Review Fargo And Co - Richmond

Perfect place for a girls day! Bottomless brunch was amazing value! Staff brought multiple cocktail jugs to the table and serves of potato gems and the most delicious chicken and waffles!! There was 9 different frozen margarita flavours and so many lolly mix ins. Also so many cool spots for a selfie or group pic. Service was great, especially by Ally. She went above and beyond for us, so friendly and warm and a great asset to have in your company! Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Im just gonna share my honest opinion I came here for a birthday and we came for the bottomless brunch...it was pretty good. The food was good The dj was good The frose drinks are pretty good. Now I minus the one star because our big group would order drinks and it would take like forever to come ...luckily they have the self serve frosé drinks there for you to help yourself while you wait. Other than that it was a good experience.

Every experience has been Great! Must try the golden gaytime cocktail! The lychee one is also yummy.

Went to Fargo and Co with a few friends for bottomless brunch. Was such a great experience. Lively atmosphere, great music, staff were so friendly and the food was AMAZING. It was also nice to see all kind of age groups. There were a variety of drinks and food to choose from. It was a great experience. I highly recommend Fargo and Co for your next Boozy Bottomless Brunch!

This place has an amazing vibe, their rooftop gives a classic city view, go for their one of many cocktail and crispy chips for a prefect date night! :)

Fargo and co is an amazing place to go for a night out with friends. The music is constantly popping with songs you can dance and sing your heart out to. The people working behind the bar were super friendly and happy to help me decide on a drink when I couldn’t decide. This place is super clean as well as a place you feel safe. Would highly recommended this place!

Had an amazing night out with my friends here! we got the $39 pp bottomless frose deal and it was SUCH good value. It is quite a busy place, but we were seated up on the rooftop, so it wasn't crowded and it was so beautiful. So nice on a hot, Summer night. Loved all the staff, they all had such good vibes. Also have to mention the fried chicken - so good.

We did the BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH! It was such a great day, great value! You get jugs of Alcohol and amazing food. Great size. You get your moneys worth. Very attentive! Personally want to thank Alex, he gave us such a great greeting and service. Especially during this time. Made us feel so welcomed and understood. You can’t get a better staff member than that. :):):):):)

Bottomless fried chicken is always a good idea!<br/><br/>We tried their bottomless fried chicken on a wednesday night at their rooftop bar and it was lovely.<br/><br/>It was such good value as you get a whole plate of fried chicken with some greens and bread with butter to go with<br/><br/>Their fried chicken has a light crunchy batter and the flavours were good. Reslly enjoyed our meal there

Went for bottomless wings, they definitely don’t understand the ‘bottomless’ aspect, I think they ran out of wings because we were definitely on the rations. The quality of the wings was high when they finally came. We waited 45 mins for the first round of wings, then another 45 for second serving that was half the size of the first (6 wings between 3 men). This was all despite constantly asking for more wings and the waiters promising they were 5 mins away, the lies hurt as much as the lack of wings. After complaining about this we were given a big plate of chicken, which I think confirms they don’t have enough wings for this event as there were other (better) cuts on the plate along with some wings. Didn’t leave hungry, but probably would have if we didn’t complain.
Hello. Imnikki
3 words, say it and I'm yours. Bottomless fried chicken! Yes, you heard me right. Every Wednesday from 4pm onwards, Fargo & Co offers bottomless fried chicken for $25 per person, with a beer or bubbles included. For the vego or vegans out there, fear not as you can swap the chicken for fried broccoli.<br/><br/>Those fried chicken really needs to be tasted to be truly appreciated. The batter coating the juicy and tender thighs and wings were just sensational. With hints of paprika and parsley, plus other herbs and spices that we failed to detect because we were too busy chowing down, the batter was reminiscence of what stuffing tastes like. Except this was a thin crisped layer of stuffing-like batter coating a chicken. Heaven is indeed a place on earth.<br/><br/>The fried broccoli was incredible too. Coated in the same batter, and despite being fried, the broccoli retained a bite to it while being soft enough as to taste raw. The salad was a hit with my friend, and this says a lot seeing that fried chicken was also present on the table. The hot chips were just as excellent too.<br/><br/>So satisfied we were with our meal that we couldn't stop talking about the fried chicken the next day. Thank you for having us.

