I can recommend Supernomal Canteen, the food and service is first rate, the wine list like all of this group is exemplary, from last nights special of sea urchin which was sensational, I must add the butter lettuce salad and the house Riesling as a combination is worth a visit at any time, thanks for becoming our neighborhood restaurant.
Lobster roll never disappoints neither does the peanut butter parfait and soft chocolate 😋😋 the lamb bao was to die for, great wine too. 👏👍
Mmm lobster rolls. Buttery and delicious.
We also enjoyed the habachi chicken tsukune.
Great spot for a sunny at Kilda lunch.
Will be back for the lobster roll

This is our second time we came here and they've let us down! They forgot our order, the food was slow, the air circulation here is not very good. When the chef started cooking , the whole place was fulled with smoke. The smoke is not suitable for premium dining.
We ended up having ur clothes and hair filled with smokey smell. 😣
However, we still love the lobster roll and the duck. The rest seems to be more on the salty side.
We had a private event here and the food and service was absolutely faultless. All of our guests left commenting about how exceptional the food was. The staff and service was amazing and they thought of every detail for our special day.
We originally planned to try the city restaurant but decided to stop here instead after a scenic drive along Beach Rd to Beacon Cove. Staff were very attentive, efficient and informative. We were told the hibachi grill dishes set this place apart from its city resto. The off-menu Spicy Grilled Wings is a standout in taste and presentation. The Grilled Baby Octopus salad is equally superb. Lobster Roll looks and tastes delicately light. Prawn and Chicken Dumplings in chilli was ok. Char Siu Pork Neck was tough (hence the 4 rating). If you're prepared for the high-end prices and demure serves, it's worth coming here for a special treat
tapas food with asian twisted. Food was super good and flavourful the only down side is the price is a bit expensive. however the service made up for it.
Delicious Asian-inspired food and very reasonably priced. We had the $10 sup noodle cups - the best noodle soup I've ever had - and shared a large plate of mixed dumplings. A very filling and warming meal for a cold Winter's night. We loved the decor too, very stylish (shades of Tokyo) with a lovely light and warmth about the place. The service was faultless.
This tapas-style restaurant serves mainly Asian-style dishes. All the dishes we had were mostly delicious, though I thought 17 dollars for a tiny lobster roll is very overpriced.
I went here during Supernormal Natsu and I recommend it highly for when it comes around again. Checkout the photos of a 7-course set menu we tried, and were blown away by.
Crudités: Zucchini flower, cucumber, tomato, peas each with its own refreshing dressing. They look like plain, bland veggies on a plate but you are pleasantly surprised when their beautiful flavours.
Rye cracker, torched avocado, finger lime, avocado mousse. What a great combination of ingredients to put together! ❤️
Soft, melt-in-the-mouth mozzarella with sweet nectarine, Serragghia capers, tomatoes and fresh lovage. I was surprised by how nice these capers tasted. The nectarine slices tasted divine with the salty capers and really balanced the dish.
Warm, mouth-watering grilled flatbread w/ smack-in-the-face white miso bagna cauda. 🤩 did you know bagna cauda literally translates to hot bath? I can still taste this in my mouth even days after I ate this deliciousness.
Grilled and marinated heirloom zucchini, yogurt, burnt butter, mint and Aleppo pepper. Did you know there are so many ways to love zucchini? I can’t believe I have never had yogurt and burnt butter before! It blew me away! 😲 This was my favourite dish of the 7-course menu at Supernormal Natsu.
Tomato curry with toasted chickpeas and eggplant, with a side of Lune croissant served as roti. Honestly this was not very likeable. I think I have too much baggage and I will never be impressed with any non-traditional version of Indian cuisine.
Didn’t think I would get to eat a literal oil puddle in a dessert. Fromage blanc sorbet, crystallised herbs, olive oil and edible flower. Beautiful creamy sorbet did remind me of cheese, and the tiny sugary herbs were definitely needed for that delicate balance of flavours.
We used to come to one in the city. I'm glad they open in St Kilda. The food is overpriced but really GOOD! The service is friendly and nice. Will definitely come back with a family & friend in occasionally.
Make sure you get the hibachi chicken wings. Wowwwww. So yum! And get the duck bao too. It's deconstructed but it makes it better when you have to break open the soft bun yourself, pick apart the duck with the crispy skin and then top it off with spring onions and as much (or little) sauce as you want. If you haven't been, you must go. Now!
Amazingly delicious food. We went for the banquet which was great value and allowed us to try a great selection of the menu. The lobster rolls did not disappoint! The peanut butter parfait for dessert was also an excellent finish to the meal. Perfect for a special meal.
First time here. Arrived at 12 (30mins earlier than our booking) but was kindly still seated earlier. Service was great, very attentive and food was great. Everything we ordered was very delicious - I especially liked the yakitori
First time here in Melbourne. Walk in with no expectation because the restaurant is just beside my hotel. The service was great, very attentive and food was great. Everything we ordered was very delicious - absolutely in love with this place 👍🏻 (manage to took only 1 photo as the food were too good)
Solid and tasty. I’m vegetarian but my dinner companion had a number of the signature dishes which were followed by ooh and aaah of delight and silence while the taking a moment to savour the flavour. Yum. Has a nice outlook over the top end of Albert park. My only ask would be if they could add some more adventurous vegetarian options to the menu.
Amazing food and great service, we where a party of four and everything we got was so tasty, the king sashimi and vegetarian dumpling where very good while the prawn chicken dumpling and the lamb was amazing
Great food.If you walk in without a booking the only the place available is on the middle at the communal table or next to the window...Staff is incredibly kind.Food served in a timely manner.Have a look at the menu. The dumplings with chicken and prawns were amazing as well as the lobster roll.Would skip the whiting and the pork rolls next visit. The peach with the burn honey ice cream was worth it.Highly reccomend the place. It is already heaving with people and very popular. Will go back for sure.
Extremely thoughtful and brilliantly executed menu. We had the banquet which was a great combination. Everything was great, duck and pumpkin the standout. Children loved the lobster. Great selection of wines but friendly and attentive service made the day. Well done. Highly recommended.
