Had the nasi lemak and it was really good value. Generous serving with flavorsome components. Decent amount of sambal which lasted the meal (normally you get a tablespoon which is finished half way through the meal). Will definitely be coming back.
The perfect place for breakfast. Authentic Malaysian breakfast, flavoured to the very core of the BEST! Keep up the good work, we'll be back for more...
I drove for 40 minutes to get a nasi lemak, roti canai and teh tarik fix and it did not disappoint. Generous portions, reasonable prices, great tasting food and friendly service.
Absolutely the best nasi kerabu and the spices used for marination of fried tuna fish and chicken really brings out authentic flavours. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Cannot recommend higher!
Love the ambience and love the food. Great service.
Haven’t been there for a while and thought you loved some where else. Pls stay longer !
Roti prata was amazing. Loved it and the variety they offer. Service was really really good too! Very helpful. The kaya toast wasnt as crispy as id like and the curry was abit thin. But overall enjoyable and would return.
This place only do breakfast till 11am daily. Ordered the Asian Malay style big breakfast which can fit 2 persons stomach unless you are big eater. Love the combination as it’s save the trouble of being stuck in a dilemma of choices. Good taste and worth the value.
Absolutely fantastic food! I had the best Nasi Lemak I’ve had at The Sarapan, and tried other dishes as well, all were delicious and fresh. Great prices and friendly, lots of great halal options!
Sarapan stands for breakfast in Malay and this place serves up an authentic Malaysian brekkie.
I ordered the roti canai and was taken back home. Crispy and light, incredibly flaky... It was perfect. For $5 it wasn't Malaysian prices, but pretty standard for Australia. The curry was served with a nice hit of sambal. I had this together with a scalding hot Teh Tarik, a perfect combination.
They do also sell kuih here and I am keen to try more of their menu in the future.
Tried the roti telur here, not bad but could be crispier on the outside. The sambal in the dhal curry provided nice spicy kick. Would like to try their nasi lemak and other western style breakfast dishes next time!
We ordered the Roti Canai and the Big Sarapan. First of all, the roti was amazing- thin and crispy, served with dahl. The Big Sarapan came with Nasi Lemak, roti canai, kaya toast and a pandan cake. Nasi Lemak- Amazing! Sambal was perfect and coconut rice was great! Kaya toast was the best part- fluffy white bread with warm kaya.
Ordered the big sarapan here. Oh my gosh can I just say they weren't using the word 'big' in vain. Firstly, this is definitely one of the more authentic nasi lemak I've ever tasted in Perth. The sambal in particular just hits home when I tasted it. The rice and chicken could perhaps do with a bit more flavour, but still good nevertheless. I loved the chilled vibe in here and the well decorated interior (I'm aware this is a pop up venue). They also have these desserts (see photo) from traditional to modern ones (Pandan Gula Melaka Cake and Pandan infused brownies). The hot teh tarik which my friend ordered came in a big cup, too! Defo worth the money (compared to Sedap Place and Pappa Rich) and a nice way to flush down the meal. Overall, the food was scrumptious, the vibe was welcoming, the staff were very friendly, and the menu variety is great as they cater for both western and eastern. I definitely would be back to savour more !
