Laurent offers exceptional coffee, pastries, baked goods and sandwiches. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Cannot fault the quality or service of Laurent.
Bread made of dreams!!! So fresh, so tasty. Once you try Laurent bread, you will be hooked. When you visit Laurent Bakery you need to do 2 things. Eat their desserts and eat their bread. 100% do the duo!
The desserts and bakery goods are delicious and top quality. Must try the bora bora, mietta and castel desserts. The coffee here is great too. The ciabatta and other breads from the bakery are the best money can buy. Great place for catching with friends.

I can always rely on Laurent to deliver the goods, as I find them consistent throughout all their stores. When I'm after a nice coffee and French pastry, I know that Laurent is a good choice. Situated in a great location in Eastland shopping centre, this cafe is attractive and clean.
The staff were excellent, and I found them friendly and patient despite it being quite busy. The coffee was fantastic, and our choc chip cream puff, and lemon meringue tart were both amazing and delicious. Everything looks pretty, and I always find it difficult to choose from the amazing array of treats. Laurent is a cafe staple that I know I will return to time and time again.
I've been to many Laurent's across Melbourne and their coffee is consistently great. The Eastland store is located in front of Myer just below the Outdoor Dining Precinct, with plenty of seats both inside and outside.
I had a quick cuppa before going shopping and my flat white was spot on. Strong and hot (not scolding!), while not overly milky, allowing one to taste the flavour profile of the beans. While $4.25 for a small with no extras is higher than Melbourne's $4 standard, many places now charge $4.50 or more and 25c is worth a guaranteed hit.
Laurent's also sell a variety of cakes, pastries, sandwiches and pies. Their produce is consistently fresh and tasty, while priced at the market rate. The smaller cakes for approx $10 are intricately decorated and super Instagramable. The only thing I don't like is charging extra for dining in (no one else does this) but it's not a deal breaker.
The bora bora cake (chocolate outside) was incredibly amazing. The texture was consistent and the sweetness was at the right consistency. The raspberry with the chocolate ring was really nice and it was really fluffy and had that good raspberry flavour as mention by the cake name
A rainy day had us come to Laurent at Eastland! Feeling like the sweet tooth’s we are, we thought we’d get a cake to accompany our drinks.

Couldn’t fault the coffee / hot chocolate, the strength of both was great. The Concorde was literally death by chocolate. There was so much chocolate in it that unfortunately the hot chocolate drink could not be finished. The Citrus Meringue was as refreshing as you’d expect but lacked the crust we were wanting.
There are multiple Laurent Boulangerie patisseries around town and their display cabinets are always filled with multiple colourful and tasty creations.
We opted for the passionfruit tart today which looked plain but tasted complex. The thin crust was not too sweet and balanced out the filling. There was enough of a hint of passionfruit in the almost perfect custard which resulted in a combination of sweet and tangy flavours. The end result was a tart that was devoured in record time!
Such a quiet understated place. Its away from the hustle and bustle of the regular shoppers. Great array of pastries and sweets. A coffee a pie was just right for afternoon tea.
