A nice cafe with quick service and friendly staff. I ordered a flat white, pancakes and a triple chocolate muffin.
The coffee was fine. I thought the pancakes were a little on the small side but they tasted great, particularly the berry compote.
The only slight disappointment was the muffin, which was closer to single chocolate rather than triple. Apart from odd chocolate chip, which were a little on the scarce side, it barely tasted of chocolate.

The omelette was quite nice had good texture and taste alright. But my coffee came out luke warm and the taste of coffee was pretty bad. In summary omelette was good coffee very bad.

Staff is generally friendly. Food and coffee is just okay but good portion. If you're looking for a special brunch experience, there are better cafes. But if you live nearby and looking for something casual/convenient, this is a good choice.

We found Bella Gina just by wandering around, looking for somewhere to get breakfast. What a great find Bella Gina is! The food is fantastic, we had Bella Gina (eggs benedict) and smashed Avocado on Toast, both were lovely but the Nutella/Oreo milkshake had the wow factor for sure � To top it all off, the service is excellent, it's now a destination for us, whenever we are in Perth.

Absolutely a great Cafe, friendly staff, delicious food and nothing was too much trouble. I took a large group of Senior Citizens here for High Tea and it was just perfect, the staff really looked after us and made it a special day for everyone. Perfect.

This is our go-to breakfast café in a part of Hay Street that has a lovely neighbourhood feel to it. The coffee and fresh juices are great, muffins delicious and the belly buster breakfast is very generous in size as well as tasty.  <br/> <br/>The owners have a lot of time for customers and offer a very personalised experience. The wait staff are very attentive and friendly and always take the time to welcome you or have a chat. <br/> <br/>True value for money in a central location in Perth city, I can highly recommend Bella Gina whether it's for a takeaway coffee with a treat, in house breakfast and lunch or even for catering options (my colleagues also love Jo's famous muffins!).

I am in Perth often and am staying nearby so decided to try the closest cafe Bella-Gina. I saw the place was taking a large table's order so I knew I would have to wait and ordered a bacon&egg takeaway, with BBQ sauce of course. Almost half an hour later and I had run out of excuses for why it could take this long. After approaching the staff they assured me it was next out. I had a meeting to get to. When it came the bacon was cold! The eggs were overcooked! I was even asked if I preferred them runny which I do. Very disappointing. Will be walking further down the road next time! What a shame! Young girl serving was lovely though, which is the only nice thing I can say.

A fab breakfast hub with sensational omelettes and great service. We have been many times and their custom made juices especially never fail to disappoint. We love a breakfast treat even though we can do it ourselves, so the stakes are high on this review! Simply delicious guys, keep it up!

Great coffee, fresh food and really lovely owners. A real wholesome family-friendly place to go for breakfast, even with toddlers! <br/><br/>They make up all of the muffins and baked goods every morning and it smells delicious when you first walk in. <br/><br/>I'm a huge fan of the retro vibe here, it feels a lot more welcoming than a lot of the super hipster places up the street.

Service was friendly but the drinks came out after 30 minutes. At least the food came out shortly after. I'm fine paying $60 a meal for two but not when the scrambled eggs are dry, hashbrowns sloppy and poached eggs hard.

Visited here on Monday with my work colleagues from Sydney. Not many good things I can say about this place. For one, the coffee was absolutely abysmal. Not only was it bitter, it was extremely weak. I’m unsure if the barista even knew how to make a long Mac. To me, it tasted like a weak latte. Secondly, impossible to order food when the two elderly people that worked there (I assume they are the owners) are screaming to each other in conversation from opposite ends of the cafe. This wasn’t a major problem but overall degraded the experience. The male owner appeared to be quite demanding to his staff and this was seriously off putting, kind of rude if you ask me. Only thing that was kind of nice was the food. Breakfast menu does ok so does the fresh juice menu. Won’t be rushing back soon.

