It has been a staple for myself and my family and friends for five years, we travel 50mins to get the best Laksa and the service is above and beyond. Will recommend to anyone who loves Laksa and good Vietnamese food!
We were so so hungry, so we stopped for a quick Vietnamese feed and so glad we did. Quan!? Haven’t been here for years. I think the owner has changed, but it is absolutely fantastic asian food! Love the chicken ribs always. Much much better, more modern style. And awesome desserts selection. Good! Keep it up.
Had been done years ago. Went back this week. Awesome for a quick meal,was full which was a good sign,service was attentive and sincere.Good choice on menu.
We had peking duck pancake, crispy beef with chilli, coleslaw chicken, sizzling duck with Mongolian sauce etc.
Anyways. We had a great meal. My kids love the desserts. We will be back.
Go to restaurant for Vietnamese. Do not be overwhelmed by basic look and decor. It delivers where it counts with food quality. Can be loud and noisy;). The bonus is the small size of the cheque:). Added bonus is BYO with a grog shop across the road if you forget:)
Another Victoria St staple. Fairly speedy service and tasty food. We did order a beef dish but they brought out a pork one instead. The duck rice paper rolls were very good.
Simply delicious Vietnamese. We tried the 88 branch in St Kilda and was very impressed so when we were told that this branch was the original we definitely need to pay it a visit. We started the evening with the tamarind prawn which was smashing good - the prawns were fresh, with firm meat and strong smokiness. The sauce was delectable - we love the tangy and sweet tamarind taste.
The second dish was the chicken ribs - which again was absolute yum. The meat inside was moist but the coating outside was crunchy and well-coated with delicious sauce. We even think it taste better than Gami! The batter definitely a product of some sercret home-made ingredients or techniques - it was really special.
The last dish was the red wine beef which was also great. The accompanying sauce was tasty and the beef was gave a light smoky hint. Overall, it's definitely one of the better Vietname restaurants in Melbourne.
Went to this place after work for a quick and cheap meal. I ordered the special fried rice and it was really delicious and filling. Also it only costed $10. Good service and overall a good experience and will happily go here again for a quick, cheap but most importantly, tasty dinner.
This has got to have the best beef in vine leaves in Victoria St.... And then there's the chicken ribs... To die for!!
Then there's the coconut rice... The service is excellent and you can see the locals love it .... Have been back 3 times and it's consistently good
Just came here for the Chicken ribs! As they were highly rated by mates. They weren't wrong. Just like how mumma use to make. Amazing sweet chilli sauce topped on crispy fried chicken ribs. Really bought me back to my childhood. I will be back!
This is one of the more established and better quality restaurants on Victoria Street, serving up the usual suspects at least as competently as most for some dishes, and better than most for some. Can get very busy, and when it does it is almost impossible to hear anything - which can be good or bad depending on who you go with! Buzzing vibe, friendly staff.
Highly recommend the Vietnamese coleslaw, in particular the rare beef with tamarind sauce - bonza!
Peking Duck Rolled Pancakes. Hmmmmmmm. Couldn't finish the pork buns but they were delicious as well. Just had entree size but huge serves. Great on a warm night with the shopfront windows open to the trees opposite. Excellent staff too.

Very nice chinese/viet fusion resto in Richmond! Interior is basically casual but dont get thrown off as we 3 found the food very good!!! The quail was amazing with a med spicy succulent sauce! Had the flaming prawns which was super delicious & the sizzling pepper beef! The Viet iced coffee with condensed milk was one of the best! Service exceptional...highly recommend this place!