Popped in on Saturday afternoon for cocktails. Had a great lively vibe upstairs with live music and a young crowd. We easily got found a table however you'll need to book if you want to secure a seat after 5.30pm. Good range of cocktails and they also have a few on tap. I'm keen to try their bottomless brunch.

Melbourne Cup Bottomless Brunch<br/> <br/>I absolutely love a bottomless brunch and on any opportunity I will get a group of friends together for one. Due to this I am quite selective and critical of them now. In terms of Bottomless Brunches this was not my favourite but it was definitely worth the cost.<br/> <br/>I think what this Bottomless Brunch was lacking, was an element of ambience and the drink selection.<br/>The selection of drinks was very basic – Beer, Prosecco, Mimosas, Prosecco and Spritz.<br/> <br/>There was a nice choice of seating between indoors and outdoors. Outside was also a musician singing and playing guitar. This was really lovely for the beginning but as time went on and we had a few more drinks, it would have been nice finishing with something a bit more. I have in the past been to quite a few that have an area for dancing or end the brunch with playing some bigger and better beats that will get everyone up and loud.<br/> <br/>The choice of brunch options was a highlight for me. The best of the bunch was definitely the Espresso Martini Waffles. This was really impressive. What I have learnt from Bottomless Brunches is that generally the food is very basic in terms of flavour and presentation. However, Fargo and Co absolutely delivers! The waffles were incredible and all of us were digging in trying to eat more of each others before it was all gone. The egg and bacon burger that comes with potato gems was also an absolute winner!
Some Bunee Loves Food
4.5. Really nice place to chill with friends - with a variety of drinks on offer at the bar and some comfy sofa/couches. There are some tall tables and chairs for dining as well.<br/><br/>On Wednesday evenings, they do a bottomless fried chicken deal - where you can eat all the fried chicken you want for $25pp! Great deal!<br/><br/>We did exactly that and had the first round of fried chicken come out with hot sauces and secret sauce, as well as some pickles and white bread and butter. The fried chicken had some seasoning on it already, which can be a bit too salty, but when dipped in the soury/spicy sauce as well as having it with the sides such as bread and slaw, it balances the flavours out.<br/><br/>For the vegetarian option, they have crispy fried buffalo broccoli, which is actually really nice and crispy! They are very addictive with the sauces!<br/><br/>We had had a bowl of mac and cheese with cheezel crumb - and surprisingly it had a chilli kick to it which was nice.<br/><br/>We finished off with a nice refreshing glass of lemon lime bitters to wash it all down and we rolled out the door! It was so filling and we got KO'ed after only one round of fried chicken - couldn't eat more! haha<br/><br/>Thank you for a super filling meal, Fargo and Co.

Fargo & Co is located in the premises of a former bank, the building hosts beautiful Art Deco features with a lovely high ceiling (complete with giant chandelier), decretive mosaic tiles surround the bar, this venue is the complete package.<br/><br/>Tonight we were excited to try the bottomless chicken at the upbeat Fargo & Co in Richmond. $25 for unlimited fried chicken & one beverage (a steal). Or $45 for bottomless chicken & drinks for 2 hours.<br/><br/>We opted for the bottomless chicken and to buy by the glass so we could make the most of the Happy hour cocktails.<br/><br/>With a full range of spirits behind the bar, several beers on tap, delicious bubbles by the glass I feel spoilt for choice this evening.<br/><br/>Our fried chicken arrived, a huge selection of crunchy yet succulent drumsticks and wings, three dipping sauces, sweet and sour pickeled veg, an absolutely to die for tangy slaw , a clever Mac & cheese with a hint of heat and tinge of smoke, served alongside thick fresh slices of soft bread with the largest salted quinelled butter I have ever seen. This is so much more than just fried chicken! We also got to try the Buffalo broccoli, this cheesey, crunchy, salty ensemble was an absolute winner. <br/><br/>After our extremely filling dinner we decided to wash it all down with a couple of cocktails, my Fargo spritz was the perfect balance of sweet and sour citrus and the espresso martini was s great nightcap of smooth coffee without being too sweet.<br/><br/>Thanks so much for having us in.

