We thoroughly enjoyed Steak night for mum's birthday last Wednesday 10th October. Thanks to the great waiter who looked after us so well and cut the Birthday cake!!! We loved it. Great Porterhouse Steak and glass of wine for $25.00 We'll be back!!!

There are so many places out there that have Sunday roast on the menu. But let’s be real, not everyone can nail it. I can gladly say I thoroughly enjoyed this one at @princealfredrichmond not just because it was so beautifully presented but was a real explosion of flavours💥💥 The lamb meat fell off the bone, mixed with that delicious gravy and served with lightly roasted veggies. That’s perfection for me!!😍 Couldn’t really fault any of the dishes we ordered either. The Salt & pepper calamari, a classic pub nibble went with well with the squid ink aioli. And that Ricotta gnocchi, oh my goodness!! Light, pillowy pasta that just melts in the mouth with the kick of parmesan and pine nuts. The cocktails were so refreshing and pretty to look at. I loved my Dark and Stormy made with spiced rum. I was also surprised how amazing the pizza was as I usually am so particular where I eat them. We ordered the Sausage and it had a thin, crisp crust(just how I like it) loaded with meat goodness and CHEESE. Finally ended this feast with their signature Lemon curd cheesecake which had such a great balance. I hate overly sweet desserts so this just ticked all my boxes. The only thing I was worried about was the food baby in the making!!🙊😄 I’m usually not a pub food kind of girl but would highly recommend checking them out!! I’m going to stop talking now and let my pics do the talking.

Delicious chicken schnitzel, very generous size, and a great vibe in the beer garden

we had a fairly large group here for my sisters birthday tonight. Ordering was straight forward and through a QR code. Best steak sandwich I’ve ever had and if you have room for dessert, 100% would recommend the sticky date pudding! The manager and staff are incredibly lovely and grateful for our patience on a busy night. Thanks PAs.

To start with the staff are incredible and very friendly which makes the difference when finding a great spot to relax. The Alfred has a cracking selection of IPAs but the food here is simply remarkable. Having been here several times I can honestly say I have never been disappointed as I work through the menu. If you want my advice I would definitely come here for the steaks as they’ve been the best I’ve had in Melbourne and Wednesday steak night will make you cry with happiness at the quality and quantity for such a small fee. To top it all off the bar it’s self feels like an old English country pub inside and the beer garden is comfortably elegant.

Enjoyed the $18 Parma night sitting by the fire. Good size and tasty Parma however the chips and coleslaw could have been a bit better

Lovely spacious pub with a beautiful outdoor dining area. Food is decent and has good portions but not overly noteworthy - a great place for drinks and some pub food or snacks.
