Stepping into Averry cafe is like stepping into a fairytale land. Cafe by day, bar by night, it is fully licensed and has a whimsical rose theme, with a rose art on the wall and the quote “It is the time that you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important” The Little Prince on the wall in neon pink along with cute cushions. I love the decor of this place, it is probably one of my favourites in Sydney and could not wait to check out their brunch menu.
First time visit, my partner and I shared the chicken burger and the beef burger: both were fantastic!
Definitely a surprise, will visit again for the burger definitely, will be tough to tear away and try something else....
Ambience was nice, service was very very good.
Definite recommend.
In a relatively secluded corner of Macquarie Centre, and off Myer, Quell Cafe provides a quiet, secluded place for people to get a break from the hustle & bustle of the main shopping area.
On this occasion, I tried their vegan breakfast with hash brown, sautéed spinach, asparagus, mushroom, avocado, apple cider pickled zucchini, topped with an olive oil & seeded mustard dressing (didn't see/taste this). The dish is rather basic but they delivered in spades. For some reason, they served me a mocha but retrieved it back within minutes, claiming that the cup was wrong. However, the second drink was served in the same shaped cup. Anyway, the mocha had a strong shot of coffee, which was adequate enough to give me a morning boost.
Even though there didn't appear to be that many customers (the cafe is rather extensive), table service was limited and food took a while to arrive.
Hidden gem inside Myer, great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping centre. The interior is beautiful with nice ambiance and very friendly staff. They have a decent breakfast menu with a Mediterranean twist - the fig and ricotta fruit loaf and breakfast mezze is a must try! Also on offer is an extensive dessert menu and selection of cakes (including strawberry watermelon cake from Black Star Pastry). Great food and great environment will definitely be returning
I have been coming to Quell Cafe since it opened about a year ago...it is simply AMAZING. Macquarie Centre is a great place to shop, but even better is escaping to Quell Cafe for a coffee, breakfast or lunch - it is seriously a place where you can QUELL and get away from it all. So aptly titled, you can simply relax. The decor is beautiful - trendy and modern, and the service is impeccable. The staff are so friendly, the cafe is spacious with comfy booths and lounges and there is no passing traffic like the other cafes. It is so much better than most other shopping centre cafes! Why would you go anywhere else? To me it's a no-brainer. The food is also amazing, they have a great menu that is seasonal and varied, and much better than a normal shopping centre cafe. These guys are seasoned professionals, they clearly have heaps of experience. Everything is delicious. I go here with my family and kids, for catch ups with my friends and also by myself to escape!! There is no other place I'd rather go. It is pure bliss. Thank you Quell for providing this place for everyone.
This place is an absolute gem if you can find it. Located in Macquarie Shopping Centre it’s actually part of Myer. Gorgeous Frankie’s Beans coffee you owe it to yourself to try one from here. I’ve only had long black or soy caps myself but both are spectacular.
Italian omelet for brekky is awesome and I also love the Wagyu Beef Burger and the moussaka. They are the only three dishes I have had so far but the menu looks quite extensive.
Very friendly staff, I just can’t fault anything.
Went here for a light lunch. Just missed out on breakfast but the menu looked great. We had a few sandwiches and coffee, delicious! But what I particularly liked about this place was the friendly service and big tables with lots of room, both hard to find in the area ;)
Well hidden away next to the carpark and (attached to) Myer, it was a little hard to find. Have previously tried to dine at this cafe, but they stop serving breakfast at 11:45am, so ended up going somewhere else instead. This time we turned up a bit earlier for breakfast. Interesting looking menu, I bypassed my usual pick of sweet, and went for the vegan breakfast. Ironically my friend who's a vegetarian order the eggs benedict, the cafe was good enough to swap out the protein with halloumi. Overall the food quality was quite high. My Vegan breakfast was quite filling even without bread. Definitely worth coming back to try the rest of the menu.
Amazing decor & great coffee. Very chill layout away from the bustle of Macquarie Centre. The boys are very professional & always has good vibes going on giving the place a welcoming feel.
Amazing food!! The food was very delicious and very nice presentation
Waiters were very nice however the wait for the food took about 25-30minutes
Food was really nice but it would've been a better experience if they hired more chefs so that customers don't have to wait too long for their meal
Overall a pleasant experience