Went to the bottomless brunch 11am-2pm and ordered the fried chicken and waffles. The waffles were to die for, fluffy and consistent, on top of that was the fried chicken which was succulent and tender! An amazing meal!

Came here for a friend’s 20th birthday, and the service and ambience were excellent! It’s a very chic restaurant; there were 30+ of us and we were seated comfortably and it’s really spacious as well. The waiters and waitresses gave excellent service so was happy with the setup! <br/><br/>However the food was very average. We got the feed us set menu. Starters were great, we enjoyed the fried chicken. However I’m guessing it was the “crispy haloumi, pear, honey & lemon” which we ordered (looked like tofu), was too salty on the inside and too sweet on the outside! Crispy chicken and arancini were good though. <br/><br/>Grilled chicken was alright — they were decent. Cheesy corn and mac and cheese were quite bland in my opinion.. I felt like I could cook better if I’m honest. “iceberg wedge, herbs, pickled red onion & lemon dressing” wasn’t done very well either.. I don’t rmb the name of my dessert and can’t find it on the menu as well but I rmb I couldn’t finish it either cause it just didn’t taste pleasant. <br/><br/>Truth be told I wasn’t immensely disappointed that we went to this restaurant because the setup and the vibe was great! I’d recommend this place if you just want to go for some cocktails or drinks; it’s a nice place to catch up with friends. I’m just not the biggest fan of the food but worth a shot!

Overall a very good experience that exceed me and my partners experience. First round we had the notorious espresso and the pornstar martini. Both amazing, the espresso is rich but so flavoursome and complex, if you love espresso martini’s this is the thing to try!! <br/>Pornstar martini, extremely yummy and amazing. <br/>Need to go back very soon!
Sarah
Pretty chilled for after work drinks - rooftop is nice during the warmer days and night <br/>

I'd heard a lot about the amazing bottomless brunch here & I was looking forward to it. Overall, it was nice but not my favourite.<br/><br/>The interior is gorgeous. I loved the rooftop area which was so open. I liked how the bar was walk up, and we were seated on high tables. It allowed a lot of freedom of movement to socialise with friends over the 3 hours. There was live music playing which was great but a tad loud.<br/><br/>For the 3 hour bottomless brunch the drinks were free flow & one meal was included.<br/>Drinks: I enjoyed rose, mimosa, prosecco, spritz & moscato. The drinks felt and tasted a bit weaker than I would have liked.<br/>Bowl: I had a lovely bowl full of black rice, avocado, kimchi, pumpkin. The poached egg was a bit overcooked but the overall bowl flavour was nice.<br/>Potato gems: This was an extra my friend ordered and they were DELICIOUS! Super crispy, the seasoning salt on top was amazing. Highly recommend<br/><br/>Nice staff at the bar taking orders

Oh. My. Gosh. We had delivery from their sub-restaurant called “Dirty Birdie” and I can hand on my heart say this was one of the best fried chicken I’ve EVER HAD. <br/><br/>The tenders were cooked that well they were crunchy, juicy and FULL to the brim of flavour. We had the maple butter one and a hot style and matched with some of the most delicious mash and gravy ever. <br/><br/>Their chips were a 5/5 and their sauces and the buffalo fried broccoli was a welcome addition of awesome broccoli fried in a salty crumb. <br/><br/>Definitely not the healthiest meal but after a long day out on the red wines it was hand on my heart the best fried chicken.

Such a great place. Bottomless brunch is great value and staff is super friendly. Food was great too! Such a good option for a birthday or event. Highly recommend!

