Dining at the restaurant part of the alma is incredible as it's a cosy and private section. The outside courtyard is also nice. The schnitzel with diane sauce is a favourite.
All the staff were very friendly and great with the kids too. this place has the best steak fries I’ve ever had in my life. Crunchy on the outside, mash on the inside.
Me and mates came here on saturday night. The place was packed but the waiter and waitress were well respond to our needs. It didn't take long untill the foods came up. We had Jamaican Chicken bites and Pork Belly bites for entree. Both were nice though the portion bit small just a few pieces, you can have it all one at a time.
For main we had Chicken and Prosciutto Saltimbocca, Confit Pork Belly and Scotch Fillet. Three of them were really nice, and we polished the plate. Nothing wrong with the food. Service was good, staff on the floor were nice..except!! When they cleared up the table that bit annoyed us. Two waitress just took the plate and glass without asked us first, one of the entree has few pieces left and she didn't even look. Seems she is the leader, she has the talkie attached on her waist. I never seen her smile or chat with the customer asked if everything okay..the rest staff they were pretty good.
Early lunch on a Sunday. Started with tapas, arancini balls with Sugo delicious, lovely size and flavour, jerk chicken was the other option, good flavour but a touch dry maybe due to the size of the strips. Main of seafood paella, lots of seafood, however the chorizo very salty and overpowered the dish, which was a pity. But I still ate it all up regardless. Saltimbucco chicken with radicchio very flavoursome. One of the nicer pubs around, one of our go to's.
We recently dined in the restaurant, and the quality was quite good. I had the lean green salad which although quite different, was very tasty! I added pork bites, which were delicious and crispy! We shared some french fries, which of course, were lovely! The schnitzels, cesar salad, and trawlers catch appeared well-liked by my company. I wouldn't recommend the haloumi and lentil salad, as friend said the lentils were overdone, and flavour was bland. The service was great, waiters were prompt, polite and friendly. I wouldn't mind visiting again, there certainly some great dishes on the menu!
I had a nice but not particularly outstanding butter chicken while my husband had a chicken snitty with mushroom sauce. He was very happy with his meal which included a small pot of salad and chips. The garlic bread was delicious! Crusty continental bread which was piping hot! Nice selection of wine and friendly efficient staff. Lovely ambiance too. Pear and apple tart was the highlight!
Surprisingly good eats. We had a table of 8 and we all enjoyed our meals
we had schnitzels, fish, calamari and even a steak in the group. All perfectly cooked - the pizza was good apparently too. Service is friendly although a little slow.

Chilli fries. OMG it's a must try for their chilli cheese fries. They are amazing. So yummy good hit of chilli too

Great Atmosphere with a large beer Garden and fire, or a very nice Dining room.
Large meals and a very nice menu. We had a function with 30+ people, meals came out quickly.
Absolutely wonderful, great staff, extremely friendly and helpful.
Food was delicious and hot when it arrived at the table, big plus.
We had a Family lunch and all of us were impressed.
The Senior's menue was a hit, with the senior member's and we certainly will return.
Lot's of great choices for the younger ones.
The Alma didn't miss out as we all enjoy a drink or two.

Have not been to the Alma Tavern for a long while. Pleasantly suppriesed. Has been renovated. Meal was good and the staff efficient and friendly, prices average.
