The only cafe open in Springwood on Queens Birthday public holiday gets points from me straight away. Ordered two smashed avo, one with bacon, one with smoked salmon and two coffees - $54. Not the cheapest but was extremely happy with the food and service. Food tasted great! Coffees were very well made also. Definitely worth popping in if you’re around or travelling past.
"dbl." has had a face lift and it looks light, bright and so inviting!
I normally have one of their yummy toasted sandwiches, but this time decided to try their a la carte menu.
Great healthy and gluten free options.
I opted for my standard Smashed Avocado on Sourdough and a flat white.
Coffee bean blend has changed but still a good strong smooth coffee that hit the spot. 4.5

The Avo on Sourdough was on point. Heaps of Avocado, sprinkled with goats cheese, blistered vine tomatoes, dukkah & fresh parsley and dill for garnish. Sourdough was slightly toasted so not rock hard. 4.5/5.
Service is still how I remember, friendly and efficient.
I enjoy returning to this Cafe whenever I'm in The Blue Mountains.

The only place I will buy my coffee in The Mid Blue Mountains! Now that I have moved to Queensland, about once or twice a year we are back in the area visiting relatives and never miss a chance to emerse myself in the black and white decor, black and white painted wall mural and the blackboard wall and god forbid the wonderful blend of double ristretto coffee.
Not a huge seating area, but they make sure regulars are looked after and the cakes, slices and food is always good!
A Springwood Icon!!
Awesome cafe. I'm not a local here but their coffee is so good that I have drive all the way from Sydney to enjoy a smooth and rich cup of coffee. Their range of fudges are very tasty too. Not super sweet and dominating, but each of them got just the right balance of sweetness and flavour as named.