Had an absolute ball at Fargo & Co!<br/>After a few mimosas deep we went to order and we got the Smashed Avo, poached eggs, goats cheese, pumpkin on Gluten Free & a Cranberry & Turkey Bagel with sweet potato crisps! <br/><br/>Delicious food which complimented the drinks, which were;<br/>- Mimosas <br/>- Prosecco<br/>- Aperol Spritz <br/>And of course I had to try all of these haha!<br/><br/>I most enjoyed the vibe at this place! Everyone was happy and buzzing! A great location to celebrate a birthday or an excuse to catch up with the girls and dress up a little!<br/><br/>Definitely recommend if you’re tossing up giving it a go!

This place was very busy, the staff at the door did not have everything under control. There wasn’t table service, staff were clueless, food was simple and underwhelming with a very limited brunch menu and alcohol was below average. Fargo and co did however have some cute spots to take photos. I won’t be returning.

Heading in for their bottomless brunch death by chocolate weekends in April I had high expectations. Opening at 11am with lines waiting outside is always a good sign. Interior is bright and inviting drawing in the sunlight. Unfortunately didn't venture upstairs, leaving more to see next time. With bottomless brunch for $55 I had a few proseccos and the gorgeous choc chip and berry muesli in choc eggy. Was delicious and looked restaurant quality presentation. Only downside was that the easter drinks weren't included in the bottomless brunch. Definitely recommend you hurry in while it lasts.
KITCHFIT
Classy yet funky<br/><br/>Came here only to stop for a drink before going out for dinner.<br/><br/>The staff were really friendly and very helpful with options and knowledge of drink options.<br/><br/>The downstairs space is open and the atmosphere is vibing, with the inclusion of a live DJ.<br/><br/>Again, I didn’t eat the food here so I can’t speak on that :)

Fargo boozy brunch was great value and surprisingly very tasty. I went for the smashed avo and added a side of bacon. Genuinely one of the best smashed avos I’ve had in ages. And can’t complain about the unlimited spritzes, aperols, proseccos and bloody Mary’s.

I came here for my friend’s birthday today (Saturday). I like the bottomless brunch - which allows groups of people to chat over some brunch as well as some drinks (eg. Fargo’s sprits and mimosas). The atmosphere was wonderful, thanks to the interior decoration that was vintage yet clean and chic. I especially liked the al fresco courtyard which showed views over Richmond. Thanks to Melbourne’s unpredictable weather, it randomly poured rain at one point and the venue was able to turn on their retractable roof to cover us. Luckily it wasn’t needed for long as the sun came back out to let us enjoy the rest of the day.<br/><br/>My main critique would be about the food itself. It’s clear Fargo & Co has nailed its ambience and drinks, but the food was not at the same level. For the food to be $20 each (in the bottomless brunch menu), one would expect the quality and hopefully the portions to match. The ‘smashed avocado’ was standard but the poached egg was overcooked, the ‘soy chai pannacotta’ was the runniest I have ever seen (my fork was not able to salvage much of it towards the end) whilst the fruits and sorbet amounted to very little. The ‘southern fried chicken’ was very rich when combined with the maple, honeycomb & butter whilst the waffle fries probably turned out to be the best - I could taste how deep-fried it was though. This one is best shared amongst a few people rather than eaten alone. We also ordered some coffee (latte and cappuccino) which were okay but probably better to have when not drinking alcohol...<br/><br/>Overall, I found staff to be friendly, service to be prompt, the environment to be spacious and uplifting while the food was okay but not really worth the bucks. Drinks are nice (but there’s a limited selection to choose from in the bottomless brunch menu).

