This place has everything I look for in a restaurant. It's cheap, conveniently located and clean, the food is delicious and cheap, and the staff/environment is amazing.
Such great and friendly staff and management! They easily cater to big tables, our favourites were the pious and mussels since it held the sauces so well!
Ended up trying this place after seeing friends go, food was quite good and beyond what I expected. Overall a really fun experience with a good atmosphere. A massive thing that made the experience for me was the waiter we had (George) who did such a great job of explaining the menu and making my friends at I feel super welcomed. Well done to him and thanks for the great service!!
Decided to try this place after seeing and hearing good reviews. Definitely did not disappoint! We started off the meal with half a dozen of oysters which tasted amazing with the tobasco sauce!
We then opted for the mixed bag: which had some crab, 3 pieces of crayfish, about 4 giant prawns, 3 corn, 3 potatoes, 4 mussels and some mini prawns. We opted for the shabang sauce and ‘i hear siren 000’ for the spiciness. My favourites were the crayfish, prawns and mussels! I absolutely loved them! The corn and potatoes were also a nice enhancement to the seafood bag. We love spicey, so the spiciness was just enough for us to handle.
We also ordered garlic bread as recommended by the boss to dip in the sauce from mixed seafood bag. It was definitely worth it! You definitely should order some bread or rice to dip in the sauce, it makes the meal much more filling! The boss was also kind enough to offer us a small portion of rice to eat with the sauce from the seafood bag. The rice also tastes really good with the seafood sauce!
We would definitely recommend coming here for some yummy seafood! For two people, the mixed bag, rice and garlic bread was just enough!! We were in a foodcoma by then! They supply gloves for you to dig into your meal, and you eat using the table - lined with paper. They have lovely customer service and they seek feedback from their customers. Their employees are also very lovely! They have heaps of indoor seating and a bathroom for you to wash your hands. There is also a drinks and dessert menu which you can choose from!
Lovely concept and great range of different seafood. The flavours definitely brought me back to the US.
I do hope in future that you use fresh seafood rather than frozen. The king crab is an exception as it’s not local however with the banana prawns you use, it would be great that you could use fresh king prawns, same with the frozen crayfish and also with the frozen New Zealand mussels, you could give our fresh black mussels a chance!
I came here with my sister and husband for my sister birthday. The staffs are super friendly. The food is delicious and succulent👌. Best seafood I've had so far. Everything is really fresh. Our favourite sauce is the garlic butter and sha-bang. 💣💣💣💥💥💥
The manager gave us a quick intro cause it was our first time. We are well looked after. They told us we supposed to use the table as our big plate. Just put everything on the table and mixed it all up. (Of course the table has special clothing 🙂). When we nearly finished, he turned on the birthday song, sang along, gave my sister a flower, a card and some gelato with a candle. It really made her day.
We really enjoyed our meal and definitely recommend to friends and family.👍
My friends and I absolutely love the shabang mix, you have to order extra corn to go with it; its amazing. Great food, friendly staff & good environment.
Such an amazing experience coming here. All the staff here are so lovely, welcoming and was so helpful in guiding us through the menu. The seafood is fresh and the sauces are so delicious. The garlic butter and shabang sauce was my favourite!
Best Cajun food in Sydney, definitely left feeling satisfied. The sauces were so packed full of flavour. Friendly owners, definitely trust their recommendations!
Dropped by with my girlfriend because of our friends recommendation. Got served by Sammy and he did an excellent job explaining the menu to us.
Got the Scampi with Garlic Kajun sauce and Mud Crab with the Sha Bang. I would highly recommend coming down here for a drink and dinner
Came for a birthday celebration and it thoroughly and enjoyable experience. We almost got a Cajun spice fatigue at the end of session as the portion was generous. We had the mixed bag, and a few other sides. The sides need to be bigger for what their priced at in my opinion. Overall it can get pricey dining here, but the experience was good too. Worth a try at the very least, and revisit if you like the spice and seafood. Staff was helpful with table order, requests and the birthday setup, although they seem under resourced. Keep it up!
Had such a great experience here for my birthday! I ordered the mixed bag of seafood with garlic butter and it was absolutely delicious! They didn't have any baby octopus but we were given extra prawns instead.
The service was great! The lovely staff members brought out my birthday cake, sang to me and even gifted me a rose which was a nice surprise!
Thank you Kickin' Inn Petersham for a lovely experience! My friends and I left feeling very satisfied and happy 😊
Will definitely come back again!
Really good Cajun style seafood boils. A little experience with eating shell fish is required to have a great time. Usually a really good restaurant for big groups.
It does tend to get messy so it's best you visit with people you're comfortable eating around.
Mud crabs in the shanbang sauce with a above acerage level of spice was my favorite!
One of the best place i ever been. The place where you don’t mind being your hands and clothes dirty 😂.
We ordered big mixed bags and shrimp martini thing but couldn’t finish it. The sauce is the killer. I would recommend trying it with steamed rice. Its worth every penny.
