Today was the first time I had actually gone inside to order something and I am now making Bean in the Woods my go to cafe!
The owner (I’m terrible with names, sorry �) is lovely and you can tell he has a real passion for this cafe, and all of the work he does through it. The staff are incredibly friendly and truly look as though they enjoy being there. The take away coffee was the best I have had in months! I regret not getting a large! My focaccia was perfect! Warm and toastie, without being dried out or squished within an inch of its life (perks of a wood fire oven rather than a sandwich press �) and I am get to taste my Mars Bar slice but it looks to die for. Everything is presented beautifully, even for a take away order and I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough!
Absolutely loving this place! Awesome coffee and yummiest pita and vegetarian pizza!! Can't wait to try everything else! The staff are super friendly and inviting! Our new fav cafe :-)

Every now and again you come across a place that ticks all the boxes. Bean in the Woods is that place. I came here for a light breakfast but the menu tempted me in every direction plus the staff made the whole experience quite unique.
Their spacious, light and open restaurant caters for everyone both in comfort but also in culinary choices. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone and best of all - whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner - it's available all day so don't worry if you feel like having bacon and eggs late in the day because there are no rules here.
I'd been watching Bill the owner speak with his customers and his staff on a level was both delightful and refreshing. We chatted briefly and his passion / dedication to food and service comes from the heart - the loss of his sister! Her values around hospitality have clearly had an affect on how Bill focuses his energy to giving every customer an exceptional experience. "The heart is in the front of house and the soul is in the kitchen" (hope I've quoted him correctly) and that's exactly what I saw. Young 'waiters' pre-empting a customer's needs, putting another bottle of water on the table, asking if they'd like their milkshake to take away because they didn't finish it all, making way for a customer with a walking frame, so the path to the table was easy. These small actions cascade to a reaction of being seen and heard.
Now down to the food. I had an iced latte that was excellent. Could've been a little colder but heck it was a hot day and I doubt anything could've quenched my thirst. After tossing between several dishes, the lamb pizza caught my eye and within 15 minutes, it was on my table looking absolutely photosnapping, mouth watering delicious. It was! Lamb tender. The base not too thick. Plenty of toppings. And of course, I couldn't get through it all, so was able to take the two slices home with me.

I'm a HUGE fan. The food is fresh and delicious. The owners are like family and the staff could not do enough for you. The menu is constantly added to or updated. They function well on the busiest of days and I can highly recommend booking a table for that special occasion.

Have bean past this place before, but have not bean inside until today .. ok, ok, enough of the bean jokes!
Note that the name of the place is obviously a reference to the 2011 American comedy-gore movie named "Cabin in the woods" (rated R and honestly the goriest horror movie I've ever seen .. I wouldnt recommend the movie to anyone, if it did star Chris Hemsworth!). Ironically this movie would definately not be the choice of viewing for most of the customers who frequent here (often families with small kids, and retirees) .. as well as the 100 or so small children who have hand-drawn pictures for their wall, though funny enough some of those children drew monsters, like out of some horror movie.. again, ironic!!
But seriously .. this place rocks for lunch, or coffee and cake. They have a sizable menu and their display food looks quite delicious. Coffee is quite ok, the service is friendly and prompt, and the restaurant is definately child friendly with paper and pencils for the kids. I had a spicy souvlaki wrap with pepperoni, chicken, roast capsicum as well as jalapenos .. it was absolutely yum! The wife had a chicken and lamb dish with pita bread, taziki sauce, chips and Greek salad
.. a delicious and generous meal. Would love to try their cakes next time. Decor is neat, bright, welcoming, fresh and clean... completely the opposite of the aforementioned horror movie! We'll be back for sure!
Went here with a friend recently. The cafe was really family friendly. They had colouring in sheets & the put them up on there wall, which I thought was really sweet. The lady who served us was super friendly & was easily to talk to. My friend got the big breakfast without beans & chorizo but with avocado & I got the sweet dreams waffles. The big breakfast looked good as! My friend ate all of it! I liked the sweet dreams waffles as well. Except I think they used pancake mixture. So it was a pancake flavour in a waffle mould. But still pretty good! Came with lots of icecream & fairy floss.
Great range of choices in a full menu. I really appreciated the option of eggs without toast & was able to add perfectly crispy bacon for a total of $10. Great value & no wasted toast. My sister had the banana bread waffles which was served beautifully topped with Persian fairy floss. Yummy! Hot drinks were served with the meals exactly as we requested. Very enjoyable meal. We will be back
Hands down, best coffee in Ringwood! I look forward to my daily almond cappuccino from Bean In the woods! The staff are super nice and food portions are massive, delicious and so well priced! Very kid friendly with paper and pencils to entertain my daughter, so I can enjoy my coffee! Love your work Bean In The Woods!
This place is such an asset for Ringwood. I work in Ringwood Square and is so great to have such high quality food and coffee at our doorstep. The portions are more than generous and the pricing is incredibly reasonable. Aside from the great food, you come here for the customer service. The owner always has a smile on his face and greets all his customers warmly. The rest of the staff are definitely a positive extension of him because they’re all equally friendly and attentive. I only wish this place was closer to my house. On a side note, I also am lactose intolerant and usually have that milk in my coffees. This place only has soy milk but it’s probably the only place that I’m more than happy to drink a soy coffee from because it’s so good. Thanks as always guys. Keep up the great work :)
