Such friendly service. Greeting you on your way inside and out. There theme is very stand out, and their music is consistent with the korean vibe. I love how they have tiny bins on each table for chicken bones. And the “freaking hot” chilli sauce is FRICKING GOOD. I love how their advertisement of “spicy” lives up to their claim, unlike most restaurants, and yet tastes amazing without the bitterness. Also appreciate the addition of gloves as the sauce is quite sticky. The location is quite convenient too, being situated next to a bubble tea shop to settle the fire in your stomach! Will be going again when im in the “spicy food mood”. Highly recommend to people who can handle their chilli, or those who want to challenge themselves.
Ps. Make sure to roll up your sleeve and have a drink on standby
They serve tasty and unique Korean fried chicken. The boy who worked at the counter was friendly and helpful. However, be careful that there is a surcharge when using pay-pass service.
Where do you go when you've been drinking and have the munchies for something deep fried and smothered in cheese?
Where do you go when you WANT to get absolutely smashed while having something deep fried and covered in cheese?
My answer is usually NeNe chicken. With a range of chickeny goodness with varying flavours like Cheese, KimChi and Bulgogi, this is the type of place that university students and partygoers alike find appealing. While the deep-fried-everything might get to you after a while, the chicken burger and wraps are also pretty good. (The crab burger was somewhat disappointing but I'm not sure what I was expecting). It might be a little more expensive than you want it to be, but that's usually the case with most places in Perth. The soft-serve items are fairly interesting, but the main novelty of this chain are the korean spirits for sale with a meal. They do beer, yes, but Chamisul Soju really takes the cake. I'm not going to sugarcoat it here folks - a bottle of this with their meal and a lightweight drinker is perfectly pickled for a party. I personally enjoy the peach or green apple flavour, but only when I'm not driving.
I like the Korean chicken no Matter where I buy it, the prices here are not very big and the flavour are ok but too much sauce for me, the place is small was full but if you are eating alone is good to have those type of tables because you don't feel you are eating by yourself. I'll go back to try another flavour.
Whilst the chicken is juicy and the sauces are flavourful, I must say the price is a little on the expensive side considering that in South Korea, fried chicken joints are considered a fast food scene. I was expecting something more affordable but it isn't (4 flavoured pieces for $12.45).
The service is good, and food can come out fast depending on the crowd. My favourite sauce is bulgogi and snowing cheese ! I like that they give the plastic gloves to eat with (tho maybe not so great for environment). Toilet facilities are also clean and they have soft serves for dessert which is a plus !
One other interesting thing I have to point out is that the side dishes (coleslaw and pickled horse radish) that comes with the fried chicken does not get bigger in size even if you ordered the jumbo set. You'd think that the bigger your order, the bigger the sides but nope. Weird. Anyway, I would only come back if I am in a group as it's cheaper to share. It's not really something I would normally go for if I feel peckish.
I like this store best out of the chains - even though I haven't had their chicken yet this would be the store I try it as I feel like there's more attention to quality here. So far I've only had endless ice creams - they're massive, tasty and staff are so friendly plus they're half the price of any other ice cream place. Love it! The black sesame is great but the green tea is just delectable, it's not gritty matcha but a brewed green tea flavour with a beautiful balance. My fave!
Fried chicken cooked well, good service and nice interior. Flavours we found the best- Original, Bulgogi and Swicy. Not a big fan of Snowing Veg/Snowing Cheese due to the overpowering taste of flavouring powder. Same goes for the Tornado Potato (spiral); would have enjoyed this more without the snowing flavouring powder. Original soft shell crab wrap is nice; just a little pricey for a wrap with no sides. But, Green Tea & Black Sesame soft serve are a real treat. Even if we're not here for chicken, we're sometimes here for their mixed soft serve.
average tasting korean fried chicken, had tasted better ones which are more flavorful. don't mind coming back again but wouldn't purposely make a trip here for their fried chicken.
This is my Favorite Nene Chicken outlet in Perth. The owners are very friendly. I like the decor and set up. They also serve beer as well. Upstairs there are virtual darts to play. The $2.50 soft serves are a bargain. I get mixed green tea and sesame soft serve.
Yummy yummy chicken. Came with friends. Good food but portion a little small. Friendly staff and food come pretty fast. Environment is ok. Will be back 😊