Staff are always super friendly, get to know you and remember your order! They actually have the best coffee in Perth always made with pride even during busy periods! Food is great, they cater to most dietary needs and are usually happy to change your order to suit, and the juices are freshly made while you wait none of this bottled nonsense! Highly recommend

It's been a long time since I visited Bella-Gina.<br/><br/>The decor is the same, but I assume the ownership /staff has changed.<br/><br/>It's a great place too. Unexpectedly friendly and energetic. In the past years a few more coffee destinations have risen along this end of hay street, but here seems to have stepped up and answered a challenge.<br/><br/>Large dedicated coffee crowd at the door before opening, so you're doing something right for the apartment dwellers here.<br/><br/>Menu and specials are traditional but with an inventive twist - fresh juices, filled croissants, touches of jalapeños and sweet potato.<br/><br/>Food is prepared well and presented professionally. Coffee is good, and a large gets you exactly that.<br/><br/>A good job being done here.

This restaurant is abysmal! The food is bland the coffee is bland, the cafe is dirty and sticky everywhere. The staff are miserable and look like they are suicide watch, the owners are rude and very abrupt to staff members and customers. It's not child friendly at all, you have to use the toilet inside the apartment block which the cafe is attached which is under lock and key, asking for this was a ball ache and they almost seemed offended when I asked to use the loo. The coffee was cold and tasteless and the Irish girl serving was extremely patronising and rude. Give this a miss, Mooneys up the road far better coffee with a smile and a warm welcome.

Rude,rude&tasteless. Stopped in here for a much needed perth culture lunch! Instead was greeted with bland eggs and rude,offensive owners. The staff looked miserable and I don't blame them after overhearing them being heckled by the male owner&chef. Save your pennies for one of the better cafes in perth with real atmosphere and food! Baffles me how this place is still running!

Scrambled eggs. Staying for a few short days i am sampling the delights of breakfasts in Perth and to be honest it has not been that great. However Bella Gina saved the day with scrambked eggs that were truly fantastic my chefs back in the uk do a mean scramble so dont tell this place was better. All the staff very polite and efficent most importantly smiling which suggests to me they enjoy what they are doing

You come for the food, you stay because it's the only thing open.. An unfairly maligned little establishment, the oddly named Cafe Bella-Gina (odd because it isn't Italian in any perceptible way - the owner is a pom and all his staff are backpackers from anywhere but Italy) serves good sized, tasty hearty meals and fair-to-middling coffee.<br/><br/>The owners are always friendly to me and I have only ever seen the chef have a crack at one customer who asked for some ridiculous modifications to a menu item.

AMAZING EGGS. My family and I were in the city and we were looking for a nice place to eat breakfast. When we cam across Bella Gina cafe it looked nice so we went in. I ordered The Lot=Egg,Mushrooms,Tomatoes,2 pieces of toast,sausages and baked beans I also had Apple, Ginger and carrot juice (that was nice and fresh!!!) As soon as i was going to take my first bite the waitress came and said that the chef would give me a muffin of my choice if i finish (I am only a kid) So it must of taken me at least 30 minutes to finish and then got a muffin, Raspberry and white Choc. Also a hand shake with the chef! The place was VERY nice and the egg was AMAZING! The place was pretty small but cozy. Great food lots of people coming in and out. Had fun trying the Apple, Ginger and carrot juice very different but of course nice. Staff were very friendly. Great experience will go again!!!! :) :)

Rude Phone Manner. (I work as a PA/receptionist) <br/>I called up to ask how large their fruit platters were and what fruit was used as I needed one for the next day for 7 people, and didn't want to get one too large. The chef began telling me what sized fruit platters were best for what time even though I had said it was for a lunch. I had to interrupt him as he was explaining this as I had someone I needed to attend to come into reception. I apologized and asked if I could call him back; he said yes. I then hung the phone up. <br/>When I called back to place my order, he told me he wouldn't talk to me because I had hung up on him, apparently. He then promptly hung up on me.<br/><br/>I found this very rude and unprofessional, I will not be going to the cafe or using them for catering again.

