Regatta, Rose Bay has a beautiful view and a wonderful atmosphere and customer service. Complimentary salmon, bread and butter. Perfect for a special occasion. I booked a table right by the window. The food was delicious and rich in flavor. I ordered green beans which were a side as my entree. I also ordered the Rump Steak and the Risotto. I highly recommend all that I had ordered.
Altogether, it was about $95 excluding drinks.
I really love this place. Wonderful restaurant. The Atmosphere and service are excellent. The menu does change often which is nice and the views out to the bay are really lovely, great for overseas visitors. There is s terrace area which is great for drinks or a small function. 4.5 stars from me.
Harbour waterviews on all three sides of the restaurant space set a tone of sophistication and elegance making this a premiere destination experience. In setting those standards, it's impossible to flaw the technique or food. Came here for a work conference in which the (in my opinion) conservative menu targeted to locals and tourists, allowed them to mix it up a little. For Entree I had a goat cheese and herb tart, king salmon for main and dark chocolate for dessert. Flawless! Excellent service! Reasonable wait times! Magnificent ambience!
I was lucky to be invited to a Christmas lunch here by the amazing PR group Wilkinson Butler, and I was amazed that the food matched up to the surroundings. I heard that Regatta has been through a few changes in the last years, but it seems to have found its feet. Executive chef Damien Pignolet and head chef Michael Morrison are serving up perfect modern Australian food. Each of my three courses was beautiful. I liked the witty serve of chicken liver paté with figs and a fruit sorbet and brioche toast.
Stopped by here for a quick drink and bite to eat on a hot Sunday afternoon. Wait staff are very welcoming . Fantastic location with beautiful views of the harbor. The crab and zucchini croquettes are really tasty.
Seriously, before I write my view. I want to say it's no fair for such great place only be rated lower than 3!
Service: 5/5 warmth home feeling
Coffee: 5/5 Fabulous
Price: 5/5 fair price
Stunning location overlooking the water with attentive and warm service upon every visit. Perfect place for some cocktails in the late afternoon and beautiful appetisers. The tuna tartare cones were delicious and the crispy cones were beautiful contrast. The crab and zucchini croquettes were light, fluffy and tasty. At the time the cocktail list included an amazing version of a strawberry daiquiri that was amazing and even had some surprising popping candy inside the strawberry! Very impressed !
Great food but not cheap. Excellent location with a great atmosphere. Pre dinner drinks are a must for sundowners before going on a culinary experience
I really enjoyed a group lunch at Regatta. The service was excellent and all courses of the meal were simply delicious. Well worth the expense and a real treat eating right on the water.
We went back for a second visit and had the 'Sydney Festival feast'. You can select an entree from a choice of two, so we tried both. Mine was the heirloom beetroot, roquefort and frisée salad with candied walnuts and vinaigrette. Hubby got the salmon marinated in white wine, herbs and aromatics. It was sitting surround avocado, eschalots and roe. This was quite a generous serving.
For the main, I had the grilled spatchcock with tomatoes, black olives, basil, capers and fennel vinaigrette. This was sitting atop grilled white perfect polenta. Hubby got the fish and chips (fried), thin chips. I think these foods would suit most crowds. It also comes with 1 glass of wine for $55.
What a beautiful place - great views of some incredibly rich people's boats and our marvellous Harbour. Space for a party, dining for a nice dinner or just an evening drink. We had a range of cocktails (may I suggest the espresso martini with chocolate on top) and wines and shared some salted cod croquettes that were delicious as well as fries. It's quite expensive, but worth a visit for the view, especially at sunset.
