We had the barramundi fish (very fresh), sambal eggplant (nice chilli kick), hokkien noodles (yum!), iced dessert and 3 layer milk tea. We really enjoyed the meal and can't wait to go back to try other dishes.
After looking around at a few restaurants online I decided on this one specifically because it had cendol.
We came by for dinner with family and booked since we had a fairly larger group. There was plenty of street parking near the restaurant.
We grabbed a few things to share. The salted egg soft shell crab was just amazing. Crispy, crabby and eggy so it was really nice with rice or just by itself. The Hokkien mee and char kweh tiew were alright. The flavours were kinda there but missing a few things like the pork lard in the Hokkien Mee. It was the same for the Orange Honey Chicken, some flavours were there and it was ok as it. I didn't like the kungo po beef, as it seemed like it was missing flavours. The chendol was nice, fairly decent portion and really tasty.
Overall it was a nice place to eat at. The food and portion were good and service was also fairly good.
Ambience: Bright, tables well set up ready to go, mid size restaurant. Signage not so obvious. Good that they had a little table an a couple of chairs outside with their menus to remind you they are there and opened for business. 2hrs free parking on verges
Cleanliness: floors clean, table and chairs clean and well presented - menus on every settings
Service: waitresses very polite and hardworking
Taste/variety: tasted their Nasi Lemak, Hokkien noodles, chicken curry and rice, char kueyteow all tasty. Only their mamak mee goreng not up to standard ( does not taste like mamak type). Serve portion about just right, could be a little bigger. Love the ice kachang and chendol there esp on a very hot day.
Will definitely be back to try the other dishes (see photos of menu)
They are a branch of the Malaysian Delight restaurant on Manning Road only thing you get served faster here.