As an employee of Bella Gina cafe I have never had a problem with the owners in fact I think they are lovely and are always there for us if any member of staff have a problem. I think it is great that they hire backpackers as alot of cafes in Perth do not!! Yes the owners have two cafes that are a great success also we see the same regular costumers (that we all know by name) who really apprecite the service we give them as they are in Monday to Friday. We must be doing something right!!!!!!!

I've been to Bella Gina several times and the chef and staff have been very welcoming!!although there is a little bit of await when there busy but come on its not a fast food restaurant and it's always worth the wait!!service with a smile makes a big difference and that's one thing for sure that the girls always have!! It's great to have a chef with a sense of honour always crack jokes and having the laugh with customers shows he appreciate our business!!i hear ye've been here eight years ye must be doing something right!!

Never Step Foot into This Excuse of a Cafe. I cannot begin to describe in words how horribly awful the owner / "chef" is - Rude is putting it kindly. Both himself and his wife run the place and treat the wait staff with such disrespect in front of the customers everyday, making the customers awkward. I would not recommend this place to a single soul. Awful people and the food is over priced and plain - not anything to write home about. <br/><br/>They also somehow managed to open a second cafe in THE PERTH MINT just down the road from Bella Gina. They do not deserve to have a cafe in such a great little tourist attraction.<br/><br/>So to sum up - Awful atmosphere and shockingly rude bullying owners.

Down Right Rude Owners. I have popped into this cafe on a few occasions to buy takeaway coffee. Sometimes the waiting staff are happy and other times they are quite unhappy looking and this can come across rude. I have seen other comments regarding the waitresses being rude and other comments about the waitresses being pleasant. <br/><br/>Just last week I decided to stop and have some breakfast, the cafe was quite empty and as I watied for my food I witnessed the chef being very rude to the girls and came across as a bit of a bully, the girls had previously been in happy moods smiling and working away and he just seem to be picking on them for no reason and their moods changed dramatically and they looked un happy and basically bored of his behaviour. <br/><br/>I think it is outragous that someone in this day and age can get away with employing staff and treating them with total disrespect. I understand now why he only employes backpackers as no person in their right mind would work for such a pig on a long term basis. The food was very average and my egg was not cooked properly. <br/><br/>Could be a cool place but the bully in the kitchen needs to learn manners.

Not nice. I was walking by this cafe a short while ago and the menu board outside said "Everything 2 for 1 including the girls". I went in to talk to the owner who also cooks. I felt it was insulting to half the population that frequents his business and to the girls who provide service to the customers. He told me to go to hell, he didn't care what I thought and get the hell out of his place.<br/>How professional. I will never eat here.

Bella Ginas has a fabulous gluten free orange and almond cake and a gluten free chocolate brownie that's just amazing!! Finding treats I'm able to eat is no easy task, thank you Bella Gina's for raising the bar in gluten free cooking. I can't wait to try the gluten free carrot cake! I hope to see you expand your talents into savoury options in the near future.

$11 for the smallest takeaway soup I've ever seen. Furthermore, it was very very ordinary. I have had better tin soup. Really disappointing. Perth food and service is so far behind the rest of the country it's frightening.

Love this place. I work nearby so am a regular. Contrary to previous reviews the current staff are delightful, and remember coffee quirks and names wonderfully.<br/><br/>Their delicious bacon and egg sandwich is a favourite, and I've also enjoyed their homemade soups and pasta dishes.<br/><br/>I can quite honestly say I haven't had a single negative experience after over a year of regularly frequenting this place. <br/><br/>And for the record no, I don't work there neither am I being sponsored for this review, lol!

Stingey. Went there to some luch. Got a chicken and avocado foccatia- the chicken and avocado was sliced so thin it was barely there! They sure know how to cost cut.. And to top it off, it was only half toasted... Not recommended...

No thanks !. I couldn't agree more. I found the communication skills of the waitresses to be something similar of a young monkey. The chef's personal hygiene was questionable and I found the cuttlery dirty. All and all unpleasant experience and not to be recommended.
