Review Plantae Cafe Deli - Rozelle

Always a great feed at Lombardo’s! Their panini’s are so good and there is a great range of flavours / toppings to choose from. They also serve the best coffee’s, I’ve never had a bad coffee from this place. Definitely worth a try!

Great coffee here and food which has become even better over time. Has a deli section for continental meats and cheeses. Panini’s for lunch are great. In-house smoker brisket and bbq’s are regular options also.

Amazing food and coffee! They have the best panini’s in the business. Highly recommend trying this place out!

This is the best panini I've had in Australia. Actually this is the 2nd best panini I've ever had, second only to a tiny cafe in Florence. I got the porchetta panini and it was jam packed with a mass of thinly sliced porchetta, marinated capsicum, sliced large green olives, pesto and provolone. The focaccia was beautifully crispy without being at all dry. It was a very generous serve, at $14 I think it's a steal. You could happily split this with someone as a light meal. The coffee was good, I'd say it had more milk than your usual Aussie cappuccino, but good nonetheless. The space is cozy, and you get to see the staff running around making paninis, slicing the meat and cheese fresh from their deli.

Nothing fresh about this place, We sat near the kitchen and noticed the Meatball sub came out of a microwave and the burger didn't come from the kitchen. Needless to say we were sick after eating here, I would avoid this place at all costs.

Extremely friendly and welcoming. Despite the renovations affecting the breadth of the menu the coffee was great and the food delicious. We had 5 of our grandchildren with us and were made to feel comfortable. We had one vegan and gf diner and were well catered for.

Under new management since late last year (or so it seems), Plantae is a MUST to try as it offers an alternative to the regular cafe because of the delicious smallgoods on offer. The new owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The coffee is great and while the menu itself has plenty of delicious options, what I love is that you can have an anti-pasto plate or a sandwich made to order with your choice of cold cuts, cheeses and marinated veg from the deli cabinet. Did I mention very friendly staff?🤗😁

So this is probably not the most vegan friendly place but props to them for having a vegan option! The dish was tasty but pretty bland and quite easily recreated at home. It was also way overpriced especially when the portion was tiny. 😔 Also, the food took quite long to come out unfortunately. For these reasons I probably won't be back but to be fair, the taste (despite the blandness) was nice and I'm sure their other dishes would be better.

Opened by one of the baristas from Lot1 (vale) I have high hopes for Plantae to produce a quality coffee. Our visit on the first day of offerings was as you would expect with a little disorganisation but the coffee was good and the food tasty. My Loco eggs had a chorizo more of a sausage taste but flavoursome nonetheless and the egg well poached. Not sure a chickpea is something I ever want at breakfast (or most any other time) but it worked ok here. Neat enough decor much along the lines of many a cafe and with a wider Italian offering of a modest deli section and eight or so flavours of gelato. <br/>Looking forward to trying the salted coffee and more of the menu in time.
