Great Felafels and Turkish coffee and various sweets are fantastic as well... Really nice hummus and pita bread too. I haven't tried their kebabs but they are on my list
This is our go-to takeaway shop, great service, excellent menu, and the food never disappoints, our faves are the gozleme and boreks!! bread, dip salad also amazing
have gotten takeaway from these guys twice now, and both times the food and service have both been great.
this time we got a chicken kebab with egg and a HSP (meat box with chips and sauce). the kebab is the biggest kebab i’ve ever had in my life! the wrap was nice and crispy but soft to bite into, and there was so much meat i had chunks falling out onto my plate with each bite! HSP box too was filled to the brim with meat and a good portion of chips underneath.
we won’t be going anywhere else for a kebab fix from now on!
We visited Ayhans at 8:30pm at night but turns out most of the menu was not available as their dough ran out so we came back the next day at 2:30pm and finally got to try the Chicken Borek and Lamb Kavurma.
The Chicken Borek looked like the pide so we were a little confused as it deviated from our original expectations of what a borek was! (we google searched it) but we asked about the difference between borek and pide and it turns out one is cooked "open" and the other "closed". The dough was extremely soft and tender and the toppings and cheese were just right! Tastes great with the dips too.
The lamb kavurma was so tender. Probably one of the most tender meats we've had. It came with a giant serving of salad (a little tabouleh too yum!) and a huge portion of bread too (with hummus and tzatziki dips). Flavour was enough and not too overpowering. Both dishes weren't oily either! (Most kebabs or turkish places serve up rather oily meats and dishes).
Very satisfying and so full, we had to get the breads for take away.
Overall, a lovely meal.
The environment was very clean and bright.
I’ve only started coming here regularly and have to say the owners are one of the nicest, friendliest business owners to come across. They always greet their customers with warm friendly smiles :) The food is always fresh (prepared daily and cooked in front of you), full of flavour and in generous portions. They have won me over, highly recommended - try it, you will love it!
Wow, what delicious food! I ordered the chicken borek and lamb pide along with some baklava.
The dough is soft and light and the fillings are tasty. Glad to get a few red lights which meant I could peak into the pizza box and grab a square every now and then. So yum, thoroughly enjoyed each bite.
They also gave a complimentary half a bread of some type which was soft and yummy.
The baklava was also excellent, light, flaky, just a touch of sweetness (perfectly balanced and not sickenly sweet).
A real hidden gem. One could easily drive by this a unassuming place and not think much of it. Just a short drive from the Albany Highway cafe strip.
A homely little cafe that dishes out fresh food with so much flavour. The wife and I only do take aways from here because it's not much of a sit down cafe but the couple that run this place are so hospitable and sweet. A must try if you live around the area.
Always fresh with friendly service. Delivering consistently whether kebabs, pides, boreks, pizza, meal plates or burgers are your go-to. Quality offerings that are reasonably priced.
Just had dinner at this place with my partner. It is a very clean kebab shop. The reason why we came here is because people wrote good reviews on Zomato and trip advisor about this kebab shop, which is true.
I bought a lamb gozleme, my partner got a spinach and cheese pide. We also got hot chips to share. After our dinner, we ordered two baklavas and two Turkish coffee to top it up. The prices are very decent.
This was the first time I had Turkish coffee, which was delicious and served in a fancy cup, I love it! The gozleme and the pide was freshly prepared, and very delicious. OMG the baklava is very tasty and very crunchy too!!
The owner of the shop is very friendly. I went to the kitchen to wash my hands after my meal and even the kitchen was spotless! This must be the cleanest kebab shop I've ever been to! My partner and I enjoyed eating at this cafe. I recommend you to try this place too!
Was visiting Perth from Melbourne and I felt like some authentic turkish food. Glad to say Ayhans Turkish Cafe didn't dissapoint. I had the shish lamb kavurma (lamb stir fry) and it was very nice. It cam with dips, salad and turkish pide bread. I also tried the turkish pides. All very tasty, fresh and delicious. The service was also very friendly and genuine.
Lovely food with warm herbs. Would love to come back for more
This is a true family owned hidden gem in Kensington! I’ve been coming here since they opened some years ago and I really owe them a great review. They make all their breads, desserts and pickles in house and the couple that runs the place are so friendly ^-^ I love their kebabs and gozlemes so much! I think they do the best turkish food in perth :D everything is well priced too, I just wished I lived closer because every time I come here I think about it for days :’)
An unpretentious place. the food was freshly made and delicious. Quite a large menu of Turkish favourites. The Turkish coffee was particularly lovely served in a traditional brass coffee set. We also had apple tea with the sweet treats. A great finish. 😋
5 stars for the food every time!
Although it almost feels like something out of Seinfeld if you say too much “No food for you!”
Business booms with a light and friendly atmosphere!
Absolutely delicious ..lamb 'burger' with everything, spinach and cheese pita and baklava .. such delicious home made bread, beautiful HUGE servings.
Baklava the best I've ever eaten.
