On bustling Acland St, Jimmy O'Neill's is a cool Irish pub that definitely attracts a backpacker crowd. This place goes off in Summer, especially on night's with live music. It's a small space, but it has a relaxed atmosphere and is a good place to get a drink.
I haven't dined here, but the menu looks pretty good. They have a pretty good drinks selection, especially if you like Irish beers and whisky. However, you can still get wines, spritzes and cocktails as well.
Having been here several times, I've always enjoyed myself. It's a nice spot for a few drinks and some fantastic live music.
Beer selection is average, furphy, carlsberg and stone & wood. And guinness of course.
Atmosphere is OK. However, they do a cracking chicken Parma. Crispy, awesome chips and good coleslaw. I'll be back for the Parma for sure.
Great little Irish pub positioned in the heart of Acland St. Service was good, I wanted to try some of the gins and the bartender offered his insight. The pub was packed by about 9ish with a mixed crowd. Everyone was having a good time and there was live music which added to the great vibes.
