We did the valentines day fiesta and it was amazing! Fresh ingredients and delicious food. Service was lovely and staff were attentive and happy to answer our questions about the food. Highly recommend the empanadas with tomatillo sauce!
Loved this place! Great food with heaps of flavour and drinks were amazing. Will definitely be back!
Exquisite food and drink at this new Prahran gem. Reasonably priced for great South American food. Service was very attentive and friendly and menu items were not vast but enticing enough to satisfy the palate. We tried sweet potato & chorizo quesadillas, Carne Empanadas and also shared the Chipotle quinoa salad. Fantastic!! Very tasty and filling. Great place to chill and experience authentic South America food and drink.
Great little gem offering lot of vegetarian options. Very friendly service and amazing food and cocktails.

Loved this little gem in Prahran. The highlights for me were certainly the drinks, quesadillas and empanadas. Flavour packed and well seasoned. The cocktails were so well balanced and easy to drink. I’m definitely making this one of my locals for a drink and feed!
Absolutely loved this place! They had such a variety on their menu you just can’t go wrong here. My personal favourite was their leek blue corn quesadilla and make sure to try their horchata cocktail.
Sexy new bar Casa NOM is bringing mezcal and sophisticated Latin American eats to the heart of Prahan.
We had a beautiful feast of Sweet Potato, Chorizo & Sweet Corn Quesadillas ($18), Blue Corn Loaded Chilaquiles ($15), Carne Chilli Arepas with Guacamole & Cheese ($20) and Yucatan Plantain Croquettes ($14).
The menu is ~80% Gluten Free with the croquettes being the only non-GF item we got making it great for couples or groups with dietary requirements. I loved the use of unusual ingredients which made for really interesting dishes, for examine their guacamole is made from spring peas!
I am still dreaming about the arepas which were addictively delicious, and the gorgeous cocktails we had to wash it all down. If you’re a fan of Latin American food, wine or spirits you have to check them out!!
I went to this place last night. Really liked the cosy ambience and the music. Ordered three different things from menu and all of them were really delicious and bit different than the usual. Staff was responsive and welcoming.
We had the pleasure to be invited along to the sleek and impressively stocked Casa Nom bar & restaurant in Prahran. Just around the corner from the Prahran station this venue has seating for around 30 and is cosy and intimate.
Without a doubt we had to true the cocktails which delivered on flavour. My Coco Pomelo Sour was an amazing mod on a piscina sour with the inclusion of coconut infused piece and ruby grapefruit. Based on the cocktails we had today you can’t go wrong with these.
Food wise Casa Nom stayed true to its South American heritage with a relatively short menu with many vegan options and majority GF that was good to see. We tried the blue corn loaded chilaquiles which was vegan with the option to beef it up should you desire. I enjoyed this dish, the vegan cheese and the subtle flavours within. I was also a real fan of the Arepas cornbread with a beef chilli and spring pea guacamole. Again this dish was subtle in spice level as I have come to expect from Colombian food.
I was a little disappointed with the empanadas which I found a little dry even when served with a tasty salsa verde and while I expected the plantain croquettes to be quite starchy and dense I found these quite flavourless and definitely in need of dressing up.
Dessert wise we couldn’t resist sharing the Alfajores which was a light almost meringue styled cookie filled with the very caramel dulce de leche. A very very sweet dessert so a good one to share between two or be prepared for that sugar rush.
Overall a great little venue for cocktails and an really vegetarian, vegan, gluton free friendly menu.
Prahran’s newest Mexican kid on the block! We stumbled upon this place while we were running errands - their unique logo and branding caught our eye and we were drawn to it!
We actually stopped to grab some quick tequila shots and were convinced that this place is legit when it comes to Mexican food based on the tequila range that they have on their shelf.
We decided to order the pulled pork tacos that comes in 3’s. It was sweeter than other tacos you can find in Melbourne.
We would definitely be back as this place really intrigued us to try their full range of Mexican food on their menu.
Walked passed this new bar and decided to stopped by for a drink, good selection of tequila and mezcal and very chill atmosphere. Worth a visit☺️
Underappreciated South American bar and tapas hotspot.
Casa NOM has an extensive list of Columbian, Chilean, and Argentinean cocktails and spirits. Everything from Mezcal to some inventive margarita specials. The prices reflect the quality of the bar.
Food is another gem. Not a large variety, but specialising in the meals they offer. The empanadas are crunchy and well cooked and the chilli topped cheese cakes are jawdropping. The black corn nacho bowl with vegan cheese gives a classic a premium twist.
Service was great, too. Major issues are the small size of the place and they do not accept MasterCard. Prices aren't cheap, but you're really.paying for quality here.
Go out for a South American treat at Casa NOM.
I’ve been here numerous times now, and you’ll see why. Casa Nom is a sleek and sexy restaurant/bar, love the green marble countertops and it’s a great date night venue. The cocktails and food are a beautiful representation of Latin American cuisine - my favourites have to be the empanadas, choripan, corn, taco fries. For cocktails, quite enjoy the Coco Platano Colado, Spiked Hibiscus or Horchata and Coco Pomela Sour.
