I am a tough critic.
Very impressed with this place. The food and service was outstanding, the decor is perfect and the owner really knew his cocktail stuff.
We sampled nearly everything in the menu because it was that good. The chimichurri hanger steak and the fries with chipotle sauce were the standouts, although everything was original and full of flavour.

I cannot rate this place any higher! From the super trendy interior to the friendly owner and staff, this is place is sure to wow and offer a seriously great experience. The food, while small we had 4 dishes, and we were very full afterwards. Honestly, get a group together and book a booth! The drinks are perfect, something for everyone. The owner is very attentive and cares about everyone that comes in the door and will go above and beyond to do what he can to give you a great experience. Highly rate the chicken wings! Wow! I still dream about them! Check these guys out!

All in all, amazing food, incredible service, I actually cannot fault it! An absolute hidden gem.
Whaler bar is a really stylish spot – I couldn’t get enough of the interior fitout, I think it is really tasteful. We came early on a Saturday evening and it was surprisingly quiet, but I imagine it is a place that gets busier later in the evening.
We snacked on the (fried) pickles over a few wines, which were delicious.
The wine list is good - the Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc was great, although this seems to no longer be on the menu.
Nothing to fault. We will be back for some cocktails soon.

We've visited a few times, and highly likely
to visit and recommend Whaler over and over in the future. The bar staff are amazing, their drinks taste the same every time they're made, and the food standard is excellent. From the olde bay fries to the slow cooked fall off the bone pork ribs, food to go back for again and again... See you soon Whaler.
Such a great cocktail bar! Love that they focus on classics and old school drinks. Staff were unbelievably helpful and accommodating - not to mention knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back and try the food, cocktails were on point.
Drop by here on weekdays last week. Cozy small bar with friendly bartender. Nicely decor and clean. However, the drinks could be a bit quicker.
Cool place to chill out and relax with friends, very well designed. Great food, great service. Friendly staff will definitely be going back!
