This place is unreal!!! The food is so authentic and reasonably priced!!! You absolutely must try this place, don’t let its location fool you this is just like Thailand!!!! Takes me back every time I eat here!!!

Will be our new regular. Huge dining area, friendly staff, comfortable seating, the whole fish in garden is recommended and the pad see ew is smokey and flavoursome. Very happy with this find!

I stumbled upon this place since I had a voucher for a 'Buy One Main Course Get One Free' in the Entertainment Book. Phon Pi Sai is located just on the outskirts of Reservoir Station. There is plenty of nearby parking available near the library if needed.
My brother and I were quite astonished at how well-kept the restaurant was. It was very clean and spacious. The decor was simple yet elegant. It was a fine balance of traditional Thai ornaments and fandangles presented in a modern Western atmosphere. Our order was taken by a very friendly lady who resonated warmth and class. Everything was off to a pleasing start.
Our food arrived after a long waiting time. The wait was well worth it. The Red Duck Curry was fantastic. Flavours of the Orient oozed pleasantly along our palette. The duck pieces were succulent and tasty. Every component of the dish was cut up to be bite-sized and a pleasure to eat. The Papaya Salad was fresh and a great blend of sweet and sour. The ace of the dishes we ordered was the Pla Manow - steamed fish with spring onion, coriander, chilli and
garlic lemon juice sauce. The fish was a great size and well steamed. It was undoubtedly fresh and tender. The sauce was a splendid combination of zing, zest and sourness. We lapped it up to the very last drop. This sauce was definitely not something that I could make at home by myself.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Phon Pi Sai. The food, ambiance and staff made it a delightful experience and I would happily return here again. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area for Thai cuisine - it will not disappoint.

Overall we were pretty impressed. The decor is a little sterile but the food was great and the service was excellent. Dinner for 4 with about 7 beers only came to $130 too so pretty reasonably priced, especially for Thai.
This restaurant is conveniently located opposite the train station. I had a craving for pad thai so decided to pop in and grab take away.

I decided to grab the take away pad thai, it was quite tasty and they were quite generous with the serving so it was a very filling meal, apart from the big chuncks of cabbage.
The service was great and as I was waiting for my meal the waitresses offered me water and a comfy seat.
Hidden gem for thai food in reservoir. Granted is is not particularly busy, but the service is outstanding, food comes and promptly and the value for money is terrific. Always have had and will recommend getting the banquet menu. More than enough and they even let you take away the remainder. The banana fritter and coconut meat dessert is amazinng! It can get a bit quite when there's not many people there, but if anything it lets you enjoy the food itself and any company you may have. Highly recommended

This is my local, I've eaten here heaps and everything has always been delicious (try the red duck curry, it's to die for!). The ambience is nice with low lighting and it's never crowded. Highly recommend to get yourself over to this joint and try!
Nice looking and clean decor. Friendly staff. Food is great - we could taste the freshly made curry paste flavours in the curry. Reasonable priced for the generous portions. We ordered 2 curries for 3 people and leftover filled 2 full take-away boxes - GENEROUS! good location on main road, street parking in the front available. I'd probably eat dessert elsewhere, but that's just a personal choice.
Best food I have had in a long time and closest to real authentic thai food I have had in Australia. I lived in south east asia for years and am fussy too! Fresh and beautiful ingredients, my 83 year old mother was raving about it also