Escaped a sweltering day in Richmond by enjoying some refreshing cocktails downstairs in the lovely cool air con. Ordered the chicken burger and karage cauliflower. Cauliflower was delicious however the burger had a little too much sauce but was generally tasty. Would come back for cocktails again; order the "Money, money, money" 😉
Michelle
Bottomless brunch was good- the drink choices are moscato, prosecco and spritz. The food was pretty average and quite small but $55 seemed reasonable considering it's bottomless drinks. However, it should be noted that they will refuse service after the brunch session concludes. My friends and I decided to hang out downstairs and have some food as it was practically empty. When we went to get a drink we were told it was "the in-house policy hunny" that they do not serve drinks to patrons from brunch. Huh? How strange, considering we spent over $750 between us and suddenly we are no longer welcome. It should be clearly written in their T&Cs that this would be the case as we would have considered going elsewhere. When we queried this with the manager he had no idea why we were refused service and seemed shocked himself but the damage was done so we left on a sour note. Not impressed.
I Have A Reservation
This place looks like it has been somewhat carefully designed, however, the table surface was exceedingly sticky (not just one or two!), which was such a let down.. not to mention that the fries tasted weird.

Dropped in here for a beer this arvo. It’s a nice bar in a big ground floor w a upstairs bar too. It’s been a pop up shop a number of times busy it’s been a bar for a while now. <br/><br/>The service was friendly and the happy had $7 schooners of any beer on tap. Happy days, I just wish it was Friday hahaha <br/><br/>Overall I was pretty impressed w this place.
Nani Eats Coffee World Tour
A+ for decor. Extra points for espresso martini on tap or, you can have an espresso martini shaken before your eyes by the friendly bar staff. Good beer/wine selection. No Midori. Good music from 2000s and onward. Impressive toilets... and that’s about all. Catering for a private function was a little skinny on elegance and generosity; too messy for finger food. Service staff were apologetic enough for the catering short comings. Many guests stepped next door for Chinese. Security staff were overwhelming and intrusive from the moment we walked through the door - lowering our jovial tone for the night. I’d like to come back for lunch to see what the regular menu presents.

Had to come here for a birthday<br/>Couldn’t help but think the place looked like a Kmart with a bar attached. It’s just your typical user friendly Melbourne ~summer venue~<br/>Initially felt sorry for the staff and looked past the issues around the food and service, but gave up and can honestly say it truly was bad<br/>Would I spend $55 for ‘bottomless brunch’ here for another friends birthday? Nah
Sarah
The place goes off on Sundays for bottomless brunch! Most of the dishes looked pretty small but the smashed avo with greens was a decent serving.
Sarah Gordon
Went here as a celebration for a birthday and had the bottomless brunch. The food servings are tiny and only mimosas and proseccos as the drinks you have to have a few to make it worth it. Would not recommend the puffed rice salad... soggy rice bubbles, also got the cornflake chicken waffles but there was a lot lacking. The atmosphere and company was definitely better than the bottomless brunch items
Gastrology
Every Monday to Wednesday, Fargo and Co are spicing up your mid-week meals with delicious bottomless bites available 4pm-9pm.<br/><br/>You can seriously snack yourself silly with a delectable chef’s selection of dishes served share style, for you and your gang at a mere $30 per person. This golden falafels served with zataar, yoghurt and pickled cabbage; charred corn tostadas with jalapeno and queso fresco; fried broccoli with caesar dressing and aged parmesan; and (our personal favourite) cornflake fried chicken served with fried egg sauce and breakfast radish. It’s all good.

We went last night (Friday night) having a great time until my partner walked out at midnight to answer a phone call because it was his birthday and then the 3 security guards (1 female and 2 male) did not let him back in! I understand you may have a lock out at 1am but gees it’s someone’s birthday who was there from 8pm that night. He left all his friends and belonging inside and they would not let him back in to tell people he was going. I understand if you shut at 1am, not letting new people in but seriously someone that was already there from 8pm and had family and friends inside is a joke. The security did not even warn him if he walks out he wouldn’t be allowed back in and were so rude and that’s why arguments start in places like this! I would never recommend people to attend and management should be embarrassed. There was myself and 2 other females telling security it was his birthday. You should be ashamed. You ruined a lot of people’s night.

Hip new spot to hit Swan St. Love the open-aired 2nd level and the fact that there are Espresso Martini's on tap. I'd come early(ish) or book a table if you're hoping to have food or meet a group for drinks in order to avoid being squashed like a sardine over the weekends.

