I found hard to get used to. Oddly enough, I still somewhat enjoyed my dish in its entirety although a tiny part of me wished I’d gotten the soupy one instead.
My partner who felt more of a healthier option that day got the Bon Bon Combination Salad. True to the definition of what a good salad is, it boasted freshness and vibrance with a dressing that was balanced to a tee!
Now, we do tend to be a little skeptical whenever it comes to quail as it can be unpleasantly dry and tough when poorly executed, but no, not here. Our Roast Quail was beautifully moist and delicious! Trailing not far behind was the Beef In Piper Lolot.
Everything was nicely plated up with fresh ingredients and clean, clear-cut flavours that didn’t leave us with that heavy or bloated after-effect.
Great Vietnamese food with a decent selection of vegetarian dishes! Portion sizes are big and food is authentic. Would definitely recommend it
this restaurant is reallyyy CLEAN and foods are TASTY. I have eaten in many restaurant in Springvale and Noble Park but have ever seen any restaurant clean as this
Really good quality clean Viet food. We used to go to Street Pho once/twice a week until this place popped up. It used to be a bubble tea shop but now they have added a full restaurant menu which means you can still get a bubble cup with your food. Amazing. I think its a mother/daughter that do most of the customer service and they are really sweet and attentive.
We came when they almost closed. The lady was very nice and polite.
The food was superb especially when we were starving.
My partner ordered a crispy skin chicken rice which was yummmm. Mine was beef rice which was also flavorful and generous. Will be back for sureeee!
Oh, and they are new to the local (i think :)!) so come and check them out ;)
Very nice place, large portions. I had the take-away pho on a night feeling sick. Enough for dinner and lunch the next day. CASH ONLY though.
We came for an early lunch. Great Satay and Spring rolls. Vegetable clay pot great for vegetarians. Lovely prompt service and tasty food. Popular with locals.
I usually come here and after having Bun Bo Bue ( spicy beef noodle soup) i become a loyal customers. Big and satisfied portion. The soup is not clear - true but keep in minds one thing: soup that cooked with real bones and veggies, herbs can NOT be clear!!! As a students with 2 years of training and cooking in commercial cookery course and experienced vietnamese home cook, i can guarantee what i had said. Lovely staff... the smoothies are the best
Way better than street pho.
10/10 pho
10/10 BBH
Most friendliest people and always giving generous amount of meat and noodles.
the Betel leaf is also amazing.
A simple restaurant but the beef soup of Pho is above average compared with many Vietnam restaurants i visited around the world. Both the quality of the noodle and beef soup is close to what I have in Vietnam. Shrimp spring roll is good. The grill pork with the cold noodle is very good taste and smell too.
Little hole in the wall spot. Very generous servings with everything. Will definitely return!
This is a hidden gem. My mum and I came here for dinner this evening and had the beef wrapped in betel leaves and pho. The food was super flavoursome and we left with very full bellies. The service was fast and our waitress was very friendly. We will definitely be back!!
It was very busy today which made service quite slow. However the service was friendly and the food was good. Cash only makes it a bit tricky if you've not got cash, so make sure you do! Not sure why that is and hope it's nothing to do with dodging taxes!? All in all some nice Vietnamese food and worth a visit đź‘Ť
Fantastic Pho.
Really fresh extras!
Highly recommend Thu Do
Fantastic food, authentic flavours and friendly atmosphere. Had the chicken with shantung sauce and it was magnificent! Be sure to say hello to Mummy Tram when you pop in :)
Love this little restaurant, not flash what you see is what you get. Service and food are great, give it a go you won't be disappointed.
