Prahan is sorely lacking non pretentious food and coffee spots like Chef Richard. Consistently good fare, fresh ingredients, good coffee and value for money. A rare find so close to chapel street indeed.

We just had a great breakfast, we chose the breakfast special and also had 2 coffees. The service was friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere in the cafe. We’ve walked past countless times so glad we went in. Everything exceeded expectations.

We live nearby and come here very often because the food and coffee is consistently good. There are a lot of cafes in the area and this one is a lot better than many of the others, despite having lower prices.

This is my favourite cafe. Good, honest food served quickly by the masterful and friendly owner/chef. This low-key cafe is brilliant value and a refreshing change from gimmicks and activated charcoal everything!

I lived next door to this spot for 2yrs before trying it. Good cheap eats, and perfectly cooked basic fare. Now I eat brekky here 2 or 3x a week.

$10 special with 2eggs, avo and bacon. Cant go wrong. And the owner is really lovely

Chef Richard: Cafe & restaurant.
Uses Jasper coffee (organic).
I am a high volume specialty coffee barista.
I regularly enjoy visiting as the food is excellent while the service is exceptional.
Average price of a meal is $10.00 and extras are under $4.00.
I recommend it highly as Richard is persistent with creating a quality to suit all customers.
Decide for yourself, it is worth the visit.

great cafe. the staff are so friendly and remember my usual orders. the coffee is great and the food is just as good, if not better. it’s right outside a tram stop and whenever the tram is right there, they will make my coffee as quick as possible to make sure i make it on time.

BEST breakfast in Melbourne Period. $10 all day breakfast special is AMAZING. My partner and I are from WA on holiday and finally found a beautiful quiet atmosphere to enjoy a coffee with breakfast before our day out. We will be coming back daily for the rest of our stay!