Picked it off Broadsheet, who would say no to Bottomless Mimosas or Prosecco for $35? I had the mimosas which were well made!<br/><br/>Runs from 11am-2pm, we got here at 10.45am and there was already a queue to get in! Most of us already had reservations (recommended).<br/>The inside was spacious, heaps of natural light and airy as well.<br/>Unfortunately, it started getting really loud as the day progressed.<br/><br/>There's finger food (Chips, cheese etc), brunch option ($15 if you go as a set with the bottomless deal, or $16 off the menu) - unfortunately nothing really stood out on the menu.<br/><br/>Bottomline - great catch up spot :) Could use a revision on the food menu.
Brungiel
Came here for drinks the other night so I can't comment on the food, but the atmosphere as a bar was just cold, uninviting, boring. Under the pretence of exuding an air of sophistication, both staff and patrons give off a prudish, snobby vibe that is unenjoyable for everybody: if the only thing making your bar "fancy" is a self-imposed smart-casual dress code, then you don't have much of a leg to stand on, do you? Surely standing for something -- be it exceptional cocktails, friendly service, fun-loving ethos, etc. -- should be an aspiration for a place like this, but unfortunately Fargo & Co delivers on no front. I won't be returning.
Lily
Came here for the boozy brunch on Sunday ($50 for 1 dish and house prosecco). The food menu was very limited, and I chose the cured salmon with croquettes. It was yummy but the size was tiny! We had to order 2 more serves of chips between us 4 girls. Beautiful building with great decor!
Hanah Penrose
Casual bar with a cool, modern atmosphere. Lots of large tables that are good for groups and they take bookings. We went to celebrate an engagement with friends and it was lovely. Nice decor and lovely atmosphere upstairs. Service was really good and quick at the bar.
IsFoodIsGood
Everyone was very very dressed up for a brunch at Fargo & Co - it was a bit awkward!<br/>We were sat in the room upstairs which is aesthetically lovely, but very rowdy and noisy when there is a lot of people in there... and it was pretty full. Even worse when the champagne mimosas are coming in thick and strong.<br/>The brunch menu is limited but very well presented. All dishes were only $16 which is good but take note that they were small servings so if you are wanting a but hangover greasy feed, this ain’t the place.<br/>All in all, lovely but not to everyone’s brunch mood.

Most Entitled Bar Staff thought it was a hassle to serve us and Management were the most disgusting humans after expressing our disappointment with service

Stopped by for drinks and a bite to eat as eateries around weren't open in the awkward time slot between post-lunch and pre-dinner. Had the pate, fried chicken, broccoli caesar salad and dumplings.<br/><br/>All 'small plates' but quite substantial and loved the broccoli caesar salad - simple, fresh and crisp. Pate and chicken were good too. Dumplings were a bit disappointing. Kangaroo sounds appealing but reality is the meat is too lean and the filling isn't as juicy. <br/><br/>You order at the bar and there's plenty of seating downstairs with indoor and outdoor seating upstairs!
Alex1990
I attended their bottomless brunch last week. Given it is a still new setup, it definitely needs to be reviewed. They only have 1 tap for prosecco so it takes forever to get a drink and the service in the upstairs section was terrible. The lady I assume is the bar manager (blonde) was extremely rude to customers and was telling off all her staff quite badly in front of patrons. It was very uncomfortable.<br/>I'm sure it will kick off but they really need to sort out the finer details.
Croque Monster
Definitely more of a bar/club than a food spot. Depends what you're after, good for an afterwork drink but did Richmond really need another of these spots?
Simply WonderFood
This is a great new bar in the Richmond area. The bar is massive with lots of different spaces. We had two entrees - the corn, manchego & chive croquettes and the oyster mushroom, fromage fraiche & roast onion tostadas plus the skirt steak, black cabbage, onions & seaweed butter. All the food was very good! I think however I'll be returing to Fargo & Co more for a drink than for food since their drinks menu is very impressive! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!
